In this compelling video presentation, Sebastian Lehmann, representing EDAG Engineering Group AG, unveils the H1 2023 financial results, offering deep insights into the company's performance and future outlook. Starting with a backdrop of the current global economic climate, Lehmann touches upon the ongoing inflationary pressures experienced particularly in Europe and the unexpected deflationary tendencies in China. Despite the volatile market, EDAG emerges resilient with significant achievements. A standout performance indicator is robust revenue growth, showcasing an impressive 10% surge. Especially noteworthy is the electrics/electronic segment, which saw a whopping increase, underscoring EDAG's strategic evolution towards becoming a digitally dominant player in engineering services. The financial highlights continue with a record-breaking order intake, indicating a promising future. EDAG's commitment to innovation is not solely confined to numbers. Lehmann proudly introduces their groundbreaking lightweight battery housing, a collaborative venture with Mitsubishi Chemical and Kaiser Electric, marking a significant stride in tech innovation. However, growth has its challenges. The latter half of the presentation delves deep into a comprehensive financial analysis. Comparisons to the previous year, segment-wise performances, and factors affecting EBIT margins are meticulously addressed. The capex, working capital, and net financial debt are also explored, providing investors with a holistic view of the company's financial health. As the presentation wraps up, the future outlook remains encouraging. Despite geopolitical uncertainties, particularly the situation in Ukraine and potential wage and energy price shifts, EDAG's projections remain sanguine, with an anticipated 4-7% revenue growth. For stock investors and stakeholders, this video is a comprehensive guide to understanding EDAG's H1 2023 performance and the future of this engineering giant. ▶️ Other videos: Elevator Pitch: https://seat11a.com/investor-relations-elevator-pitch/ Company Presentation: https://seat11a.com/investor-relations-company-presentation/ Deep Dive Presentation: https://seat11a.com/investor-relations-deep-dive/ Financial Results Presentation: https://seat11a.com/investor-relations-financial-results/ ESG Presentation: https://seat11a.com/investor-relations-esg/ 00:00 Edag Engineering Group AG 00:17 Market Environment 01:41 Key Highlights H1 2023 03:10 Revenues 05:18 EBIT 07:10 Eat and Equity 07:26 Headcount and Capex 08:27 Trade Working Capital 09:05 Cash Flow 09:29 Net Financial Debt w/. and w/o. Sebastian Lehmann, Head of Investor Relations at Edag Engineering, discusses the fundamental change in the mobility industry in his "Transformation in The Automotive Industry" presentation. While many people believe the transformation is centred around the shift from internal combustion engines to electric mobility, there are two other significant effects: electric architectures and software-defined cars. The electric architecture of the future will have fewer ECU but more actuators without embedded software, requiring a new architecture to fulfil the needs of software updates and connectivity. The software-defined car will have three layers: basic hardware infrastructure, an operating system, and an application-level layout. Cybersecurity will also be an integral part of the development process. These changes will disrupt well-established value chains in the automotive industry. Engineering services providers must support integrating and optimising new value chains for future mobility. The German automotive industry is expected to spend around €320 billion until 2026 on research and development and new or modified plants, making it a significant market for engineering services providers.
--- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
In the third episode of the second season of Untangled we are back in the realm of futuristic mobility solutions. EDAG is a German company operating on a global scale with offices all around the world and one of the world's largest independent development partners to the automotive industry. Now EDAG and IOTA are cooperating on two solutions to solve current problems of mobility in the cityscape. The EDAG Citybot is an autonomous car that can drive around controlled enviroments and through its modularity concept take on different tasks such as taxi service, package delivery, garbage management or even gardening work. The Citybot comes with an entire ecosystem surrounding it and IOTA is also a stakeholder in this project. Together with d-fine, EDAG and IOTA have also cooperated on the trive.me Smart Parking App and developed a Proof of Concept where IOTA is being utilized as the transaction mechanism. Hear more about all of it in the latest episode of Untangled with the respective product owners from EDAG, Johannes Barckmann and Alexander Süssemilch.
