NFL Draft Analyst Dane Brugler joins Ken Carman and Anthony Lima to bring some much-needed context to the Brendan Sorsby hype, explaining that while the talent and physical tools are real, the tape shows a quarterback who's still raw in his reads, protections, and mechanics, making him more of a day two projection even before factoring in the gambling situation. Brugler lays out why the Browns, Jets, and Cardinals make the most sense as landing spots if Sorsby slips far enough in the supplemental draft, and breaks down how the asking price, a third-round pick versus a day three flier, changes the entire calculus for taking the swing. He also tackles the looming 2027 question, weighing whether banking on Sorsby now could actually cost a team a shot at a generational talent like Jeremiah Smith.
Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber react to a messy mix of New York sports drama, from frustration over a Brunson versus deGrom social media graphic to fresh Yankees injury updates involving Trent Grisham, Jason Dominguez, and Max Fried. The conversation turns serious with a debate over Brendan Sorsby, his college gambling history, and whether an NFL team should take a chance on him in the supplemental draft. The guys weigh talent, risk, integrity, and whether the Jets should even consider inviting that kind of controversy into their quarterback room.

Now that the Knicks have won, there's only one team in town that still seems impossible and that's the Jets. Rex Ryan and Mark Sanchez were close. The Jets need their Jalen Brunson.
With the Knicks winning, we debate if the Jets are the last impossible team in town that desperately needs their own Jalen Brunson. Jerry's update brings us Mikal Bridges downing 9am tequila and making goat noises to Coldplay on IG Live, before we hear Michelle Beadle and Draymond Green weigh in on the Spurs skipping postgame handshakes. We then revisit James Dolan's pre-playoff address and recap the Mets getting crushed 12-0 by the Reds, closing the hour by discussing NJ World Cup commutes with Yussef in-studio getting ready for Morocco.
The Knicks' championship hangover dominates the show as we tackle James Dolan's White House dilemma, Mikal Bridges' tequila-fueled Coldplay celebrations, and OG Anunoby completely spacing out on Good Morning America. We debate if the Jets are New York's last impossible team to fix, while checking in on the Mets' brutal 12-0 blowout that had Carlos Mendoza sprinting through his postgame presser. Plus, we cover a little bit of everything—from a wild White House UFC event and Spurs handshake drama to James Harden's arrest, Shaun Morash dropping the Knicks' trophy cake, and World Cup roster rules—before wrapping up with JD Vance hitting The View and J-Lo gatekeeping true New Yorkers.

Fresh off his trip to Italy, Mike Golic Jr. joins the show to discuss the New York Knicks winning a championship and how it gives him hope as a fan of Notre Dame. Mike thinks it is worth it for a lot of teams to take a flyer on Brendan Sorsby in the NFL Supplemental draft. Could the Jets take him? Mike had grand plans for his wedding but learned quickly he is not in charge.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Evan Roberts and Tiki Barber keep unpacking the Knicks championship celebration, from the games fans will rewatch forever to the moments that may define this title run years from now. The conversation captures the strange mix of joy, nostalgia, and what comes next after a team finally delivers a championship. They debate the most memorable games of the Knicks postseason, whether OG Anunoby's tip or Jalen Brunson's 45 point clincher will live longer in fan history, and how James Dolan's awkward but heartfelt apology gave Evan a surprising reason to believe the Jets might someday have their own breakthrough.

Give credit to Jets GM Darren Mougey for continuing to lock up his quality young players by signing center Joe Tippmann to a four-year extension. The deal will pay Tippmann up to $62 million with half of that guaranteed. https://api.spreaker.com/v2/episodes/72534900/download.mp3 Tippmann becomes latest piece of the Jets puzzle to be given a new deal by Mougey who has also inked Garrett Wilson, Jeremy Ruckert, Breece Hall and (briefly) Sauce Gardner. By extending Tippmann, the Jets have three of their five offensive line spots filled for at least the next few seasons with Olu Fashanu at left tackle and Armand Membou at right tackle. Donald Parham and Josh Myers are projected to start at left guard and center respectively. According to Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic, the deal makes Tippmann the 15th-highest paid guard in the NFL. Perhaps the most important aspect of the Joe Tippmann extension is that the Jets continue to put an offense in place that should be a nice landing spot for whichever quarterback they take with their first pick in next year’s draft. Mougey hasn’t only worked to steady the O-line, but has extended Wilson while trading for AD Mitchell, re-signing Breece Hall and drafting Omar Cooper Jr., Kenyon Sadiq and Mason Taylor. The post Jets Reward Joe Tippmann With Four-Year Extension appeared first on JetNation.com - New York Jets Blog & Forum. Ken gets fired up after hearing Parker Brailsford is taking first-team reps at center, using it as the latest piece of evidence that Andrew Berry's drafts are trending up now that Paul DiBiase is out of the picture. Anthony pumps the brakes, reminding Ken that good drafts don't automatically translate to wins, pointing to the Jets and Saints as cautionary tales. Berry's Peter Schrager interview also draws mixed reactions, with Ken loving the vision but acknowledging the proof will have to come when the games actually count.
In this episode, we discuss what needs to happen for Geno Smith to have a bounce-back 2026 campaign. Also, the Jets are making it look easy as they fly under the radar through three weeks of OTAs. That, and much more. If you've enjoyed episode, make sure to leave a positive rating if you're listening on Apple. Enjoy!
