Starting Over with B*Witched is back... But this time it's all about you! In the first series, Edele, Keavy, Lindsay and Sinead talked about the times that they've had to start over in their life, from new careers to new relationships. The reaction to the first series was incredible, and so many of you had your own stories about starting over... Or you were asking the girls for their advice! Therefore, we thought we'd record their reactions and let you hear them on the podcast. In this episode... Chloe in Dubai is considering moving back to the UK with her 3 year old daughter... How much of a support network do you need when your kids hit school age? Sarah's body is going through a change, but her husband doesn't understand how she's feeling... How can you explain the menopause to a man, when men's bodies don't go through the same thing? Jason in Glasgow wanted to ask about rebuilding friendships... Is it worth trying to rebuild after a big argument, or sometimes do you need to accept that some friendships naturally come to an end? If you'd like to get in touch with Edele, Sinead, Lindsay and Keavy about any of the subjects they discuss in Starting Over, they'd love to hear from you: follow @BWitchedReunion on Twitter or @BWitchedOfficial on Instagram, or @BWitchedReunion on Facebook. Of course, if you've got anything you'd like to get some advice on, then drop the girls a message and your starting over dilemma may make it on to the podcast! Much is happening in the US immigration world, and this crew chats about the good, the bad, and the highly questionable. This month Erin, Kelly, Keavy and Olga discuss a range of changes happening at the policy and court levels, from the recent Biden Administration's Spring 2021 Unified Agenda of Regulatory and Deregulatory Actions for immigration, changing policies around victims of crime and victims of violence, Vice President Kamala Harris's words towards asylum-seekers, and more. EDIT: A previous version of this episode stated that F-1 and M-1 student visas permit them to remain for "Duration of Status" - the student visas that state this are for F-1 and J-1 students, not M-1 students. In the final episode of their podcast Starting Over, Edele, Sinead, Lindsay and Keavy from B*Witched talk about their experiences of divorce. Divorce rates are increasing across the world, and of course, this is being linked to the stresses that the pandemic has had on relationships. In this episode, Edele talks about the breakdown of her marriage and the affect that it had on her general wellbeing. She is honest about the physical as well as the emotional reaction that she experienced, and urges anyone who's feeling the same way to reach out if they're struggling. Lindsay talks about the breakdown of her first marriage and how difficult it can be to unpick your lives from each other, especially when the relationship has been a constant in your life for so long. She makes the point that there is light at the end of the tunnel, and talks about how she had to learn how to make sure past experiences didn't affect new relationships.Ultimately, everyone deserves happiness and you always have a choice - even if that choice feels like an impossible one to make. In the fifth episode of their new podcast Starting Over, Keavy joins Edele, Sinead and Lindsay for the first time as the girls talk about motherhood!Keavy has just had twins and talks about how she's been in lockdown for over a year because of her pregnancy. She's experiencing all of the normal things that you go through when you have a new baby, like the lack of sleep - but because of the pandemic, it's been a very different experience to normal (only a handful of people have met the new babies so far, and her parents may not even meet them until after their first birthday). All of the girls are Mum's, and they talk about what is expected of mothers and the pressures that Mum's can sometimes feel. You're bombarded with information... Everyone has their own opinion on how to be a parent... But the girls talk about how you can choose to be the mother you want to be, and how you shouldn't put too much pressure on yourself at what can be a really vulnerable time. They also talk about how you can feel a loss of identity when you become a new Mum, and how it can be difficult to achieve balance in your life as a whole. As always, they're open, they're honest and they hope that this podcast helps you if you're going through a tough time. In the fourth episode of their new podcast Starting Over, Edele, Sinead and Lindsay from B*Witched talk about financial loss - both in terms of the band coming to an end, but also the losses that they faced as a result of the global recession in 2008 which hit Ireland particularly badly. Sinead talks about the pressure she felt after she'd invested in properties and saw them all tumbling into negative equity as a result of the recession - she was pregnant at the time, and felt a huge responsibility on her shoulders. Edele talks about the financial pressures that come with being a new Mum, and how at one point she was paying her mortgage on her credit card and moved to England in a rusty Volkswagen Passat to start over again. Lindsay talks about her Dad and how the recession affected him in Greece - he had retired at the time, and shows that financial loss can hit anyone at any stage in life. The global pandemic has affected so many people financially, and financial worry can absolutely be emotional worry. Sometimes, it can feel like there's no way out when it comes to money - but if you're in this position, we hope that the conversations in this episode encourage you to reach out and ask for help. When you do, it can be really surprising where help can come from.Keavy will of course be joining the rest of the girls a little later in the series... In the third episode of their new podcast Starting Over, Edele, Sinead and Lindsay from B*Witched talk about pregnancy and having babies - and they're not scared to get graphic!Of course, having a baby is wonderful in so many ways - but life isn't always perfect. In this episode, Sinead talks really honestly about her experiences with miscarriage and Lindsay talks about the fertility treatment she went through, and the emergency surgery she had to have as a result of an ectopic pregnancy. They talk about what happened to them, how they felt at the time, and how they tried to rationalise what had happened to them. They talk about how important it is to talk to the people you love during difficult times, and encourage anyone listening to do the same thing.Keavy will of course be joining the rest of the girls a little later in the series... She's currently a little busy as she's just had two gorgeous babies! In the second episode of their new podcast Starting Over, Edele, Sinead and Lindsay from B*Witched talk about their individual experiences of moving on and starting over after the band came to an end.For Lindsay, there were a lot of endings in a short space of time - not long before they lost their record deal, Lindsay lost her Mum, which completely consumed her. She talks really honestly about her grieving process, and how important her relationships with the other girls were at this dreadful time in her life.Sinead moved in with her boyfriend (now husband!) Michael after the band ended, and threw herself into work. She had a big ambition - she wanted to find and launch the next big Irish girl group - and she invested a lot of time and money in the process. Ultimately, it didn't work out, and Sinead talks about how she had to start again... Again! Edele moved back to Ireland and started songwriting. As well as writing for other people, she also wrote an album for herself - and in this episode she talks really openly about the difficulties she faced because of being "Edele from B*Witched". Yes, they'd had huge success - but when it comes to the music industry, this comes with negatives as well as positives. Keavy will of course be joining the rest of the girls a little later in the series... She's currently a little busy as she's just had two gorgeous babies! If you'd like to get in touch with Edele, Sinead and Lindsay about any of the subjects they discuss in Starting Over, they'd love to hear from you: follow @BWitchedReunion on Twitter or @BWitchedOfficial on Instagram, or @BWitchedReunion on Facebook.
In the first episode of their new podcast Starting Over, Edele, Sinead and Lindsay from B*Witched talk about how it felt to achieve their dreams and be on top of the world as the youngest girl band at the time to top the charts in the UK. They had four Number 1 singles, a double platinum album, they travelled the world, toured America with Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, appeared on Top of the Pops, performed at The BRITs... Only to be dropped by their record label and be faced with the prospect of starting over again. With the world going into lockdown, some of the same feelings began to surface again - what do you do when your world has been turned upside down? Edele, Lindsay and Sinead talk openly and emotionally about how they picked themselves up, dusted themselves off, and rebuilt their identities after their careers with the band came to an end, in the hope that their honesty can help other people who may be facing a similar situation as a result of the pandemic. The last year has also highlighted just how much we all need to connect, even if it is over Zoom. Of course, the girls hope that this podcast gives those who need it some good advice and the reassurance that you can put yourself back together when it feels like everything is falling apart... But by recording remotely from their homes on different sides of the Irish Sea, this podcast has also helped them to reconnect and reminisce about some of the fantastic experiences they shared together when the world was a happier place.Keavy will of course be joining the rest of the girls a little later in the series...
B*Witched shot to fame in the 90s with C'est La Vie, their debut single, going straight to Number 1 in the UK Charts. Three more Number 1 singles followed, as well as a Double Platinum Album. But after performing at The BRITS, going in to the Guinness Book of Records as the youngest girl group to ever have a Number 1 single in the UK, touring America with NSYNC & Britney Spears... Edele, Sinead, Lindsay and Keavy were dropped by their record label and had to start all over again. Starting Over with B*Witched is a podcast where the girls look back on their time in the band and it all coming to an end, speaking openly and honestly about how they felt at the time, and the difficulties they faced when rebuilding their careers and identities after the rug was pulled from underneath them. Many industries have been devastated by the events of the last year, and many people will now be finding themselves in a similar position - what do you do if you're told that you can't do the only thing you know how to do anymore, the girls draw parallels from their own experiences and share insights, stories, tears and laughter, as they discuss all the aspects of ‘Starting Over’. If you'd like to get in touch with the girls about any of the subjects they discuss in Starting Over, from dealing with financial loss to trying to move on after the loss of a loved one, they'd love to hear from you: follow @BWitchedReunion on Twitter or @BWitchedOfficial on Instagram, or @BWitchedReunion on Facebook.

There are only a few magic spells to attain a Staff-plus role: negotiate for the title while switching roles or find a supportive environment to bake in place while building your internal credibility with an empowered sponsor who’ll advocate for you. The most important reagent in both spells is picking the right company to perform them at. The good news if you’re applying to a new company is that while you might invest weeks of energy into determining if you can get a Staff role there, you won’t need to invest years. On the other hand, if you’re looking for a company to join and grow within, you’re embarking on a years-long journey into an unknown organization. This is a daunting decision to make, and picking the right company for you will have a considerable impact on whether you attain a Staff-plus role. https://lethain.com/finding-the-right-company/ staffeng.comKeavy’s API design experienceDmitry’s work on compilerswork the policy rather than the exceptionsthe Staff archetypesflying wedgean external presence and networkValues Oasisforty year career

This conversation is with Tommy Lanham. Tommy has his Masters Degree in life coaching, and he lives what he guides his clients to do and to be. He is also a minister, a musician, and a great friend of mine. [caption id="attachment_1926" align="alignright" width="201"] Tommy Lanham[/caption] It is my honor to have recorded this podcast with Tommy at the church where he grew up, and where he assisted the minister when he was about seven years old. That experience helped introduce him to the path he still walks today. He lives in Keavy, Kentucky in Laurel County with his wife and two children, who are all three amazing individuals as well. Tommy is available for individual coaching as well as keynote talks, workshops, guest preaching, and friendship. His contact information is on his website at www.tommylanham.com I am sure you will benefit from listening to our conversation.
