The San Francisco Chronicle and KRON-TV report that advocates for California's blind voters want help from federal courts. The advocates are suing California's Secretary of State. The suit comes after the State's rules give no other choice to blind and visually impaired individuals, but to give their ballots to other people in order to vote by mail. The two major Plaintiffs are the California Council of the Blind and the National Federation of the Blind of California. Tom Brady expected to retire after legendary 22-year NFL career with Patriots, Buccaneers Those close to Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady anticipate the seven-time Super Bowl champion will announce his retirement from the NFL in the near future, CBS Sports NFL insider Jason La Canfora reported Friday. As of now, the 44-year-old reigning Super Bowl MVP has yet to make a formal announcement about his future. Brady has also not yet officially informed Tampa Bay of his plans for 2022 and beyond, according to his agent, Don Yee, his father, Tom Brady Sr., and Buccaneers coach Bruce Arians. All three men provided statements to various media members amid Saturday reports from ESPN and NFL Network that indicated Brady had decided to retire after 22 seasons in the league. Teammates and close associates of Brady "remain convinced that the all-time great is preparing to retire from the game," La Canfora reported Friday, "with a formal announcement expected shortly. ... [Those peers] believe [Brady] went into this postseason knowing it would be his final run, no matter the outcome in the playoffs. ... Within the Bucs organization, sources said, there has been a growing sense that the team will end up in the market for a new starting quarterback next season." ESPN's Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington took it a step further Saturday, reporting that Brady is retiring amid family and health reasons and "believes this is the right moment to end his playing career." NFL Media quickly followed suit, echoing the report. Teammates past and present soon chimed in on social media, paying their respects to Brady's 22-year career. But Yee and Brady Sr. have since denied that the QB has decided to hang up his cleats. "This story ... is total conjecture," Brady's father told NFL Media's Mike Giardi. "Tommy has not made a final decision one way or another, and anybody else that says that he has is absolutely wrong." Brady Sr. also told KRON-TV that his son is not retiring. Just sayin’.  But wait, we’ve also got another contender for the sound byte of the day, and it’s from none other than presumptive Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden.  Biden told African American radio host “Charlamagne tha God” on a Friday morning interview that if someone is having difficulty choosing between him and Trump then they "ain't black." You know, I think that one is better than this one from the other day. It’s a total race to the bottom with these two. Honestly, I think  Churches essential Friday President Trump played to his religious electorate and announced that his administration will deem “houses of worship” as essential businesses. The President went on to call out some Governors who have deemed liquor stores and abortion clinics as essential but still won’t allow churches to reopen. Hey, what about A-A meetings at the church, is that OK? Mark Cuban calls Trump and Biden technologically illiterate Rich guy Mark Cuban said pretty much the same thing to Sean Hannity the other night, that both Trump and Biden are bad choices for leader of the free world. What’s that all about? Cuban told CNBC he hasn’t ruled out an independent run for the White House in 2020. He went on to say that he believes both Biden and Trump are, quote: “technologically illiterate,” whatever that means. Unfortunately these days, technologically literate means knowing how to like on fakebook and retweet a cat video. Just how far will some journalists go to double down just to make sure Trump doesn’t get reelected in November? Over at The Nation, journo Katha Pollitt seems to have the answer. More murder charges in Arbery case The Georgia man who filmed the shooting and death of Ahmaud Arbery has himself been arrested on murder charges. USA Today reports, William “Roddie” Bryan was charged with felony murder and criminal attempt to commit false imprisonment in Arbery’s shooting death. Bryan, had claimed he was only being a ‘good samaritan’ when he filmed Arbery’s death, but a newly released expanded version of the video apparently shows Bryan also chasing Arbery. Bryan then allegedly filmed while Arbery was shot dead. San Francisco oldest gay bar has shuttered Things are a little less fabulous in San Francisco today. The city’s oldest gay bar “The Stud” is calling it a day. The bar owner told KRON TV that due to declining revenues caused by coronavirus, they’ve decided to permanently close down their location in the Soma neighborhood.​ Too bad the place had to go down, I hear that before the pandemic, it was usually packed.

Terri Winston is the executive director of Women’s Audio Mission, a San Francisco-based nonprofit organization that uses music and media to attract over 2,000 underserved women and girls every year to STEM and creative technology studies. WAM’s award-winning curriculum weaves art and music with science, technology and computer programming and works to close the critical gender gap in creative technology careers. During Terri’s long career as a recording artist, songwriter, composer, recording engineer, and producer she noticed that less than 5% of the people creating music and media were woman. That led her to create WAM in 2003 while she was a tenured Professor and Director of the Sound Recording Arts Program at City College of San Francisco.
