Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Rabu, 3 Juni 2026Bacaan: "Pergilah! Tuhan menyertai engkau." (1 Samuel 17:37b)Bacaan: Suatu hari, seorang pemuda melamar pekerjaan ke suatu perusahaan. "Selamat, Anda diterima menjadi supir di kantor ini. Mulai besok Anda sudah bisa bekerja," ucap manajer HRD kepada seorang pelamar. "Hmmm... maaf pak, bagaimana kalau saya bekerja mulai minggu depan saja?" jawab si pelamar. "Lho, mengapa begitu?" tanya manajer HRD keheranan. "Karena satu minggu ini saya harus kursus mengemudi terlebih dahulu, pak," jawab pelamar itu dengan mantap. Cerita tersebut memang hanya humor belaka. Terlepas dari itu, ada pelajaran menarik yang bisa kita ambil, yakni sikap berani si pelamar menerima tantangan sebagai supir padahal ia sendiri belum bisa mengendarai mobil. Sikap berani itu juga pernah ditunjukkan oleh Daud saat memutuskan untuk melawan Goliat. Kita tahu bahwa Daud tidak memiliki pengalaman perang sebelumnya, apalagi perang melawan raksasa yang selama ini ditakuti oleh bangsa-bangsa lain. la hanya mempunyai pengalaman melawan binatang buas, seperti singa atau beruang. Mengapa Daud berhasil mengalahkan Goliat padahal ia belum mempunyai pengalaman di medan perang? Karena Daud memutuskan dan maju berperang bersama Allah (ay. 45). Seperti halnya Daud, tantangan dalam kehidupan ini juga pasti ada. Tantangan dapat membuat nyali kita ciut, tetapi tantangan dapat membuat kita bertumbuh. Ini tergantung bagaimana kita merespon tantangan tersebut. Belajar dari Daud, hadapilah tantangan dalam hidup kita bersama Tuhan. Pandanglah Tuhan, bukan tantangan yang ada di hadapan kita! Dengan demikian, keberanian kita untuk menaklukkan tantangan akan semakin besar dan tantangan akan semakin kecil. Saat ini, sebelum kita beraktivitas, pastikan diri sendiri bahwa Tuhan ada dipihak kita, karena Dia adalah Sumber kekuatan dan keberanian kita untuk menaklukkan tantangan apapun yang ada di hadapan kita. Tuhan Yesus memberkati.Doa:Tuhan Yesus, terima kasih untuk setiap tantangan yang aku hadapi selama ini. Aku bersyukur, selama aku mengandalkan Engkau, semua tantangan itu dapat aku lewati dengan baik. Amin. (Dod).

Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Senin, 9 Februari 2026Bacaan: "Janganlah kamu kalah terhadap kejahatan, tetapi kalahkanlah kejahatan dengan kebaikan!" (Roma 12:21)Renungan: Suatu hari, ada dua orang sahabat menghampiri sebuah lapak untuk membeli buku dan majalah. Penjualnya ternyata melayani dengan buruk. Bahkan sepanjang melayani, wajahnya terlihat cemberut. Orang pertama jelas jengkel menerima layanan seperti itu. Namun orang kedua tetap santai, tidak mempermasalahkan itu sama sekali. Bahkan ketika membayar dan hendak pergi dari sana, ia bersikap sopan kepada penjual itu. Di sebuah kafe, orang pertama berkata kepada sahabatnya, "Saya tidak habis pikir, mengapa kamu masih bisa bersikap sopan kepada penjual yang menyebalkan tadi itu." Sahabatnya menjawab, "Lho, kenapa aku harus mengizinkan dia menentukan caraku dalam bertindak? Kitalah sang penentu atas kehidupan kita, bukan orang lain." "Tapi dia melayani kita dengan buruk sekali," bantah orang pertama yang masih merasa jengkel. "Ya, itu masalah dia. Dia mau bad mood, tidak sopan, melayani dengan buruk, toh itu tidak ada kaitannya dengan kita. Kalau kita sampai terpengaruh, berarti kita membiarkan dia mengatur dan mempengaruhi hidup kita. Padahal kitalah yang bertanggung jawab atas diri kita sendiri." Seringkali orang memang terpengaruh oleh sesamanya. Jika mereka baik, kita akan berbuat sebaliknya. Kalau orang-orang menghargai kita, kita akan dengan senang hati menghargai mereka juga. Namun jika orang berlaku buruk, kurang ramah, ketus dalam bicara, tidak sopan, kita pun cenderung melakukan hal yang sama. Tanpa sadar orang jadi ikut-ikutan kesal, tidak terima, dan seterusnya. Bila ini terjadi, berarti kita sudah membiarkan diri dikontrol orang. Mari kita belajar bertanggung jawab atas diri sendiri. Kita bersikap sopan, bukan karena orang layak menerimanya, bukan karena mereka sudah melakukan kebaikan pada kita, akan tetapi kita melakukannya karena kita adalah orang-orang yang baik, santun dan terhormat, yang tetap sopan sekalipun diperlakukan arogan. Pastikan perilaku buruk orang sekitar tidak memengaruhi kualitas kerja dan keberadaan diri kita. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa:Tuhan Yesus, penuhilah aku dengan kuasa Roh-Mu, sehingga walau pun banyak orang mengecewakanku, hatiku tetap tenang karena Engkau telah menguasaiku. Amin. (Dod).

Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Senin, 5 Januari 2026Bacaan: "Setiap orang yang mendengar perkataan-Ku ini dan melakukannya, ia sama dengan orang yang bijaksana, yang mendirikan rumahnya di atas batu. Kemudian turunlah hujan dan datanglah banjir, lalu angin melanda rumah itu, tetapi rumah itu tidak rubuh sebab didirikan di atas batu. " (Matius 7:24-25)Renungan: Ada seorang dosen yang sangat pandai dan hebat dalam mengajar. Karena itu, berbagai universitas sering mengundangnya untuk mengajar. Suatu kali ia diundang mengajar di satu universitas yang ia belum pernah mengajar sebelumnya. Setelah menyelesaikan pekerjaannya, ia diantar sopirnya pergi ke universitas itu. Di tengah perjalanan ia iseng berkata kepada sopirnya, "Sebenarnya hari ini saya lelah sekali. Saya tidak ingin mengajar." Sopirnya berkata, "Bapak tidak usah mengajar sore ini, biar saya saja yang menggantikan Bapak." "Lho, kamu bisa gantiin saya?" tanya dosen tersebut. "Iya Pak. Saya kan sudah mengantar Bapak puluhan kali dan Bapak mengajar yang itu-itu juga, jadi saya sudah hafal Pak. Saya pasti bisa. Lagipula universitas itu belum tahu bagaimana wajah Bapak, jadi tidak perlu khawatir, Pak!" jawab sopir itu dengan yakinnya. Akhirnya dosen itu pun setuju. Lalu mereka bertukar tempat, dosen menyetir mobil dan sopir duduk di belakang layaknya seorang dosen. Tiba di universitas tersebut, sopir yang berlagak seperti dosen itu masuk kelas dan langsung mengajar. Sedangkan dosen yang asli mendengar dan melihat dari luar apa yang diajarkan oleh sopir itu. Dan ternyata, dengan mendengar puluhan kali saja, sopir itu betul-betul bisa mengajar persis dari A sampai Z. Namun di akhir perkuliahan timbul masalah, yaitu ketika sampai di sesi tanya jawab. Seorang mahasiswa bertanya, "Pak, bagaimana menerapkan apa yang Bapak ajarkan itu ke dalam kehidupan sehari-hari?" Sopir itu bingung karena ia tidak bisa menjawab. Tetapi ia tidak habis akal. "Wah, ini pertanyaan yang sangat mudah. Saking mudahnya sopir saya saja bisa menjawabnya!" Lalu ia memanggil "sopirnya". Akhirnya "sopirnya" itu dengan mudah menjawab pertanyaan tersebut dan pertanyaan-pertanyaan yang lainnya. Seperti sopir itu, orang bisa memiliki banyak pengetahuan tanpa tahu mempraktikkannya. Sebagai anak-anak Tuhan kita bisa juga seperti sopir ini yang tahu banyak kebenaran firman Tuhan, tetapi berhenti hanya sampai di pengetahuan saja, tanpa mempraktikkannya. Yesus berfirman, "Setiap orang yang mendengar perkataanku ini dan melakukannya, ia sama dengan orang yang bijaksana, yang mendirikan rumahnya di atas batu. Kemudian turunlah hujan dan datanglah banjir, lalu angin melanda rumah itu, tetapi rumah itu tidak rubuh sebab didirikan di atas batu." Perkataan ini diberikan oleh Yesus sebagai penutup dari khotbah di bukit. Oleh karena itu, mari kita menjadi orang yang bijaksana, yakni orang yang setelah mendengarkan firman Tuhan kemudian menjadi pelaku dari firman tersebut. Jauhkan diri dari menjadi orang bodoh, yang hanya mendengar tanpa mau melakukan. Keputusan ada di tangan kita masing-masing, mau menjadi orang bijak atau orang bodoh. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa:Tuhan Yesus, aku ingin menjadi orang yang bijaksana, dengan menjadi pelaku dari setiap firman Tuhan yang aku dengar setiap hari. Amin. (Dod).

Today's episode dives into exonerating or at least complicating evidence that casts serious doubt on Oswald's guilt in the Tippit shooting. Why could witnesses not agree what the killer of JD Tippit was wearing. Were there witnesses that saw more than one gunman at the Tippit shooting? Why has maybe the most important witness to the JD shooting disappeared? What do the story of the shells found at the scene tell us? Automatic shells were found at the scene but guess what, LHO did not own an automatic pistol and one was not found on him at the time of his arrest.

(Mazmur 90:17)Renungan: Seorang kulit putih berkeinginan mengajarkan kepada seorang anak pribumi Kepulauan Solomon tentang cara berjudi. "Saya tidak mempunyai tangan, tuan," kata anak kecil itu. "Lho, bukankah kamu memiliki sepasang tangan?" tanya orang Eropa itu dengan keheranan. "Ya, benar," ujar anak itu, " tetapi tangan ini bukan milik saya. Tangan ini milik Yesus." Ada begitu banyak pekerjaan Tuhan di dunia ini yang belum terselesaikan, dan Dia membutuhkan tangan-tangan kita untuk membantu menyelesaikannya. Tapi terkadang kita tidak menyadari bahwa ke dua tangan kita adalah tangan berkat yang harus disalurkan untuk membantu pekerjaan Tuhan, sehingga banyak yang terjadi tangan-tangan tersebut disalah gunakan untuk pekerjaan yang sia-sia di mata Tuhan. Berjudi, korupsi, membunuh, memukul yang lemah dan sebagainya. Tuhan tidak punya tangan lagi di dunia, dan saat ini Dia butuh tangan kita menjadi kepanjangan tangan-Nya untuk memberikan mujizat bagi hibup orang lain. Perhatikanlah, apakah orang-orang di sekitar kita membutuhkan uluran tangan kita? Untuk merangkul pasangan yang sedang punya banyak masalah, untuk bertepuk tangan ketika anak kita meraih kesuksesan, untuk memeluk anak kita ketika dia ketakutan karena tidak bisa memenuhi target orang tua untuk memeroleh nilai tinggi. Untuk memapah dan menuntun tangan orangtua kita yang sudah susah untuk berjalan. Untuk mengajari pembantu ketika mereka salah dalam bekerja. Untuk menggengam tangan sahabat yang sedang bermasalah. Untuk menengadah di hadapan Tuhan ketika orang yang kita kasihi membutuhkan doa kita. Untuk berbagi pada saudara-saudara kita yang membutuhkan pertolongan. Maukah tangan kita dipakai Tuhan menjadi kepanjangan tangan Tuhan? Tuhan Yesus memberkati.Doa:Tuhan Yesus, terima kasih atas sepasang tangan yang Kau berikan padaku Berkati tangan-tanganku ini agar bisa menjadi saluran berkat bagi banyak orang. Kuduskan tanganku saat ini ya Yesus, agar kalau hari ini ada orang lain yang membutuhkan pertolonganku, aku mampu mengulurkan tanganku sehingga menjadi mujizat yang dapat mengubah hidup orang lain. Yesus, jadikan tanganku seperti tangan-Mu sendiri. Amin. (Dod)

The Commission hearing on April 1st featured the spectacular panel with Oliver Stone, Jim DiEugenio & Jefferson Morley. Len reflects how in the past, people have had their hopes dashed with the controlled investigations of the HSCA, ARRB etc.. Sadly, the heads of these government committees believe that LHO was the lone assassin, no need to really investigate. Andrew explains that some people have been critical of the Luna Task Force to date. Andrew feels things could be worse. People are tired of the Lone Assassin cover story!
