Send us a textWhat if faith in Jesus could transform your everyday routines and responsibilities? This episode of the Redeeming the Dirt podcast challenges you to rethink how your Christian beliefs can permeate all aspects of life, especially in agriculture. Join me, Noah Sanders, as we unpack the concept of missional stewardship—where faith meets practical living. Discover how the biblical call to stewardship and discipleship can not only redeem our relationship with Creation but also reflect a life of surrender and purpose that glorifies God.Explore how living as a missional steward isn't just about rule-following; it's an invitation to embody faith in daily actions. From the Apostle Paul's example of a quiet, productive life to practical initiatives like Foundations for Farming, Farming God's Way, and Equipping Farmers International, we illustrate how faithfulness in the ordinary things of life can lead to extraordinary impacts. Learn how these approaches empower individuals to reduce poverty and dependency while showcasing a heart grounded in God's wisdom rather than man's.We'll also discuss the power of integrating faith with farming, creating missional opportunities for discipleship in community development. Resources like the Well-Watered Garden Handbook and Redeeming the Dirt Academy offer practical guidance for those eager to engage in faith-based outreach. Whether you're cultivating a garden or a relationship, this episode encourages you to embrace your role in spreading God's kingdom, using your gifts purposefully to make a lasting impact.Support the show

In a time when socialism is gaining more support the idea of private property, even in the church, can tend to be viewed as selfish and unnecessary. Does God care about private property? As Christian farmers how should we view ownership of the land? Shouldn't we just have everything in common? In this important episode Noah Sanders interviews Ben Freeth about his experience standing up for property rights in a country where they were violently stripped away. They discuss the bibical basis for private property and share practical application tips for homesteaders and farmers. Note to Parents from Noah: I just want to make you aware that in this very personal interview Ben shares some of his experiences of being tortured for his convictions. All my young children listened to him share his story but you may want to use discretion with your own kids. Support the show: https://redeemingthedirt.com/support/Support the show

Does the Bible speak toward how Christian Farmers are supposed to do agriculture? In his book, "Born-Again Dirt," Noah Sanders argues the answer to that question is a resounding “Yes!” In this episode, Tim reviews Noah's book pointing to the biblical methods, the biblical manner, and the biblical motive that are necessary layers to cultivating a biblical vision for God-glorifying agriculture. One of the most influential group of people in my life have been those from Foundations for Farming, formerly known as Farming God's Way*, a farming ministry based out of Zimbabwe. I have been blessed to obtain permission to share with you some of the episodes from a radio series they did several years back that originally aired on Trans World Radio. I hope you are challenged and encouraged! If you would like to support what Foundations for Farming is doing in Zimbabwe to help the poor, check out I Was Hungry, a partnership with Crown Financial Ministries where they conduct a program to disciple 30 people from a community for 2 weeks in faith, farming, finance, and family. My family and I support this ministry each month and encourage you to consider doing so as a great way to support a real solution to hunger. If you would like to learn more about some of the techniques that Foundations for Farming teaches we have some training videos available at Redeeming the Dirt Academy.(*For clarification some of the original Farming God's Way team continues to do amazing work under the old name and operate independently from the Foundations for Farming team. The North Dakota State culture shined this week as Coach Entz named Trey Lance the starting QB. The other two QBs, Zeb Noland and Noah Sanders, rallied around No. 5, pledging their support. It's all systems go, and all about the team, as the Bison prepare for the Butler game at Target Field. The team's reaction, and buy-in, is a big reason why NDSU was ranked by ESPN Stats & Information as one of the Top 10 best programs in the 150-year history of College Football. The guys talk about what that means. Swany and Nolan make a big announcement about the Podcast broadcasting from Kieran's Irish Pub in downtown Minneapolis near Target Center on Friday afternoon August 30. Swany shares some big news about Herd It Hear With Swany and The Thundering Herdcast on 740AM The Fan. More news than you can fit into a tweet, this week, on the Bison Illustrated Podcast!
Welcome to the Thundering Herdcast with Swany, a podcast dedicated to one thing, and one thing only - the THUNDERING HERD! My pledge to you is this: if it doesn't have to do with the Bison, you won't find it on this show. I know that you're listening to hear about North Dakota State, and we'll do our best to make sure that you're entertained and informed. After all, we share one very big thing in common - that's our passion for NDSU and the Bison! The top-ranked, undisputed heavyweight champs of the FCS, and one of the best stories in all of college football, are gearing up for the season opener at Target Field on August 31 . In our inaugural episode, we talk about the quarterback situation with Associate Head Coach/Passing Game Coordinator/QBs Coach, Randy Hedberg. Coach Hedberg answers questions about playing QB in the Bison offense, the mental acuity needed for the position, and, of course, the guys in the room, Trey Lance, Zeb Noland, and Noah Sanders. I also tell you why the Bison offense in August will not be the same offense in November. So sit back, relax, and enjoy Bison talk from a guy that went to games at Dacotah Field, was a ballboy for Rocky Hager and Bob Babich, has been a season ticket holder since the Dome opened in '93, covered the team for The Spectrum and now the Bison Illustrated, and, maybe most importantly, tips a few back with you every fall in the west tailgating lots. And make sure to tune in for the second season of Herd It Hear with Swany every Saturday morning from 8:00-9:00a on 740 The Fan starting August 24. Everybody up for the kickoff, the march is on!
The Bible isn't a typical "How to Farm" book, so if we believe in the truths of the Bible, how does this impact our view of agriculture? What matters is focusing on what makes your farm unique More shownotes at https://intellectualagrarian.com/sanders2 Connect With Noah
In episode 29 we interviewed Noah Sanders from Rora Valley Farms, and author of Born Again Dirt. In the interview he shared what I now consider as one of my favorite saying, “Resources come from right relationships.” The context of the conversation was discussing taking care of your customers and the importance of the people in your daily life. Not only is it a phrase that eloquently passes off the tongue, but it’s an insightful look at how the world truly works and a powerful mindset for those who apply it.
2018 Guild teacher and author of Born Again Dirt, Noah Sanders, talks with Mark about the four principles of work and life: 1. Do things on time. 2. Do things with a high level of excellence. 3. Have minimal waste. 4. Do it with joy. Noah Sanders will be teaching at the 2018 Lamplighter Guild hosted at the Lamplighter headquarters in Mount Morris, NY. The act of farming frequently requires faith to see it through, our guest today is Noah Sanders, author of Born Again Dirt: Farming To The Glory of God.
