I'm thrilled to FINALLY welcome my friend Paddy Keyes onto Léim Thart with his brilliant debut EP 'Over & Over'. After several years of releasing indie-pop bangers, the Sligo-native, Dublin-based artist has shared his first body of work with the world. We got to dive into the journey so far, some track details, and what to expect this year!Keyes explores past experiences of various relationships in his youth throughout the EP. In the title track ‘Over & Over', Keyes shares his frustrations of working a part time job, while in ‘Not Ready To Love You', he sends a voice message to a former partner expressing his true feelings. Each song has a message to someone in the past from Keyes' current perspective, followng a very strong 2024 for the 23-year-old, selling out his headline show in Whelan's Upstairs in November, securing support slots across the UK and Ireland for the likes of Good Neighbours, Post-Party and Holler, as well as taking the stage at Sea Sessions Surf & Music Festival in June.Play this episode on YouTube HEREFollow Ruairí Egan / Léim Thart HERE

JESUS IS CRAZY! ...by definition, a crazy person will do the same thing OVER & OVER expecting different results. And Jesus had no problem associating himself with the likes of King David, a sinner, adulterer & murderer. Or even with Moses whom disobeyed God & had a temper. The bible mentions how JOB was righteous & even he was criticized by the people of his time. So you can say JESUS is CRAZY, but crazy for your repentance, your renewal, your restoration,. And he will forgive & pick you up OVER & OVER because Grace is NOT a license to sin, but it is a license to GROW! So Grow with us as Pastor Sergio de la Mora & Pastor Samuel Rodriguez from New Season Church reveal how only GOD can rewind the clock & restore even the time we have lost. Join us on the Road to Restoration.

Recyclable cups are getting like that now, as events organisers the nation over FINALLY have some guidance on events for late summer. Good luck guys. Moose and Dews also chat about many, many other topics, such as the Inkubus, the revamped website, and Dewsbury's new tattoo, featuring one of the coolest things ever (which you'll need to see the video to appreciate tbh!) The video podcast is available via the Primordial Twitch channel here https://www.twitch.tv/primordialradio At Primordial Radio we talk a lot about mental health, and the importance of looking after not just your own, but that of your friends. With Dews being off at the moment, Moose decided to check in on him, and found he has some surprising good news! There's also a sneak peak of the new Primordial Radio logo, which you will not see, as this is a podcast. You'd need to check out Twitch for that, obvs. If like us you're sick of being treated as a revenue stream instead of an actual person, and sick of the the same songs on repeat OVER & OVER then come join the evolution of rock & metal radio for FREE for 30 days @ http://primordialradio.com

The video podcast is available via the Primordial Twitch channel here https://www.twitch.tv/primordialradio Loads for the guys to talk about this week, so it comes as no surprise that Phil & Kirstie's "Location, Location, Location" comes up sooner rather than later. Of course. In between property porn shows, Moose and Dews reminisce about soggy Download festivals in the past, and look forward to the upcoming Download Pilot, including arrangements for the traditional PRFam picture. They also pay tribute to the team and PRFam members who have helped Primordial Radio get this far. There's also the audio of Dews taking a Covid test on-air, if you're a glutton for punishment. The video podcast is available via the Primordial Twitch channel here https://www.twitch.tv/primordialradio Aside from the obvious dentist-related dad joke, Moose and Dews have a lot to talk about this week. From the upcoming Download Pilot, to the "glass coffee table" conversation (how do you even broach that subject anyway?) and from merch stuff to the Inkubus. They were also very excited at the prospect of being able to actually meet up soon! Welcome back to our regular stroll down the path of silliness, and through the fields of knobheadery (while hopefully avoiding the dog-egg of plaigiarism) that is the Lost In Porridge Plaguecast, brought to you by Primordial Radio. Formed from the daily episodes of the most exciting broadcasting since Dirty Den had an unfortunate coming together with a daffodil, this plaguecast is a collection of this weeks adventures in utter bullshittery. Our intrepid guide is none other than Dr Cornelius Porridge; part gentleman adventurer, part steampunk stand-up, part-time matador. Once he grabs the bull by the horns, the only place he's likely to lead it is straight into the nearest china shop. Mess will likely ensue. Last week, we left our heroes - Porridge, his cybernetic badger accomplice Colon, and the ever-homicidal Pirate Captain Bonney - in the midst of a quest to find mythical beasts across the galaxy. Having arrived at Planet Stirling - a planet seemingly populated by emigrants from that Scottish city - our heroes had discovered an entire family of Loch Ness Monsters was being kept in less-than-optimal conditions. Of course this was a wrong in desperate need of righting. Remember, Buckfast gets you fffffflipping drunk very quickly. Onwards, to adventure! The video podcast is available via the Primordial Twitch channel here https://www.twitch.tv/primordialradio *TW: Mental health/fertility issues* Things get heavy this week, as Dews has recently had some bad news that he and Moose discuss on the podcast. Appropriately enough, this comes during Mental Health Awareness Week. It's not all serious as there's plenty of other things to discuss this week, including the upcoming Call of Duty tournament, the upcoming virtual AGM, the ACTUAL AGM, the latest from Haul of Fame Competitions, and the big reveal of the winning name for the Primordial gin! Welcome to our regular step onto the rake of absurdity that is the Lost In Porridge Plaguecast, brought to you by Primordial Radio. Formed from the daily episodes of the most riveting broadcasting since Fred Dibnah almost had a chimney fall on him, this plaguecast is a collection of this weeks adventures in utter bullshittery. Last week, we left our heroes - Porridge, his cybernetic badger accomplice Colon, and the ever-homicidal Pirate Captain Bonney - in the midst of a farcical quest across the galaxy, in search of various mythical beasties. Porridge himself will hopefully explain. Onwards, to adventure! And confusion. Half-drowning in mud isn't fun at the time, but it sure does look good in hindsight, right? They also chat business, with news of the upcoming virtual AGM, a name for the soon-to-be-produced Primordial gin, and discussion of the latest developments in the world of radio. Welcome back to this, our journey down the bifurcated legs of the trousers of time that is the Lost In Porridge Plaguecast. Formed from the daily episodes of the most pant-soilingly exciting broadcasting since "that bloke on Bridgerton" this plaguecast is a collection of this weeks adventures in outrageously fictional yarn-spinning Our intrepid guide is none other than Dr Cornelius Porridge; part gentleman adventurer, part steampunk stand-up, part-time used furniture physicist. Weird. Last week, we left our heroes embroiled in a complete lack of terrible peril! They had achieved their aim and - quite frankly - were wondering what to do for the rest of season 2 when they received a message from their crewmate - Pirate Captain Bonney - calling for their aid. What great adventure will happen next? Will our heroes survive? Will they make it to season 3 without jumping the shark? Unlikely. Listen on and - possibly - find out! Welcome back to this, our journey through time, space, and indeed good sense that is the Lost In Porridge Plaguecast, brought to you by Primordial Radio. Formed from the daily episodes of the most spellbinding, trouser-moisteningly exciting broadcasting since Charlie Dimmock decided to wear a low-cut top while fettling her begonias, this plaguecast is a collection of this weeks adventures in outrageous fibbing. Our intrepid guide is none other than Dr Cornelius Porridge; part gentleman adventurer, part steampunk stand up, part-time nude life model, Porridge has been complimented on the way he can truly bring to life the melancholic horror of one's own mortality using nothing more than a strategically-placed sombrero. Happy Holidays, everyone! Wynter and Karen are joined by special guest panelists Tre’Vell Anderson (Director of Culture and Entertainment at Out Magazine) and 'Who Shot Ya?'s' Alonso Duralde to create the ultimate holiday playlist. Each panelist created a top ten list of their favorite holiday songs, out of which they’d select twenty for inclusion in the official Pop Rocket Holiday Playlist. Well, that was the plan, anyway. In practice, when faced with making the tough choices, they flopped. Whose version of "Sleigh Ride" should be on the playlist: Andy Williams’s, Ella Fitzgerald’s or TLC’s? Spoiler alert: They couldn’t decide. Plus, the panelists describe their holiday family traditions, and if you’ve ever been curious what the most popular Philippine Christmas song is, resident scholar Karen Tongson reveals the answer. From Ella Fitzgerald to Donny Hathaway, from the Morehouse Glee Club to Quad City DJs, the variety of musical stylings in this episode will get your feet tappin'. All Abouts For the last All Abouts of the year, each panelist picked one thing in 2018, that they could watch, listen to, read, or consume, OVER & OVER again. Alonso is all about the Amber Ruffin segment on Late Night With Seth Meyers - 'Amber Says Why' Karen is still all about the series finale of The Americans. Tre’Vell is awed by EVERYTHING about Cardi B, but especially her recent appearance with James Corden in Carpool Karaoke. Wynter can’t stop watching Mission Impossible: Fallout. That's My Jam For this week’s jams, each panelist picked a song that best summed up the year that was 2018. Karen: Sound of Music Soundtrack - So Long, Farewell Tre’vell: Fantasia - Lose to Win Alonso: Lizzo - Good as Hell Wynter: Drake - Nice for What Did you know that you can now call and leave voicemails for the show? You can! If you want to comment on an episode, give us any feedback, or just call to get advice from a panel member, the number is: (530) 237-4108 You can let us know what you think of Pop Rocket and suggest topics in our Facebook group or via @PopRocket on Twitter. Ok, it might not be Moose's love eggs you can hear in the background. It could just possibly be one of his neighbours doing some work in the garden. Maybe. You'll think it's love eggs any time you hear it now though, right? This week Moose is joined by Positive Pete Bailey to discuss the future, and some of the ace things it has in store for Primordial, like the #PRFam meet-up in Crewe, our impromptu birthday beers and our Halloween event. There's even mention of the initial plans for The Long Road to Brewin' 3! There's so much to look forward to in the future, and we seem to be on track to get there successfully. We're thrilled to have Canadian funny man Scott Thompson stop by for a chat this week. You know him best as a part of the comedy troupe The Kids In the Hall and together with Kevin McDonald, Scott is currently on tour with a brand new two-man, stand-up/sketch version of their unique brand of humor called, Two Kids, One Hall. They're stopping by the Arlington, Virginia Cinema & Draft House August 19 & 20, and have dates scheduled all over the country through the fall. Scott tells us why Canadians have exported so many funny people, why he's obsessed with fruit, who he finds funny (including frequent Swish guest Margaret Cho!), and how he shares a name with American comedian Carrot Top! He also tells us about his a passion project, his Danny Husk graphic novel (including a bi-sexual king and human/non-human sex, of course). The show is really excited to be bringing you guys new music almost every single week...and this one is no different. geO Louis is a young hottie singer/songwriter/performer out of the NYC and we not only chat with him for a few minutes about his sound but we have two of his poppy dance tracks, Work and Over & Over. (And...um...you need to scroll all the way to the bottom of this page to see a picture we found of geO we kinda dig.) And with special in-studio guest host Eboné Bell--one of our favorite lesbians, she of B.O.I. Marketing & the Capital Queer Prom--the kids team up and play Jason's version of "Password." Eboné's girlfriend Angel helps with the words and let's just say that comedy ensues. This game is certainly going to make it into rotation; it's a hoot. ALSO ON THIS EPISODE... Scott thinks a listener needs to establish a Wikipedia page for the Swish Edition; We think the Bert & Ernie marriage petition is not helping our cause; We discuss podcaster/comedian Adam Corolla's recent anti-gay (or was it comedy?) rant; The Salahi's of White House crasher fame get dissed by Bravo yet again; Singer Adam Levine has solidified his place as a new gay hero; HBO's True Blood has been renewed for a fifth season; We're late with this, but apparently Black Spark revealed his real name; It's our very last show before Camp 2011; and, Dale has a BRAND NEW nickname! Episode 147 is called, "The Password."
