This episode, with Layla Martin, addresses the sad state of affairs that is people's sex lives in the U.S. A majority of people only have access to porn or the repugnant sex education classes offered by a sexually-repressed, puritanical government-run education system. Layla studied tantric sex in Asia and believes relationships, creative endeavors, and everyday life can be improved by engaging in erotic, satisfying and empowering sex. She has dedicated her life to liberating those who want to integrate a better sex life into their overall well-being. “Your earliest imprinting around sexuality stays with you.” @thelaylamartin   “I want to know if it is possible to make passionate love to someone you've been with for 5, 10, or 20 years.” @thelaylamartin   “If you don't feel like you are where you want to be, sexually, it is something that you can actively ... improve.” @Rich20Something~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ⌛Timestamps⌛ (03:42) Stanford's Sexuality classes offered no hands-on learning so Layla went to Asia. Daniel shares his journey from working in a restaurant to being a creative entrepreneur and author. He explains that courage is a muscle that you can strengthen by trying new things. Doing things outside of your comfort zone will help you to develop confidence in yourself and you can use the confidence inside to push forward to new goals. Daniel leaves listeners with the advice, “The way you start is by taking your time back and deciding what is important to you. Have a non-negotiable hour for yourself daily. Start with meditation. It’s forced self-reflection. As you develop the ability to do nothing, you’ll have clarity.” Get the full show notes on the Under30Experiences Blog.

Daniel DiPiazza comes on the show for a fun chat about topics ranging from brain health, to becoming a best-selling author.  We talk about my latest exploration in optimal brain wave states, meditation, and neurofeedback.  Matt goes on a rant about eating enough fats, veganism, and Daniel talks about the high price of living in Los Angeles, why he decided to drive a Mercedes Benz, and why he wants to move to Barcelona. Daniel drop some sage knowledge from Alan Watts and how to be comfortable with who you are versus doing things simply because you want to be better than other people.  Do things for you and nobody else. Matt and Daniel also talk about how it’s way better to have a small group of dedicated customers instead of a big following on social media.

What it’s about Millennials are constantly in the news these days. One day they’re spending too much money on avocado toast, the next they’re not spending enough on dryer sheets and “ruining” the laundry soap industry. The 21st century can be a harsh world for millennials, but Daniel DiPiazza has figured out some key steps to starting and growing an online business you and others will care about. His company, Rich20Something, provides tools and courses that teach millennials (and millennials at heart) how to thrive in a seemingly broken system where it’s hard to get ahead financially and make an impact. In this interview, Daniel talks about the important skills you can gain from freelancing, why everyone needs a creative outlet, and why you should build your own platform.

Daniel DiPiazza is a successful, 29-year-old entrepreneur, who has built a massive, cult-like social networking following by advising other 20 and 30-somethings how to escape average jobs and become self-directed entrepreneurs. Daniel’s website and freshly minted book are titled Rich20Something. But this week, in a surprising interview with host and reputation coach Dean Rotbart, Daniel reveals that his advice actually is not aimed exclusively at those born after 1977. Instead, Daniel sees all of us who own or operate businesses in 2017 as being part of the millennial generation – because, he contends, it is the tools, ideas, and philosophies of the millennial generation that are currently disrupting the business world. [Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook) is 33; Evan Spiegel (Snap) is 27; Kevin Systrom (Instagram) is 33; and Brian Chesky (Airbnb) is 35.] “Millennial,” Daniel says, is a frame of mind, not a birthdate. He knew he needed something else. He wanted more than others were able to give him so he decided to start off on his own. His brand sprung up out of frustration. He knew he needed something else. He wanted more than others were able to give him so he decided to start off on his own. His brand sprung up out of frustration. Michael and Daniel spend time talking about the disadvantages of college. College can be one of the quickest ways to set yourself back a few years and get into massive debt. They seem more like zoo’s these days than places of education. Most kids think at the end of their school career, from kindergarden through college, there is going to be some big prize at the end. Usually there is massive debt and an entry level job waiting for you. Time spent in school should be about actual life skills, like how to manage money, rather than long hand algebra that most will never use. School has turned into a huge business that is more predatory rather than innocent. Michael and Daniel finish the podcast breaking apart social media. When you compare technology and distractions in terms of pre and post internet, social media can be seen as a huge distraction. If you embrace social media as a different way to talk, engage, and communicate then it is easier to see it as a tool rather than a hindrance. In this episode of Trend Following Radio: Compounding money early in life Rogue memorization Non-linear networking Getting a side hustle Distraction Ruthless prioritization Social media

At 20 years old, Daniel DiPiazza was comfortable. He wasn't making millions of dollars at his hourly wage job, but he wasn't struggling for money either. Like a lot of people in their early 20s, he just didn't know what he wanted to do. While the life he led was fine, it was a never ending cycle of making enough money to pay the bills, and that was about it. It wasn't exciting, more than anything it was dissatisfying, and after a few years, DiPiazza found himself restless and wanting more out of life. "It got to this point where I showed up at work one day and I was intensely irritated. It wasn't anything specifically that happened that day, it was just a culmination of a few years of doing things that were just ... very annoying. I made a decision that day that I was going to make a change," DiPiazza says. From that point on, it was like a switch had been flipped inside him. Instead of looking at all the things that held him back, DiPiazza began looking for opportunities. If no one was going to give him a job doing what he wanted, the next logical step was to simply find a way to give himself a job where he could follow his passion. It started simply enough, with a little freelancing on the side helping college students prepare for their exams, which soon grew into a self-perpetuating machine that eventually led to owning his own company, Rich20Something. Today DiPiazza is a bestselling author and uses his own experience to inspire others in his generation, teaching them how they too can build their own businesses and start carving that bit of financial freedom and independence for themselves. Not bad for a kid who had no idea what he was doing in his early 20s. In this episode you will learn: The best content marketing tactics to use to promote yourself How to never run out of clients as a freelancer Where to go to start skilling yourself up as an entrepreneur How to come up with and validate your business ideas with a few simple steps Strategies to build up your personal brand and influence & much more!

For any listening who is thinking about starting a business, thinking about doing something on their own because instagram told you to or because you feel like it's going to be easier, just know that you can't have all the good stuff of entrepreneurship without the bad stuff too. It's just not possible. It's just like life. A lot of people are looking at entrepreneurship and saying “I want this result. I want a million dollars. And I'm very ambitious.” The link between those things is entrepreneurship. They're thinking that they have to become entrepreneurs because they want to make money. That's not the only way to make money and it's certainly not the easiest way to make money. You have to be able to do all the stuff that nobody talks about if you want to be an entrepreneur.
