POPULARITY
As a style of clothing that started in the ‘90s and became more and more popular over time, streetwear brings in all sorts of elements from skateboarding to hip hop. Jack and Kev talk about their experience getting into it when younger, SoHo as a central location to see different stores, and how it's now evolved over time – especially following the efforts of (RIP) Virgil Abloh in pushing it to a more luxury and high end space in more recent years. From brands like Stüssy to Aimé Leon Dore, it's not only t-shirt graphics anymore that make it up.

Omnicron vs Omarion ? As the news of a new covid variant has been announced we discuss how, the western media have chopped 'n' screwed the superb diligent south African scientists who first discovered and announced the new variant to the new variant now being dubbed the African variant? At the time of recording more European nations have announced cases of the new variant yet almost all of southern Africa and recently Nigeria with only three cases have been put on the "Red" list! As European leaders continue to show their A** , on the other side if the world the great people of Barbados have decided to cut away from the last remnants of their colonial past and get rid of the Queen of England as their head of state. We discuss how important this is and wether or not this would cause a domino effect across the other carribean islands ! We pay our respects to the ICON, that is Virgil Abloh! We reflect on his monumental rise to the top of the "High" fashion industry and his contributions to streetwear.

Segunda-feira é dia de fazer um apanhado geral de tudo que rolou no final de semana. Neste Domingo (28), perdemos Virgil Abloh. November 28, 2021 Virgil Abloh lost his two year battle with cancer. He was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called cardiac angiosarcoma. He is survived by his wife Shannon and his children Lowe & Grey. He was only 41 years old. In 2012 he founded Pyrex Vision then years later founded Off-White. In 2018, he became the artistic director for menswear at Louis Vuitton. This man has accomplished so much in roughly a decade. You can tell he truly walked in his purpose. He started off as an intern for Fendi in 2009 in Rome, Italy. Virgil Abloh brought Black people to a table that was once off limits. May he forever rest in peace and his name live on. Another person dealing with something so powerful that no one knew about. This is why we must always show respect and compassion... OK, so this is Part 1 of 2. Part 2 will be the album review when I've thrashed the absolute crap out of it. To be honest, making this podcast was real hard . Even listening to this album, absolutely kills me inside because I know this is the last piece of work we'll ever receive from Pop. Rest In Paradise Bashar Jackson aka POP SMOKE ! In this podcast I talk about Virgil Abloh's botched album cover and my thoughts on the situation. The replacement cover and I touch on the album , Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon. I'm personally going to stream this album until Pop Smokes mum is sitting at the Grammy's, woo's with me? #popsmoke #virgilabloh #shootforthestarsaimforthemoon #woo #RIPBASHARJACKSON
