Peaking somewhere between the 1960s and 1980s through the Worldwide Church of God, these movements largely retreated to small scattered groups in diverse locations. With the rise of the internet, many of their ideas are well-circulated and debated through social media. The New Covenant is not a Renewed Covenant Strange things creep in once we leave Babylonian Christianity. Face it, we are vulnerable. When we throw off the errors, it's very easy to go too far. I've done it myself but on different subjects. This message is about the odd concept of a “renewed covenant”. This is language that some in the HRM started using about ten years ago. The problem they were trying to solve is real – the phrase New Covenant is very often misused by lawless Christians. The lawless ones have hitched their doctrines to the phrase “new covenant” to make it seem like Yeshua ended the law. Well, He didn't do that. He changed the law and ushered in the New Covenant. The fact that the lawless ones misuse words and concepts doesn't mean we need to compensate or surrender theological territory. As an attempt to put distance between the proper faith, one of Torah plus Yeshua, some people made some convincing arguments that the New Covenant is really a “renewed Covenant”. This is ridiculous and there is no hint of this language in any of the New Testament. Unfortunately, people convinced themselves of this so much that this language may even show up in Sacred Name bibles, which is remarkably ironic. A movement that started by undoing age-old errors has come full circle, introducing their own new, Hebrew sounding errors. I used to spend a lot of time “playing whack-a-mole” with these strange teachings when our assembly was called Hebrew Roots. I've tried to get away from that because by giving these ideas attention, they tend to grow. Just like how YHVH told Adam to not eat from that tree, and Adam told Eve, the forbidden fruit just looks so tasty. I also don't like addressing these things because, well, people who haven't heard of them are better off. But circumstances have come up that this needs to be addressed. Before proving this through word studies, we do need to take a Romans 1 approach – the helicopter view. This ministry is called First Century Christianity, after all. And that's what we strive to reproduce – the pure faith of the first believers. Paul wrote in Romans 1 that Creation testifies so the people are without excuse. From a helicopter view do we see a new or a renewed covenant with the actions of the Apostles? Did the Apostles mandate circumcision and instruct all the converts in the diaspora to pilgrimage to the Temple? No. They did not do this. The Ruach ha Kodesh made converts of Gentiles and Jews throughout the Roman Empire and to the East who all stayed put. They did something different. They accepted Yeshua as the Messiah and either continued to attend synagogue or started to, depending on the convert, wherever they were. This is not how people converted under the Old Covenant. From a big picture, it's obvious as the nose on our faces the covenant was not a continuation of the Old but something different. We don't need word studies to know this one is false. But some will, so here we go. The danger of the “renewed” covenant is that it starts a fissure. People begin to have dangerous thoughts like “well, there's nothing new in the NT”. This is not true in the least, but that thought leads to the rejection of Paul. Then they reject the Messiah. Then they become pseudo-Jews. You probably know people who have done this. Now, who wants us to reject Yeshua, brothers and sisters? Where does doctrine that separates us from the salvation offered at the cross come from? I think you know.

They actually changed the words of Jesus, aka Yeshua, to things He did not say. They did this to make people believe doctrines of men. What is a sacred name Bible, and is it something you should use? In this sixth installment on the divine name, we’re going to discuss the sacred name movement and its problems, and see how it has muddied the waters for people like me seeking clarity on the issue. It’s time to take another deep dive into the world of Bible translation, and this time into one that isn’t as well-known. This is something I forgot to include in the episode audio: The preface to The Word of Yahweh explains: "The prime objective in producing this new edition of the scriptures was a desire to accurately represent the most sacred names of our Father and His Son. It has been the tradition of most translators to substitute more common, familiar terms such as lord and god, in place of the very names inspired from Yahweh Himself. We believe this is a grave injustice. Not only does this substitution steal from the richness and fullness of the original languages, but probably directly breaks the third commandment we read in Exodus 20:7. The personal name of the Heavenly Father, Yahweh, was inspired into the Hebrew and Aramaic texts of the Old Testament nearly 7000 times. This includes 134 instances where the Masoretic scribes admittedly changed Yahweh to the more common Hebrew adonai. In all instances where Lord, or God was substituted for the Sacred Name in the English text we have properly inserted Yahweh…. Because there is no accurate translation of elohim we have transliterated that title into the English. As for adonai, sovereign or master serves as an adequate translation in most cases.[1]" It should be noted their accusation of breaking the third commandment applies to the NT writers, and nowhere in the preface do they address that issue. They do, however, claim that “In recent years many scholars have proposed that there are Semitic originals underlying the Greek text of much of the New Testament.” They do not substantiate that claim or admit that it is purely speculation and therefore does not ameliorate their grave accusation. They also do not substantiate their use of “Yahweh” as the correct pronunciation of the divine name, nor do they explain why there is no accurate translation of elohim—a claim which is nonsense if no good reason is given. Finally, when reading the entire preface, it seems to be the case that, because they do not believe in the Trinity, they speak of Jesus as distinct from Yahweh. When You Know the Meaning of His Name; You Will Cry out to Him claiming His Help and Protection, His Provision and Direction with Greater Confidence.You Discovered Many Surprising Connections between the Old Testament and New Testament, Revealing God in a Deeper Experience of His Goodness and Love.Hebrew Name for God - Adonai The Hebrew word for Lord is adon, which means the roof, the owner, the master, and the one who's in charge. So Adon is the Name of God As Lord of the Universe. He is the Owner, Master of All His Creation.When You Add a Small Mark at the End of the Word, Now Is the Name of God – Adonai. The difference is Adon mains Lord, like in the LORD God of Israel (e.g., Exodus 34:23). God is called the "Lord of lords"(Deuteronomy 10:17) and Psalm 8:1 that mentions God as "YHVH our Lord." In the Old Testament the First Use Is in Genesis 15:2.But the Name of God – Adonai means “my Lord”, which is God's Specific and Sacred Name. So Every Time You Utter the Name Adonai you are saying “my Lord”. This means that the only way you can know God is to know him personally, to know Him as your personal God.Adonai is not just the plural of Adon, meaning "Lord, Lord, LORD, master, or owner" the one One Who Rules, but also The One Who rules over me and you. Adonia is a Name That Implies Relationship. For the word Adon can mean "lord" or "father". So Adonia means not only "my Lord", but Also "my Father." Adonia is One in charge of your life. Him Whom you submit your life, your will and your heart. When you call God by the Name Adonia – "my Lord" or "my Father” it means you follow what He in-births in you, His Divine Persuasion and follow His Direction, purpose and plan, above your own.And yet there is more to Adonia, to say "my Lord" in Hebrew, is Adoni with and I at the end of the Name. However, God says his name is Adonia, with an a.What is the difference? Literally to say Adonia is to say: "My Lords" within a at the end of Lords. The Name Adonia is so Great That the Name Itself Cannot Contain It. So Adonia means "My Lords". The One you follow and Submit to with all your heart, and soul. The Significance and Glory of Adonia is this: My Lord Is so Amazing, that saying this Name for God Includes All the Godhead – God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit. – My Lords (plural).When you say the Name Adonia, it cannot even begin to describe Who He is.So let your heart learn the true meaning of this Name for God. Then live in the light of it.So pray to Adonia "My Father", Tell Him You Want to Surrender Every Aspect of Your Life to Him. Then Ask Him to Make His Grace Abound toward You to Become the child, he chose you to be in Christ Jesus. Do we dishonor Yahweh by calling him certain English titles?

One argument I've often heard used in favor of using a circumlocution for the name of Yahweh is that Yeshua the Messiah followed the Jewish tradition of not speaking the Divine Name. If Yeshua did not speak the Name why should we have to?

Did anyone before the time of Moses' encounter at the burning bush know the name of Yahweh? Why did Moses ask the Most High His name in Exodus 3:10-13 if he already knew His name? Didn't Yahweh say that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did not know His name?

If we are to use the Creator's name then how are we to pronounce this name? Does anyone even know how to say the four letters YHWH? Many people feel that we cannot know and therefore should not attempt to use this name.

We know that it is an Orthodox Jewish tradition to not use the divine name, but where does this tradition come from? Is this a wholesome, righteous tradition that we should follow. The origin of the command to not speak the name of the heavenly Father.

When one recognizes where the four-lettered name of God belongs in the text of Scripture, all they must do is re-read Scripture with the Creators name inserted where it belongs. This will, by itself, show forth the importance of the name of Yahweh.

Yeshua teaches us to hallow the Father's name, but what exactly is the Father's name? Listen to learn in simplicity how to know what our Creator's name really is. Many translations of the Bible have opted to remove His name from His book.
