Matt dives into speculative building and budgeting with Tim and Bryan Uhler of Pioneer Builders. Pioneer Builders, founded in 1978 by Tim and Bryan's parents, has built a reputation for efficient and high-quality speculative homes in Seattle, Washington. The Uhler brothers explain that speculative building involves constructing homes without a committed buyer, which requires smart land purchases and thorough feasibility studies to ensure profitability. The Uhlers emphasize the importance of buying land at a low price to maximize profit and avoiding emotional decisions, making informed, data-driven choices instead. Efficient building practices are crucial, and Tim highlights the benefits of self-performing labor tasks such as framing and concrete work to control costs. Investing in productivity-enhancing tools is essential for efficient operations, and when it comes to material choices, the Uhlers recommend selecting materials that balance cost and performance.Clear, simple communication with clients is also vital to justify costs, according to Bryan. Educating clients on the long-term benefits of quality construction can help differentiate their homes from competitors. This episode offers valuable advice for builders on managing costs, making informed material choices, and effectively communicating value to clients.Find Bryan & Tim on the Web:Instagram: @pioneerbuilders & @awesomeframersFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/pioneerbuildersWebsite: https://pioneerbuildersonline.com/profile/Find Matt and The Build Show on the web:Build Show Videos: https://buildshownetwork.com/go/mattrisingerInstagram: @risingerbuild and @thebuildshowTikTok: @thebuildshowYouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@buildshowWebsite: https://risingerbuild.com/ and https://buildshownetwork.com/Join us at Build Show LIVE this November 7-9 in Austin, TX. Send me a DM! ILY All!Today I'm honored to have back on - our feature presenter for our Tuesday Night weekly podcast event: Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Licensed Professional Counselor, Founder of Survivor Support and Church Protect, Podcast host of own podcast and YouTube channels @JonKUhlerLPC and @UnMaskingTheTransMovement father of 3, husband to his high school sweetheart, survivor advocate, professional knapsack remover, whistleblower, and someone we are lucky to have on the battlefield with us: Jon UhlerIn case you are new here or missed Jon's briefing on his background on the first episode we did together, here is a short recap of Jon's many accolades and credentials: Jon's work began over 30 years ago and his education includes attending Epic Bible College, Biola University, Talbot School of Theology, and California State University and Fullerton. He's worked in both clinical and administrative capacities, outpatient and hospital settings, intensive day treatment settings, residential treatment programs, and in secure (locked) facilities - including over 11 years on Psychology Staff within the Pennsylvania Dept. of Corrections where he's logged more clinical contact hours within Solitary Confinement than any Psych Staff in the entire US. Prior to his work with incarcerated men, he spent years working with sexual abuse survivors, and treating Severely Emotionally Disturbed adolescents in group homes and within the largest intensive psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for troubled youth west of the Mississippi. If you've been following along each week with Jon as our resident therapist here on Tuesday night's on ‘The Imagination' Podcast, you know he has been taking us on a journey of healing, awareness and education based off his experiences working in solitary confinement with the most deviant of predators as well as his time working with survivors of extreme trauma. We, the listener, get first-hand insights into both sides of the abuse spectrum as well as an informative course of action towards getting therapy and knowing what to expect from your therapist. Jon's lessons and teachings each week are helping to paint the foundation needed for survivors to get real help. Unfortunately, there is a lack of trauma-informed professionals in both the therapeutic community as well as in the church, and Jon's work is helping to bridge the gap between the professional and the survivor. Each week on Tuesday, it's like we've been getting to sit in on free group therapy sessions with Jon. His background working in solitary confinement with the world's most sexual deviants and predators coupled with his work in therapy working with the most extreme trauma survivors has been extremely valuable as it's helping to re-educate us on what trauma is, what causes it, and - most importantly - how we can heal from it. Jon has covered a variety of topics week-after-week that build on each other including guilt and shame, systems and parts, sexual deviants and psychopathy, triggers, dissociation, what to expect from your therapist, what your therapist expects from you, journal prompts, and so much more. I have a playlist on my channel with all of Jon's videos and I highly suggest you all go through and listen to every episode. Jon is helping all of us heal our own inner child and is helping us sort through all of the - in his words - boulders and knapsacks we've picked up and been handed along our journey and way. And nothing is more liberating than taking weight off our shoulders that isn't ours to carry. And if you've been following along, I can guarantee you are already beginning to feel lighter! It's extremely empowering to give our shame back to who and where it belongs, and with Jon leading the way, I have hope that all the shame in the world will one day be lifted off the shoulders of the wounded and placed back on the soul footprint of every predator who dared to harm one of our little ones. Jon is a hero and a pioneer in his field and I ask that you all put down whatever you're doing and give Jon your full attention and respect as we all dive into another episode of education and group healing!Support the Show.
Jon K. Uhler joins us for the first time to take a deeper look at psychopathy than you even thought possible. Jon is a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, & a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider. His professional experience spans over 30 years working with survivors of sexual trauma as well as working in prison with sexual abuse offenders. He oversaw treatment of a High Intensity prison sex offender treatment unit for Sexually Violent Predators, and oversaw treatment in a prison mental health housing unit and outpatient general population dual diagnosis treatment. This perspective has allowed Jon to see the truth from many angles. Including direct testimony of survivors, the accounts of incarcerated offenders, as well as the court documents of the offenders he worked with. Jon has found that psychopathy is directly related to sexual deviancy. Knowing what kind of pornography an offender is aroused by gives us a view of how far along they are on the slippery slope towards psychopathy. Psychopathy requires a repeated negation of morality. This intentional separation from our conscience takes practice. Pornography has a similar mental decision as viewers watch women groomed & abused on camera while they pleasure themselves. Receiving a dopamine reward as pain & humiliation are inflicted on the women and children in the videos. All offending pedophiles take pictures & videos of the rape of children. The more deviant the psychopath, the more brutal the pornography they consume. Jon has mapped this on a graph for us to see the detailed precision these correlations have. This is very important information for anyone seeking to really understand the mind of a psychopath. There's so much information to cover, Jon has agreed to continue this conversation in the future. Last week, Jon continued our deep dive journey into the systems and parts chart where we dove into the next layers of programming within a survivor's system and the related parts to that layer using Jon's experience working with DID survivors as well as the IFS model Jon refers to often in our show, and today we are going to be continuing our journey into ‘what to expect in therapy and with your therapist' if you are a survivor. Jon's work is groundbreaking as he is able to educate us on both ends of the abuse spectrum with both his decades of working with survivors in a therapeutic setting as well as his work in solitary confinement working with some of the world's most dangerous predators and sexual deviants. Both ends of the spectrum truly make Jon an authority in his field and in this community and I couldn't be more grateful and honored to get to share his decades of research with all of you. On one hand, he has decades of experience working with the most deviant of all criminals in solitary confinement and on the other hand, he has been working for decades therapeutically with the most wounded of victims and survivors of abuse. Our series has bounced around from understanding a survivor's systems and parts all the way to getting inside the head of violent and sexual predators and perpetraitors and understanding the psychology of psychopathy as well as of trauma-informed therapy.CONNECT WITH JON:YouTube: Jon Uhler - YouTube & UnMaskingTheTransMovement - YouTubeWebsites:-Home | survivorsupport-WELCOME TO - Unmasking The Trans MovementUnmasking The Trans Movement | Revealing the Truth. On the opposite end, Jon has also simultaneously been going through a chart explaining the parts that make up a survivor's system and it's been an incredible balance of getting insights into both sides of the abuse spectrum. In order for us to evolve as a society, we have to be willing to get uncomfortable and talk about these uncomfortable topics. We have been deprived in our education of being informed about trauma, perpetrators and abuse and we live in a time now where people are so disconnected from their bodies, brains, and hearts that they are living in a state of trauma without even realizing it. TAKEAWAYSTo understand DID you have to understand trauma, because that is where the problem startsIf children dissociate, they will inevitably dissociate as they grow up and are likely unaware that they are doing itExtreme trauma and abuse can cause a child's mind to “segment,” or fracture, which compartmentalizes different parts of their personalityNature or nurture play a role in the creation of a psychopathic abuser, but it comes down to choosing to violate your conscience
Jon Uhler has spent more time working with prisoners in solitary confinement than any other therapist in the country. He has invaluable insight into why sexual offenders commit the crimes they do - and how deeply those crimes affect their victims. Jon is also the host of the podcast, Journey to Healing, and has treated both sex offenders and those who have been victimized by predators. He is additionally an expert on the chilling topics of Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) and the often ensuing dissociative identity disorder (DID), which has sometimes been called multiple personality disorder. Jon explains the decline that occurs in the mind of a predator who chooses to traumatize their victims, how those victims often suffer from DID as a result, and how they can find healing. It's been such a treat to have Jon on the show with us each week and the value he's provided so far is priceless. If you've been tuning in the last few weeks, you've seen that we've deviated from the conversation around a survivor's systems and parts and have been doing a deep dive into the mind of sexual deviants and perpetraitors in order to better understand the type of person who would traumatize and abuse a child to begin with. Jon's incredible insight into healing survivors through his 30+ years of working with sexual abuse and trauma victims mixed with his unparalleled work working in solitary confinement with some of the worlds most sexual deviants makes Jon is a force of nature in being able to explain both sides of the story - from both the survivor's AND the perpetraitors point of view. Jon's presentations help those of us listening be able to understand two sides of an abuse spectrum that can be so difficult to comprehend if you're not an abuse survivor, and it's extremely valuable information in helping survivors claim their power back. If you missed Jon's past episodes on ‘The Imagination', I'll have the show notes below. In previous episodes, you can learn about a survivor's systems and parts, dissociation and DID, boulders and knapsacks, psychopathy and narcissism, as well as the breakdown of what to look for in a therapist and what therapy should look like from both the survivor's and therapist's perspectives. So, grab a pen and paper and expect another episode jam-packed with new information from our favorite therapist representing the survivor community!Support the show

I hope those of you listening have been following along because this has been one jam-packed series we've been doing! Jon and I have been doing an on-going series of episodes aimed at helping you - dear listener - understand the inner workings of a survivor's system and all of its moving parts. Jon has been giving us a thorough presentation on all the different layers of programming. dissociation, and systems and parts - as well as answering your questions about journaling, triggers, boundaries, psychopathy, holding and removing boulders and knapsacks, and even some fun role play for us to consider what living with DID may be like. I have personally gained so much insight from Jon's teachings and from the comments and feedback we've gotten - so have you! We have covered everything from triggers to journaling to handlers to signs that you have DID and so much more. And lately over the course of the last few episodes, we have been breaking down piece by piece and part by part a survivor's dissociative system and all of it's parts. To help better our understanding of these complex systems, Jon constructed a graphic for us consisting - quite literally - of moving parts and we've been having fun reverse-engineering the system and breaking it down into palatable bites for you all to be able to step into a survivor's shoes if you are not a survivor as well as to have a better understanding of your system if you're a survivor who is new to understanding your system. This has been tremendously helpful for me personally and I've received the same feedback from many of you. Last week if you remember, I even role-played with Jon and with his help, I attempted to imagine I was a survivor with parts which was quite a humbling experience that made my empathy grow for survivors even more. This information is so crucial for us to know as a society because it's information about our literal physiology, psychology and biology that is all but left out of traditional academia. Lucky for us, Jon has taken the liberty of learning things he was never taught and is now paving the way in his field as being an authority on dissociation, DID, and extreme trauma. We are all so blessed to get to learn from his decades of research and practical experience and I ask you all to please put away everything you're doing and give Jon your full attention. I am thrilled to have back on - our feature presenter for our Tuesday Night weekly podcast event: Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Licensed Professional Counselor, Founder of Survivor Support, Podcast host of own podcast and channel @JonKUhlerLPC on YouTube, father of 3, husband to his high school sweetheart, survivor advocate, and someone you all heavily requested to bring back: Jon Uhler. In case you are new here or missed Jon's briefing on his background on the first episode we did together, here is a short recap of Jon's many accolades and credentials: Jon's work began over 30 years ago and the evolution of his career path is nothing short of astonishing. His education includes attending Epic Bible College, Biola University, Talbot School of Theology, and California State University and Fullerton. This important series John is doing with us is an on-going education where we are providing a weekly series - as our schedules permit - where you get to learn alongside an incredible therapist who works with healing SRA and mind control survivors - on what to expect in therapy from a therapist's perspective as well as from the patient's perspective. Therapy for survivors waking up to horrific trauma can be just as terrifying as the memories themselves. Opening up and trusting a therapist can be absolutely daunting and scary - especially when you don't know what to expect or how to vet someone out for the help you need. Jon's ongoing series here on ‘The Imagination' not only educates us on therapy itself, but he actually is walking us through - episode by episode - how to vet your therapist and how your therapist vets you, as well as topics like journaling prompts, how to handle handlers, forgiveness, and so much more. Jon's recurring spot on ‘The Imagination' has been so incredibly valuable and so many of you have reached out saying how much you value the information he's been providing. The therapeutic element is a giant piece of the puzzle as we have to have helpers willing to step in and help survivors both understand what they went through and how to heal it. Unfortunately, as you all have heard countless times on this show, getting proper help for something like dissociative identity disorder or finding someone willing to accept that things like satanic ritual abuse exists can be harder than it should be. Jon provides a refreshing take on healing by being able to provide very logical, scientific and clinical explanations to extreme trauma in ways that demystify the false memory lies that typically accompany patients with recovered memories and dissociation. And this happened all because he cared. This series has gotten such incredible feedback and has become a valuable resource for survivors, therapists and advocates to learn about the intricacies of complex trauma and the appropriate routes to take for healing and getting help. There is a lack of compassion and understanding in therapeutic academia fortherapists who may come across survivors of satanic ritual abuse, mind control and extreme abuse and Jon's work over the last couple decades is helping to paint a bright and hopeful picture for the therapeutic community as a whole to understand what universities and traditional academia has left unsaid about how trauma actually impacts the body and mind. It also gives me hope that this series will help empower survivors to feel confident going into therapy with the tools Jon provides to help identify therapists who are ready to help along with questions to ask and a general idea of what to expect. Jon is so brave to step up and help us with these deep understandings and I ask you all to please grab a pen and paper and give Jon your full attention as we will be learning a ton today! Jon has been so gracious as to share with us a series of episodes that are aimed at helping survivors understand what to expect from the therapeutic process from a therapists perspective, helping other therapists understand the aspects of trauma that they were never taught in traditional university settings (such as D.I.D., ritualistic abuse, de-programming from systematized mind control and more), and giving advocates of survivors a clinical way to understand the types of trauma that are unfathomable to imagine if you haven't experienced it for yourself. The first time Jon was on, we began a journey into discussing the therapeutic community from a therapist's perspective who works with survivors of human trafficking, ritual abuse and mind control and did a deep dive into triggers and programming. The second time Jon was on, we continued that conversation discussing programming, linguistics, healthy and unhealthy relationships, and so much more. With each episode with Jon, we are building a crescendo of information valuable to any survivor or advocate to learn in regards to healing and I'm really looking forward to continuing the conversation tonight as Jon takes us further into therapeutics and discussing what to expect and the journey to healing alongside a caring and qualified therapist. I am thrilled to have back on the show for a second time: Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider, Licensed Professional Counselor, Founder of Survivor Support, Podcast host of own podcast and channel @JonKUhlerLPC on YouTube, father of 3, husband to his high school sweetheart, survivor advocate, and someone you all heavily requested to bring back: Jon Uhler. In case you missed the first episode with Jon, here is a short recap of his testimony: Jon's work began over 30 years ago, and the evolution of his career path is nothing short of astonishing. Prior to his work with incarcerated men, he spent years working with sexual abuse Survivors, and treating Severely Emotionally Disturbed adolescents in group homes and within the largest intensive psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility for troubled youth west of the Mississippi. The first time Jon was on, we had a ground-breaking discussion about the underlying dynamics of programming and triggers in survivors and it was met with a ton of support from all of you. It's so rare to see someone in the therapeutic community working successfully with survivors of human trafficking and satanic ritual abuse, but it's even more rare to see them publicly speaking about it knowing they'll wear a target on their back and possibly be outcasted or worse. This time around, Jon is going to discuss with us more about the treatment process for survivors by breaking down the really big and difficult-to-understand concepts underlying trauma into bite size pieces of information that are palatable and easy to digest. Jon has a gift for helping us make sense of things that are impossible to comprehend, and I'm thrilled we all get to spend this time learning more from him about this topic on today's episode! One of the most common horror stories we hear on this podcast from survivors is the lack of help they were able to get when they remembered the horrors of their childhood from health care providers of any kind - and especially those who work in the therapeutic community. Jon is a breath of fresh air providing the public with education on topics such as: the psychology of psychopathy and narcissism, sexual deviancy, current agendas against our children including gender confusion and dysmorphia and how these agendas are gateways for pedophiles and child predators to gain access to our children, the dangers of pornography, trauma and dissociation, God and biblical theology, and how all of these things tie into the heinous crimes we talk about on ‘The Imagination' including satanic ritual abuse, mind control and human trafficking. ***Disclaimer***This episode delves into the darkest spaces in the show's history. It is not recommended for everyone...especially younger listeners...it is an important discussion to have nonetheless and stay tuned to an extended outro for the show by Phantom Phil.Jon Uhler is a licensed therapist that has come face to face with the worst society has to offer. On this episode he stops by to break down the dark doings of Satanic Ritual Abuse (aka...SRA). This term has been deemed to be 'cooky conspiracy theory' by many but after this discussion one will see this is likely not the case. But in order to understand these happenings Jon goes deep into the mindset behind these heinous acts...here is what else gets discussed:- His background working in various correctional facilities- The difference between a sociopath and a psychopath- Why psychopathy is a downward spiral one may not be able to come back from- The differences between ritualistic abuse and satanic ritual abuse- How this type of abuse stretches into the highest corridors of power within society- MK Ultra and mind control- Who would perp on children and why- Could some of these acts be the bidding of spiritually low-level entities?- Why he can likely prove that Jeffrey Epstein did NOT kill himself- How distorted the term 'extremism' can getYou can explore Jon's work and his vast array of links and other projects here:https://www.survivorsupport.nethttps://www.churchprotect.orgConnect with Jon Uhler on X:@uhler_jon

For parents expecting a newborn, their top priority is bringing a healthy baby into this world. But it's not just their responsibility while their baby is in the womb. As newborns, important screenings are changing health outcomes. Over 98% of U.S. newborns are screened for hearing loss and about 6,000 U.S. infants born are identified early with a permanent hearing loss. In all 50 states and Washington D.C., there are newborn screening laws to make sure these tests happen. Experts say they are crucial to keep at the forefront of newborn care. It's doctors like Owen Darr, MD, whose passion is helping these kids live the best life possible. “Working with families, helping them through a difficult time, finding interventions –– sometimes small, sometimes big –– that can really make a positive impact on a child's life,” Dr. Darr says. In today's episode, we are joined by Dr. Darr and Kristin Uhler, PhD. Dr. Darr specializes in otolaryngology at Children's Hospital Colorado. He is also an assistant professor of otolaryngology, head and neck surgery. Dr. Uhler is an audiologist at Children's Colorado, as well as an associate professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Uhler explains that 1998 was the year experts provided the efficacy for newborn screening. “Where they realized if you screen a baby by 1 month of age, you then rescreen them at and diagnose them with either hearing loss or normal hearing by 3 months of age, and then enroll them in early intervention by 6 months of age, that they have language on par with their typical hearing peers by preschool,” Dr. Uhler Says. Some highlights from this episode include: Why we screen newborns and what we are screening for Sensitivity and specificity of the hearing test Intervention options to help children with hearing loss When physicians should refer kids for a hearing test Today's episode is underwritten by The Daniels Fund, a proud supporter of Charting Pediatrics and Children's Colorado. Cable television pioneer Bill Daniels suffered hearing loss traced to his service as a decorated fighter pilot in World War II. His hearing loss increased over the years, and even the most advanced treatments available at that time provided only a limited increase in his range of hearing. His experience formed a strong catalyst for the Daniel's Fund gift to Children's Colorado for the Bill Daniels Center for Children's Hearing. Thank you to The Daniels Fund for your continued investment in Children's Hospital Colorado. For more information on Children's Colorado, visit: childrenscolorado.org

Brian Uhler calls himself a naturally observant builder. This personal characteristic has served him well as understands the residential construction market with some keen observations. Join as Brian explains how he came to learn about building science, later building it into all projects. Also, hear about how he found this podcast by mistake! Here's cool description from of his brother's YouTube that shows these traits run in the family: The purpose of this channel is promote knowledge and education in construction. Here in the US, many of us don't have any formal training or education in construction, but we learn through experience. My goal with this page is to promote learning and to that end I will show what I've learned over the years. I want to be very clear, what I show here is just a starting point. I am not claiming the tricks and methods I use are the best way to do any one thing, but rather are the end result of 20+ years of refinement with many more years to go. What I hope is that you as the reader/viewer will have an open mind and be willing to share your suggestions. Let's all view ourselves as learners first, teachers second. Then all of us will progress together. My name is Mike Knoche and I'm a general contractor and reformed remodeler representing Zone 8 in Fairbanks, Alaska, I'm on a mission to catalyze the conversation in construction and give a platform to voices from across the industry at all levels of experience. The TCH podcast is a distillation of nearly 1000 years of collective construction industry knowledge and experiences through discussions with my guests over 102 episodes. It's a grass roots effort to share knowledge, empower contractors and tradespeople with knowledge and affirmation. It started off as a mission to make the business side of running a contracting business easier, but running the business is nuanced. There's making time for family, long days on the jobsite, irrational clients, stress, mental health issues, cool ideas, setting standards, honesty, integrity, respect, professionalism, and an absolute need to pull together to recruit more people in the trades, women in particular. We need more builders. What's more, the experiences are universal across the building community we're not that different no matter where we live. Since the podcast launch in May 2021, the podcast has been downloaded in over 70 countries and I am proud to tell you the TCH is now in the Top 2% of all podcasts globally. I may independently record and produce the podcast, but every GC needs good talent. Thanks to an A list of guests, we were able to build it, and the people came, as they say. Before the podcast launch, I was cynical about the construction industry with a good dash of hope. Now this hopeful cynic has found inspiration from the genuine nature of my guests, their stories, and feedback from my listeners. We're taking the bull by the pigtails in this one (the Trunchbull that is). Bogart Avila (@bogartavila) has us watch the great spooker-classic Matilda. We of course all agreed that Matilda uses telekinesis and her powers are science rather than magic. Of course director Danny DeVito (Jess Uhler (@jessicauhler)) also shows up and defends his movie from the critics. THE THESIS: Government “schools”, the Mockingbird Media, Academia, Big Pharma and The Left all have something to gain by sexualizing children. Guest Jon Uhler counseled pedophiles in prison in attempts to teach them how to stop harming kids. He may well be the most knowledgeable person on their behaviors and how they see your kids and our world. Jon's educated view matches my view through observation and pattern recognition: the United States is allowing the sexual grooming a nation of kids. THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES: Leviticus 18:21 You shall not give any of your children to offer them to Molech, and so profane the name of your God: I am the Lord.Jeremiah 7:31 And they have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire, which I did not command, nor did it come into my mind.Ezekiel 16:20-21 And you took your sons and your daughters, whom you had borne to me, and these you sacrificed to them to be devoured. Were your whorings so small a matter that you slaughtered my children and delivered them up as an offering by fire to them?2 Kings 17:17-18 And they burned their sons and their daughters as offerings and used divination and omens and sold themselves to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking him to anger. Therefore the Lord was very angry with Israel and removed them out of his sight. None was left but the tribe of Judah only.Romans Chapter 1THE NEWS & COMMENT:Jon Uhler on Sam Brinton, the man who pretends to be non-binary, fired by the White House for alledgely stealing women's luggage.
