How do we raise kids who truly change the world? In this heartfelt message, Pastor Gina shares that it starts with more than rules or religion—it starts with LOVE. Through powerful scriptures and practical encouragement, she reminds us that the greatest thing we can show our children is the love of God lived out daily. This message challenges us to "show and tell" the heart of Jesus in our homes and relationships. When children experience the love of God through us, they can grow rooted, confident, and ready to impact the world around them.
In Highgate Cemetery, under that enormous head, London keeps him still.
Bottom line: By sharing the gospel message we can still see Jesus turn the world upside down. In Acts 17, Paul and Silas (second missionary journey – fulfilling the commission that Jesus gave in Mk 16) enter the city of Thessalonica and begin preaching the gospel of Christ, i.e. fulfilling the mission that the Mission Giver gave. In just three weeks, something incredible happens: lives are changed, hearts are stirred, false gods are abandoned, religious people find true freedom, sinners are saved, an entire city impacted. The unbelieving Jews make this accusation: “These that have turned the world upside down are come here also.” What a statement. But let's be clear. While the Thessalonians were giving the credit for turning the city of Thessalonica upside down, the reality is it was Jesus – the World Changer – who was turning their world right side up.

She didn’t go on a missionary journey. She didn’t preach to a crowd. She didn’t write a letter that would become Scripture. She raised a son who did. In this episode of the Bible Moms series, Kate and Rebecca uncover the story of two women you’ve probably skimmed right past — Lois and Eunice, the grandmother and mother of Timothy. With only one verse of Scripture to their name, these women are easy to overlook. But what they built inside the walls of their home — without a Bible, without a believing husband, in the middle of a pagan city — became the foundation for one of the most significant young leaders in the entire New Testament. If you’ve ever felt like your daily mothering doesn’t matter, like you’re just going through the motions, like the laundry and the carpool and the wiping noses couldn’t possibly be kingdom work — this episode is your permission slip. Because what Lois and Eunice teach us is that ordinary faithfulness has extraordinary impact. Every time. Without exception. Even when you can’t see it yet. TAKEAWAYS FOR MOMS 1. Your faith is forming your children — whether you realize it or not. You are always planting something. The question is what. What you model, repeat, and return to inside your home is shaping your kids in ways you won’t fully see for years. 2. You don’t need perfect circumstances to raise a godly kid. Eunice was raising Timothy in a divided home, in a pagan city, without a believing husband and potentially without his father in the picture at all. God didn’t wait for perfect conditions. He used what she had. 3. You are preparing your children to recognize truth — even when you’re not there. You can’t control every room your child walks into. But you can build the foundation so that when they encounter truth — or a lie — they know the difference. 4. God goes ahead of you in the gaps. Timothy may have grown up without a believing father figure. But God sent him Paul. If there are holes in your child’s life you can’t fill, pray boldly — God is faithful to provide. 5. Ordinary faithfulness is holy work. As Elisabeth Elliot said, it is through the ordinary, faithful carrying out of daily duties that union with God is formed. The feeding, the teaching, the repeating — it’s all kingdom work. SCRIPTURES REFERENCED 2 Timothy 1:5 — Paul commends the sincere faith that lived first in Lois and Eunice 1 Timothy 4:12 — Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young 2 Timothy 1:7 — God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and sound judgment 2 Timothy 3:16-17 — All Scripture is God-breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness Acts 13-14 — Paul’s first missionary journey through Lystra Philippians 3:10 — Knowing the power of His resurrection (referenced in Risen Motherhood context) RESOURCES MENTIONED Family Values — Gather Moms curriculum for teaching core values in the home (one value per month, practical activities for kids) Moms Let’s Talk — Gather Moms curriculum for intentional conversations with your kids on faith, friendships, gender, screens, and more Motherhood is a Calling — Desiring God Elisabeth Elliot — The Shaping of a Christian Family Self Tanner – https://a.co/00mEVFxV EPISODE TIMESTAMPS 00:00 — Welcome + Spring in Texas (and the great self-tanner debate ) 07:30 — Catching up: where we are in the New Testament story 10:45 — Paul’s road to Damascus + Saul vs. Paul — what actually happened 15:00 — Paul’s first missionary journey and the city of Lystra 20:00 — Meet Lois & Eunice — grandma, mom, and one verse of Scripture 26:30 — What they taught without a Bible (and how it prepared Timothy for Paul) 32:00 — Timothy joins Paul + what it looks like to invest in young leaders 38:45 — The Michelle Obama clip + young moms, wisdom, and who’s qualified to teach 45:00 — Famous scriptures from Timothy you’ve probably seen on a Hobby Lobby sign 50:00 — Application: how to build faith in your home TODAY 57:00 — Elisabeth Elliot + why mothering is holy work Gather Moms: Instagram | Twitter | Facebook Kate Henderson: Instagram | Facebook Rebecca Bradford: Instagram | Facebook

Karl Heinrich Marx was born on 5 May 1818, one of nine children of Heinrich and Henrietta Marx. The family lived in the Rhineland region of Prussia in western Germany. Although both parents came from Jewish families with notable rabbinical backgrounds, Marx's father, who worked as a lawyer, converted to Christianity in order to continue his legal career.Following an average school performance, Marx studied law and philosophy at the universities of Bonn and Berlin. He wrote extensively on economics, political economy, and society, and during his time in London in the 1840s, he began developing the ideas that would culminate in his most influential work, Das Kapital. Marx soon started publishing pamphlets and books outlining his theories for a system of communism, now known as Marxism.

Bioneers: Revolution From the Heart of Nature | Bioneers Radio Series
What would it feel like to live in a world where our built environment was as elegant as nature's designs? What if our living and working spaces nurtured our human communities and quality of life? Architect and designer Jason F. McLennan takes the revolution from the heart of nature and the human heart into our built environment. He is shifting the fateful civilizational inflection point we face - from degradation to regeneration - from fear to love. Featuring Jason F. Founder of Hobby Lobby, David Green, released a new book called The Legacy Life: Leading Your Family to Make a Difference for Eternity, that offers a Biblical framework for building multigenerational impact. In this conversation, hosts, Joey Svendsen and Jack Hoey, Jr. talk with David and co-author, Bill High, about the principles shared in their book, as well as a little about the Hobby Lobby story. From humble beginnings, David set out to be people-oriented in all of his business practices, including being generous with Hobby Lobby's earnings—giving half to charities and outreaches. David and Bill share what life truly is about—spoiler alert, it's not money. The Legacy Life presents a paradigm-shifting perspective on living with eternal significance. Rather than accepting the conventional work until retirement approach, Green and High call readers to embrace a biblical, generational mindset that creates lasting impact across multiple generations. At top of episode, the host crew discuss their current heart postures toward money and share some disagreement about the vegetable, corn. David Green: Founder/CEO of Hobby Lobby employing 50,000 people at 1,000 stores in 48 states and grosses nearly $8 billion a year. Author of Leadership Not by the Book and The Leader's Devotional, Green received the World Changer and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Awards. David, his wife, Barbara, and their children, grandchildren, and great-grands all live in Oklahoma City. Bill High: CEO of Legacy Stone, a ministry dedicated to helping families thrive today and for generations to come. Bill also founded one of the largest charitable foundations in the country where they facilitated more than $6 billion in gifts. He has consulted with families on a global basis on the subject of family legacy. He is the author and coauthor of several books, including Leadership Not by the Book. He lives with his wife, Brooke, in the Kansas City area.
