NEW WORLD RECORD 29-year-old, Pete Kostelnick, left San Francisco’s City Hall on September 12—his birthday—at 8 a.m. He then headed east for 3,067 miles, completing the trek in 42 days, 6 hours, and 30 minutes. The feat is unprecedented, and ends one of the oldest ultrarunning records recognized by Guinness World Records. That is more than 70 miles per day running and incredible feat.
