Im Zurückgespult blicken wir zurück in das Jahr 2011. Der Nintendo 3DS ist frisch erschienen und nach einer ziemlichen Spielflaute erscheint dann der 3DS Eshop am 07. Juni!
On this episode we talk about the HBO Max Spinoff for Big Bang Theory, how Super Mario Bros Movie is doing in the box office and how Nintendo shut down the 3DS eShop.
This week, Allyson says goodbye to a girl's best friend, the 3DS eShop, Pat gets more into middle-aged man hobbies, and Andre is trying to manage his inventory. Nintendo finally shuttered the 3DS (and Wii U) eShop this week, on the 12th anniversary of the landmark handheld's North American release, so this week we're paying tribute to it with a look at five of the best digital-only exclusives to have disappeared along with the storefront. Then we'll get into Resident Evil 4 Remake, Tchia, Have A Nice Death, new developments in the Microsoft-Activision-Sony saga, and the actors you think lend gravitas to any role.
Live from a hotel room at PAX East, the Nontendo Podcast welcomes Jirard The Completionist! Wood and Bob sit down with The Completionist to talk about what it's like being an indie developer, his recent Wii U and 3DS eShop video, and the downfall of G4. You don't wanna miss this one!

With the 3DS eShop closing down I wanted to take a look back at my time with my little two screen buddy and share some stories and go over some of my favorite games and, most importantly, download and play a bunch of demos of games I never got to play! Those are a surprise, though but I will say one has zombies and the GF jumped in to play one demo with me, there's some trains and tiny little colorful guys, Dracula and monsters get hunted. This was a super fun epsidoe to record, I hope you enjoy!

This week Stretch, Rut, and Austin pivot away from news and instead have a discussion about game preservation. With the WiiU and 3DS eShop shutting down in just a week there's so many games that will be lost to time. How does physical collecting assist in the preservation of games and where does legal and illegal emulation play a role in preservation? Rut and Austin have spent the weekend diving into the pits of hell in the Diablo IV Closed Beta (Codes provided by Activision). They discuss how they've enjoyed their time with Diablo IV, how Diablo 2 and Diablo 3 fans will enjoy the game, and what their hopes are for end-game activities.
