Groev (pronounced 'Grove') are a Galway-based indie/folk band known for their warm, folky melodies, catchy hooks, and heartfelt storytelling. Groev formed in 2024, playing pubs to pay the bills and working on their original music. They released their debut single, Ben and Jerry's, via Mahogany Songs in May 2025, and soon after supported Jamie McIntyre on his Irish and UK tour dates. Their biggest single to date, Tara Grove (released August 2025), has amassed over 200,000 Spotify streams. In November of last year, they embarked on their first national tour, which included sold-out shows upstairs at Róisín Dubh and upstairs in Whelan's. Similar sound to Kodaline, Amble, and Kingfishr. Groev released "Subtle," their first love song and latest single, on Feb. 27, following the success of "Tara Grove," which surpassed 200,000 Spotify streams. Rory from the band said the song evolved organically during the writing process. "'Subtle' found its feet over time," he said. "Initially, I had no clue what I was writing, but then I started connecting with it through getting to know someone, not knowing what to do but just being happy." The track explores early romance through small, intimate moments. Opening with the line "Saw her smoking underneath the light / I asked her hand, but she wanted mine," the song captures autumn rain, skipping stones, and moonlit conversations between two people before life gets complicated. The release follows Groev's selection for Whelan's Ones to Watch 2026 as the band prepares for a busy year.

If you want to talk about a week of milestones and headlines for Ed Sheeran this is it. First up in the news cycle Ed wrapped his record-breaking Mathematics tour grossing an eye-watering 140 million dollars in 2025 alone with total tour earnings closing in on nearly 900 million since 2022—those accolades as reported by Pollstar and Hits Daily Double firmly cementing his place as one of the modern live music juggernauts. Just as the Mathematics tour winds down Ed is gearing up for the next chapter: the global Loop tour supporting his freshly released eighth studio album Play. Australian music outlets are buzzing with the news that Vance Joy will be joining Ed as the main support across his January-to-March 2026 Australia and New Zealand dates. Shows are selling briskly with summer stadiums already moving hundreds of thousands of tickets—Frontier Touring confirms the buzz, and chatter on The Music Network and Hot Tomato has Vance Joy gushing over Ed's inimitable stage presence and songwriting.Meanwhile across the Atlantic, Business Insider details the Loop tour's larger scope: it kicks off December 1 in Paris and stretches through to November 2026 in Tampa, with stopovers at major events like New York and Boston's Jingle Ball alongside acts like Sean Paul and Monsta X. The support bill in North America includes Amble, Sigrid, and even Macklemore—showing the sheer breadth of Ed's musical draw. And tickets for prime Loop dates are a hot commodity, with fans scrambling between Ticketmaster and resale outlets for seats. Album side, Play dropped on September 12, and Sheeran has already teased in interviews with iHeartRadio Canada that another full-length, Rewind, is basically complete and will arrive sometime in the next 18 months. Ed describes Play and Rewind as “twin albums”—one flirts with Indian influences, the other with nostalgia. That same week Sheeran made a notable public appearance for a stripped-down TikTok show at New York's Domino Park, showcasing his new songs in an open-air setting. On the media circuit, a headline moment comes from BBC Radio 2 where Ed revealed he turned down an offer to become the first pop act in space, citing his daughters and personal anxieties about the risks. He quipped that until interplanetary gigs are as casual as flying to France, he's staying earthbound—sheer dad energy, if you ask the tabloids. On the tech and touring front, AV Nation highlighted that Ed's team debuted the brand-new DiGiCo Quantum112 flypack mixer for a recent Tiny Desk and TikTok Live—sheer proof Ed's show is as much about cutting-edge production as chart-topping pop.Across social media, Ed's Instagram and official profiles remain lively, sharing news about the Loop tour, snippets of backstage life, and playful nods to his kids. Ed's refusal to leave planet Earth is getting play on TikTok and Twitter, where fans weighed in as only Ed can provoke—mixing awe at his ambition and warm amusement at his grounded priorities. All signs point to another blockbuster year, one that will fuel both the pop culture zeitgeist and future biographers alike.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOtaThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI

Ed Sheeran BioSnap a weekly updated Biography. This week Ed Sheeran was everywhere, and if you blinked, you might have missed another headline. In a move that immediately set social media alight, Ed dropped the video for his new single A Little More on August 7th. Fans and music journalists alike couldn't stop talking about the surreal sight of Ed Sheeran crashing the on-screen wedding of Rupert Grint and Nathalie Emmanuel while wearing a bridal gown. The video, directed by Emil Nava, reunites Ed and Rupert in a playful, tongue-in-cheek homage to their viral chemistry from the 2011 Lego House days. Twitter, TikTok, and Instagram all went wild with reactions, with PopCrave calling Sheeran “ethereal” and hundreds of users remarking on how the cameo had them both confused and delighted. Critics praised the concept for its humor and nostalgia, saying only a Florence Welch cameo could make it more 2012.Ed capitalized on the buzz, teasing behind-the-scenes moments and joking with Rupert Grint about their long-running doppelgänger act. According to Sunny 94.3, Ed said the concept had been percolating “for years” and the song itself, a collaboration with Dave, Blake Slatkin, Cirkut, and Johnny McDaid, is his version of an “angry song” lightened by comedy. The music video gathered over half a million YouTube views within hours and was widely covered by outlets from SoapCentral to ThatGrapeJuice, the latter describing it as serving “both music and mischief” and highlighting Ed's skill at promoting both new work and pop culture throwbacks.Just days earlier, fans in Wexford, Ireland got the ultimate hometown surprise when Ed walked into The Sky and The Ground pub during the Fleadh music festival. Spin 1038 reported that Ed, taking a break from his sold-out Mathematics tour, played an impromptu set alongside acclaimed Irish musicians including Beoga and Amble. Locals were particularly touched, as Ed has often spoken of his love for Wexford and its role in his childhood. Instagram quickly filled with clips of the gig, racking up thousands of likes within hours. On August 7th, he wowed the crowd in Antwerp with the official debut of A Little More at Middenvijver Park, a moment fans hailed as emotionally charged and historic, especially since it ties into his forthcoming album Play, which drops September 12th. Concert setlists, fan-recorded videos, and fevered anticipation for both his Stockholm shows and upcoming new music continue to dominate fan pages and entertainment wires.Rumors have swirled online about possible further collaborations and some controversy over Ed's recent comments identifying “culturally as Irish,” but Ed seems unfazed, focusing on playful self-expression and high-profile appearances. It's all adding up to a new era that is lyrically sharper, visually memorable, and as headline-grabbing as ever.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta
Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance at an Fleadh Cheoil in Wexford town yesterday. He played at the well-known Sky & The Ground pub.Massive crowds gathered on the streets hoping to catch a glimpse of him.He was joined by members of the Irish bands Biird and Amble and performed a number of his original songs, as well as traditional Irish trad tunes. To discuss the surprise, Andrea is joined by Caolán Barron from the Sky & The Ground pub, Eamon Murray from the band Beoga and Singer Aaron Rowe.
Ed Sheeran BioSnap a weekly updated Biography.Ed Sheeran has truly stolen headlines and charmed music lovers in recent days, combining the spontaneity fans adore with the high-profile moves that shape his legacy. Just last night, Sheeran stunned revelers at the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Wexford, Ireland, with a surprise performance inside the Sky and The Ground pub. According to RTÉ, not only did he play hits like Castle On The Hill to a packed and vocal crowd, he joined Irish acts such as Amble, BIIRD, Beoga, and Aaron Rowe for renditions of classic Irish tunes, including a moving version of Wild Mountain Thyme with the all-female supergroup BIIRD. The connection is deeply personal: Sheeran, who recently identified more strongly with his Irish heritage, played an acoustic version of Perfect outside for those left standing in the streets, making sure nobody felt left out. The spectacle, widely shared on Instagram and across Irish media, immediately became the stuff of local legend and a viral social media moment, giving a major boost to the Fleadh Cheoil, which is already drawing an estimated 750,000 visitors.Sheeran's European Mathematics Tour powers on, and anticipation is mounting in Antwerp, as an extra show was just added to meet sky-high demand, as confirmed via his official ticket partners and Instagram. The Belgian gigs on August 7 and 8 will feature Myles Smith and Tori Kelly as special guests and are billed as immersive 360-degree experiences, making each night a guaranteed event. On the music front, Sheeran is feeding the hype for his forthcoming album Play, due out in September, by reuniting with Harry Potter's Rupert Grint for the quirky new video to his track A Little More. According to coverage from Sunny 94.3 and his own social media, Grint's return as the loveable lookalike superfan is a nostalgic nod to their iconic Lego House collaboration and has already set fans buzzing about the record itself.Social media-wise, Sheeran marked his official return to Instagram after a lengthy personal hiatus, promising more candid updates and hinting at a creative upswing after a self-described turbulent period. Outlets like AOL note that Sheeran credits his absence to personal struggles but now signals a new, more open chapter. There's no credible speculation about any controversies or significant business deals in the last few days, and all eyes remain on the tour, the imminent album, and Sheeran's ongoing knack for delivering moments fans will be talking about years from now.Get the best deals https://amzn.to/3ODvOta

We had the pleasure of interviewing Amble over Zoom video!Rising Irish folk trio Amble unveil their major label debut EP, The Commons, via Warner Records. Listen to it HEREBeloved for their descriptive storytelling, lyrics and powerful live performances, the band just announced their biggest headline tour to date for 2025, including shows at Dublin's Trinity College and New York's Bowery Ballroom, which sold out within minutes. The 30+ date run follows the band's entirely sold-out 2024 headline tour across US, Canada, UK and Ireland, including their debut performances in Los Angeles, New York City, Chicago, and many more. The Commons includes previously released tracks, “Little White Chapel” and “The Commons,” plus three new tracks, including the standout ballad “Thoughts Flood Back To You,” “One Man's Love,” and“Luke The Navigator.” Throughout, the five-track EP explores themes of love, loss, and loneliness but always concludes with hope and wonder for the beautiful world around us.On writing the EP, the band explains, “Every one of our songs tells a story. We had no ambition to add bells or whistles or anything production-wise. We're putting a microphone in a room, recording the music, and that's it. All three members are songwriters, each contributing in their own unique way. Robbie's songs are based on personal experiences while Oisin – who also writes poetry and short stories– delivers somewhat more impressionistic work, and Ross admits he's more of a melody guy.”Stay tuned for much more from Amble in 2025.ABOUT AMBLEAmble are Robbie Cunningham, Oisin McCaffrey, and Ross Mc Nerney, a three-piece ensemble of songwriters hailing from the Midlands and West of Ireland. Amble's debut EP, 2023's Amble (Live), introduced a new, musing, trad-tinged trio of songwriters to the Irish music scene, followed by 2024'shighly distinctive Of Land and Sea, found the group expanding their sound to an ever-more global audience. Their songs present indelible marks of deft rural-related storytelling and musicality that is equally traditional and current. Unusually for a contemporary group, all three members are songwriters. Every song tells a story. Robbie, Ross, and Oisin write songs that provide a quick getaway: one minute you're at the center of life's relentless storms, the next you're sitting in the shelter and warmth of your local bar on a chilly winter‘s evening with friends, a drink, and the reliability of a great song. The unique perspective of three individual songwriters creates a peerless body of work - built on the now familiar, ruminative observations on the world and more fitting to the Amble journey - the stories unfolding each day within it.We want to hear from you! In this episode, Sasha sits down with Seema Amble, Partner at Andreessen Horowitz. Seema shares her research on the transformation of the CFO's office, and how generative AI is powering financial teams. She discusses how AI can empower CFOs and finance teams to focus on strategic rather manual tasks, increasing client communication through automation, the impact of AI on valuations in service businesses such as law and accounting, and the progression from “service as a software” vs “software as a service”. Seema also discusses investing cycles, and how AI adoption in enterprise might follow the trajectory of other technologies, beginning with consumer adoption first. --
After Europeans colonized America, their descendants plowed their way across the continent, seeking prosperity through farming. But breaking up the soil – that had built up over many thousands of years – made it wash away. So some farmers are retiring their tilling equipment. Amble through Kansas prairies and cornfields as we learn how treasuring the ground beneath our feet can lead to farms that better withstand climate change, use less fertilizer and suck carbon out of the atmosphere.

Through this program, people in the community had the opportunity to take free classes through Blue Ridge Community and Technical College and present their business ideas. Contestants presented their business pitch in front of a panel of judges and whoever received the highest score won $10,000 to help fund their project. Oakwood BBQ received the top prize and also won another $1,000 for the People's Choice award, where people in the community voted online for their favorite business. “It's a wonderful feeling,” said James “JC” Henson, owner of Oakwood BBQ. “To have the local support to win the People's Choice, as well, means so much to us. Everyone works so hard. Some of us have full-time jobs in addition to the work we're doing at Oakwood. This will go a long way to take care of some of the projects we're working on.” In addition to the prize money, Henson also received a branding package provided by SC Studios and a one-year membership with the Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce. In 2023 to date, West Virginia has experienced 916 fires, burning approximately 11,340 acres, with 114 of those fires happening since the start of fall fire season on October 1. “Right now, we are asking West Virginia residents to refrain from calling local county emergency services centers for smoke complaints in an effort to reduce false alarm calls that can pull resources away from local volunteer fire departments,” said State Forester and Director of WV DOF, Jeremy Jones. “However, if you see a fire or column of smoke rising from a specific place, please call 911 immediately.” Debris burning is the single most common cause of wildfires in West Virginia, averaging more than 35% of all wildfires over the past 10 years. WV DOF reminds West Virginians to confine their outdoor burning to the hours of 5 p.m. to 7 a.m. per state code. It's the morning of David's trip to Berry Pomeroy Castle to go ghost hunting on his own in the dark. He tells Joe the story of the castle which is allegedly one of the most haunted sites in the British Isles. David is pretending not to be scared. Joe is worried that David won't be able to get in if it's locked up at night. They worry there isn't much tension in the ep but then David gets a call from his wife who has just spotted a celebrity in a bright red sports car being pulled over by the police. David remembers what he is doing that evening and thinks he may cry while Joe giggles at him. He tries to get out of it. Joe ends the ep with a bit of juggling.
