This week on the show we have another amazing guest - and another amazing Mind Full Live recording! Earlier this month we put on a live show in the beautiful Lark Concert Hall in Balbriggan, Dublin with Danny O'Reilly, the frontman for one of Ireland's most successful bands - The Coronas - to discuss the power of music, while also treating us to a couple of stunning live performances in this very special show.Danny has also been part of my musical memory for nearly 20 years. I first came across the Coronas when they burst on to the Irish music scene with their album Heroes or Ghosts back in 2007. Danny is a natural performer, hailing from a very musical family which includes his mother the much-celebrated singer Mary Black and his chart topping and talented sister Roisin O. Danny has cleverly and successfully navigated a constantly changing music industry over the last 20 years driven by a deep lying drive to express himself as a musician and a performer. We were also joined on stage on the night by The Mind Full Podcast's Producer Brian Connolly, who has a PhD in psychoacoustics. Brian joined us to discuss the neuroscience behind the power of music! The Coronas new album Thoughts and Observations is out now and go to thecoronas.net to see all their live dates including 5 nights at The Olympia in December– their Xmas shows there are legendary. They also play vicar street Dublin, the INEC arena in Killarney and Ulster Hall Belfast so grab your tickets if there are any left. If you've been feeling wound up, worn down, snowed under or bowled over this is the show for you so grab your stressed-out besties and your bedraggled partners, and join me as I travel all over Ireland and beyond and we'll un-wreck our heads and destress our lives together. This week on The Mind Full Podcast we are so excited to bring you an incredible guest in the form of one of social media's content pioneers. For the last 12 years, Cork man Cian Twomey has been a comedy content creator, focusing mainly on character sketches depicting hilarious real-life scenarios. Over all social media platforms, Cian has gathered over 9 million followers, with his videos exceeding a total of 4 billion views. That is mind boggling! Despite his enormous audience, Cian does not do many interviews. This is only his second ever long form interview and the very first time he has spoken in depth about his recent ADHD diagnosis. The Strengths of Neurodiversity is our topic for today and I'm also delighted to be joined by clinical psychologist and star of TV's Operation Transformation Dr. Eddie Murphy. Eddie has such a great mind and a great way of making complex concepts accessible and we're going to do our best to make the area of neurodivergence including the likes of ADHD as understandable as possible. If ADHD or neurodivergence is something that you or a loved one are navigating at present and you're curious about what it means, how it's experienced, the road to diagnosis and what the benefits and strengths of neurodivergence are then this is the place to be. Almost 2,000 Summer Event Jobs Up for Grabs Nationwide in Recruitment Campaign

Almost 2,000 event-based jobs are now up for grabs following the launch of a nationwide recruitment drive to fill positions at festivals, gigs, football, and hurling matches being held across the country over the summer months. Leading recruitment specialists Excel Recruitment say they are looking for candidates to fill a myriad of positions, including bar staff, cashiers, waiting staff, kitchen staff, chefs, and cleaners, in various locations in Dublin, Cork, Galway, Kildare, and Donegal. At 1,200, the lion's share of the roles will be Dublin-based, while 250 positions will be available in Cork, and around 450 jobs will be available across Kildare, Galway, and Donegal. Popular events that staff could be working at include the Punchestown Festival, the Galway and Ballinrobe races, the Trinity Summer Series - which will feature headline acts such as Paul Weller, Tom Odell, and The Villagers; and the Fairview Park concerts - which will see Fat Boy Slim, The Coronas and The Saw Doctors, amongst others, take to the stage. Shane McLave, Managing Director of Excel Recruitment, said this year's recruitment drive is going to be one of the biggest they've embarked on to date for the events industry: "We are looking at a busier than ever season for our events clients. Ireland's live music industry is increasingly attracting top international acts - creating exciting job opportunities for those wishing to work in such events." Mr McLave continued: "The nature of the work means that the hours can be flexible, and short and long contracts are on offer - a setup which is often very attractive to Ireland's student population. That said, it's not only students who can secure some work for the summer - we are recruiting people with all levels of experience. Ireland has the talented hard-working workforce needed to bolster these events and to ensure we maintain the standards that Ireland is renowned for when it comes to live arts and entertainment". A recruitment open day for the positions is being held in Excel Recruitment's Dublin Office on Wednesday, April 24th from 3 pm - 7.30 pm. Last year's event recruitment open day saw more than 700 people line up around the block at Excel Recruitment's offices at Mary's Abbey. The recruitment specialists are welcoming all applicants who are interested in working at one of the nationwide summer events to register, as long as they are over the age of 18. The positions being advertised are largely temporary summer jobs, though both short- and long-term contracts are available.

In this episode of You Can't Make This Up, we are talking about the Netflix documentary “Longest Third Date," out now on Netflix. Host Rebecca Lavoie interviews director Brent Hodge. After a pair of dates, Matt and Khani decided to go on a spontaneous getaway to Costa Rica. While they drank Coronas on the beach, coronavirus was shutting the world down. And when all air travel to the United States was canceled, the couple found themselves stranded indefinitely in Central America. Now thrown together, the two had to navigate life in lockdown while waiting two and half months to go home. Using video Matt captured on his iPhone, “Longest Third Date” follows the couple's efforts to find housing, pass the time, and get to know a person they just met on a dating app. After Matt and Khani's story went viral, the couple needed to confront an unspoken question: would this relationship of necessity continue when they returned? SPOILER ALERT! If you haven't watched “Longest Third Date" yet, make sure to add it to your watch-list before listening on.
