You need to see this before the mainstream media buries it — the Supreme Court just ruled Trump can strip deportation protections from hundreds of thousands of Haitians and Syrians. Finally, some common sense on immigration. Pat breaks down the explosive 6-3 SCOTUS decision that lets the Trump administration end Temporary Protected Status for over 350,000 Haitians and 6,000 Syrians. These so-called “temporary” programs from years ago became permanent loopholes, and the court just said enough is enough — no more activist judges blocking the law. We also cover: Joe Biden is BACK … and he's still embarrassing himself on the world stage. Gracie the Texas giraffe is found alive. Sergei Ivanov, another top Russian general, “falls to his death” — suspicious much? Thirteen Democrats just rejected socialism in a bold new pledge. Are Democrats about to lose Bill Maher's vote? Do you think ending these endless TPS protections is long overdue, or is the media right that this is cruel? And what's your biggest frustration with our broken immigration system right now? Pat reads every comment personally, so drop your thoughts below — he loves hearing from real Americans who get it. If you want the truth they're hiding from you on immigration, media lies, and what's really happening in this country, smash that subscribe button, turn on notifications, and join the fight for honest commentary. Daylight (1996) is a high-intensity disaster thriller starring Sylvester Stallone as former EMS Chief Kit Latura, a man forced back into action when a catastrophic explosion seals off the Holland Tunnel between New York and New Jersey. Directed by Rob Cohen, this 90s action survival film blends explosive practical effects, claustrophobic tension, and classic Stallone heroics. When a chain-reaction accident involving toxic waste trucks ignites a massive fireball inside the tunnel, dozens of survivors become trapped underground with limited oxygen and rising water levels. Stallone's character must guide a group of strangers through collapsing walls, smoke-filled corridors, and psychological panic in a desperate race against time. The film co-stars Amy Brenneman, Viggo Mortensen, Dan Hedaya, and Stan Shaw, delivering strong ensemble performances that add emotional weight to the disaster spectacle.Daylight showcases large-scale practical tunnel sets, real water effects, and intense stunt work — a hallmark of big-budget 1990s action films. Produced during the peak era of Hollywood disaster movies like Twister and Volcano, the movie emphasizes human survival, teamwork, and redemption under pressure. With themes of sacrifice, leadership, and second chances, Daylight remains a gripping entry in Sylvester Stallone's 90s action filmography and a nostalgic favorite for fans of practical-effects disaster cinema. If you are new to the podcast then please consider following us on the platform that you love, we can be found most anywhere that you listen to your favorite podcasts. Inflation Adjusted US Domestic Box Office for the last 25 years: Summary: In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the box office experienced significant growth, with yearly receipts reaching new heights. For instance, in 2002, domestic box office revenues hit a peak of approximately $16 billion when adjusted for inflation. Since then, total box office receipts have fluctuated, especially reacting to global events, such as the 2008 financial crisis, which led to a decrease in consumer spending on entertainment. The last two decades have seen a dominance of comic book adaptations and franchise films (e.g., Marvel Cinematic Universe, Star Wars, etc.) at the box office. These films often dominate annual box office charts, with some grossing over a billion dollars domestically. Sequels, remakes, and adaptations became staples as studios sought safe investments. The trend has been reinforced by the success of properties with established fan bases. The rise of streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, etc.) has changed how audiences consume films, often leading to decreased box office attendance for certain genres, particularly dramas and non-franchise films. The pandemic and writers strike severely impacted the film industry, with theaters closing and productions halting. The domestic box office fell dramatically in 2020. This decline prompted many studios to rethink release strategies, leading to more simultaneous releases on streaming platforms. Post-pandemic, there has been a gradual recovery, with some films performing exceptionally well, while smaller films continue to face challenges in recapturing pre-pandemic audience levels.

In this episode I will be discussing the opening weekend box office numbers for GOTG vol3 and the potential Superman casting for Superman Legacy and the outrage with it.
10:00 - Dawn breaks the news of an active shooter situation in Louisville Kentucky which she will update as information becomes available. She then moves to an Easter Sunday fire which devastated families in Parkesburg. 10:05 - Dawn puts it in perspective about what fires can do to people but how a community will rally around those affected. 10:10 - She moves to an update on the shooting at the Christiana Mall, where shots were fired over a dispute. Sadly this is just more of the same coming from that mall. How was your Easter? 10:20 - There's outrage over Michael's Family Restaurant over forcing a Muslim worker to remove her hijab to work there. Dawn speaks personally on the situation as this is a place she has frequented and has seen other Muslim workers thrive there, so why the sudden change? 10:25 - What's your take on that situation? 10:30 - Just be respectful! 10:35 - Have you seen the new Mario Movie? It's smashing the box office lately. 10:45 - Did you guys see SNL this weekend? Funny or sacrilegious? Also why not poke more fun at KJP and Biden? 10:50 - There's still asbestos in our schools? Now it's forcing surprise online learning to local families which is causing an outrage. 11:00 - We return to the press conference regarding the shooting in Louisville and what their Deputy Chief and Mayor have to report on the matter. 11:10 - Why is the city dragging its feet on its police oversight committee? It is completely infuriating. We turn to Philly lifer Jim Kelly on his take on what this proud city has become. 11:20 - Dawn then turns to your calls about gun violence and different opinions on that matter as well as policing. Very spirited debates. 11:40 - Dawn comes back from the break discussing more violence within the city and rebutting a previous caller's statements. 11:50 - Dawn finishes on a lighter note about a church community coming together for the first time since the building had burned down the year prior. Then we move to what Easter means to Philadelphians, including dinner, flowers, and family.
