and a sense of peace enveloped the place. En: In the center of the room, Arnau was preparing the materials for his first art therapy workshop. En: His hands trembled a little as he arranged paints, brushes, and paper on the table. En: Laia, the nurse who always had a warm smile, approached him.Ca: "Estàs preparat, Arnau?En: "Are you ready, Arnau?Ca: Avui serà un gran dia!En: Today will be a great day!"Ca: ", va dir amb entusiasme.En: she said enthusiastically. En: As the participants began to arrive, Martí entered with his determined stride. En: Martí was known for his blunt opinions and skepticism towards any therapy that wasn't traditional. En: Seated at the table, he looked at Arnau with an expression of distrust.Ca: "De veritat creus que fer dibuixos ens ajudarà?En: "Do you really think that making drawings will help us?"Ca: ", va preguntar amb sarcasme a la veu.En: he asked with sarcasm in his voice. En: Arnau felt the doubt growing inside him again, but he decided not to avoid the challenge. En: "Martí, it's not just about making drawings. En: Art is a way to express what we feel. En: Things that sometimes we don't know how to say with words," he responded calmly. En: As the workshop progressed, Arnau shared with the others how drawing had helped him understand himself better. En: Slowly, the participants began to shed their fears and picked up the brushes. En: After a while, Martí, who had been more silent than usual, made a stroke on the paper. En: It was a familiar landscape, a childhood memory. En: Surprised by his own action, Martí began to talk about his experiences as a child in the mountains. En: Martí's harsh tone softened, and the others listened with interest. En: Arnau saw a special connection forming in the group, people united by similar experiences. En: In that moment, Martí realized that art expressed something deeper than words alone. En: "Maybe this isn't so useless after all," he finally admitted with a slight smile. En: When the workshop ended, Arnau felt a wave of confidence he had never experienced before. En: He had been able to create a space where people could express themselves freely. En: Martí, who had been skeptical until now, stood up and gave him a pat on the shoulder. En: "Good job, kid," he said sincerely. En: The pavilion was quiet again as Arnau, with the support of Laia, began to collect the materials.Ca: Sentia una renovada esperança i un sentit d'acompliment.En: He felt a renewed hope and a sense of accomplishment.Ca: Potser, només potser, l'art podria ser la llum Amanda Prowse and Penny Dommett nattering around the kitchen table, chatting about all things random. Are we sitting comfortably... here we go! Join us for a dollop of chatter! Reunited and it feels SOOOOOO GOOOOD! A sunny chat today - and we do the whole podcast standing! Do we remember kneeling chairs and sitting on spacehoppers - anything other than sitting on a regular chair! Apparently you can now get a mini treadmill to go under your desk - okaaaay then. Mandy thinks she'd topple off a treadmill as she can't always walk straight. Penny has gone full Peleton! Whoop whoop! She's getting fit. Mandy talks about how hard her legs were working when she was very overweight. Mandy has lost the equivalent in weight of both of her dogs and she can't lift them up... seeing visual representation of the weight she has lost has really motivated her. We dip into Penny's competitive spirit. Go Pen! We discuss whether it's better to carry a bit of weight when it comes to illness? Penny is concerned that she is a bit of a scroller - and is trying to curb her habit. How much scrolling is too much? Is the answer leaving the phone outside of the bedroom? Do we remember the alarm clocks of our youth - the leather case travel clocks that were things of beauty! Mandy learns all about sleep modes on the phone - it's a revelation! Mandy is ashamed of how early she goes to bed! And we talk about Mandy's dyscalculia... it makes life tricky! Penny gives us a burst of latin. And Mandy breaks into song!!! You have been warned. We share our views on Valentines Day... not fans. And Penny shares her passion for the right brush for every job. So, if you fancy it, pull up a chair and join us for a delightfully irreverent chit chat about life and all its random tangents - bring a cuppa. Cake optional...

Dylan and Connor are joined by Grace McLean (Suffs, Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812). On a sweet summer's day, this icon called in from upstate to get into some DRAMA. Grace is known for delivering show-stopping, standout performances on stage, and she brings that same energy to the pod! We cover her remarkable career, starting with her current turn as President Woodrow Wilson in Suffs on Broadway. Brushes with Bill Clinton, HRC's Tonys regalia, and the brilliance of Shaina Taub are all covered. Grace walks us through her multiple (!!!) times playing male characters, with hopes of Sweeney Todd alongside friend of the pod Max Jenkins. We reminisce on Grace's iconic Broadway debut as Marya in Natasha, Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812, as well as returning to the Imperial Theatre in Bad Cinderella alongside her hunks and Carolee Carmello. Listen in for behind the scenes tales from Grace's time in Sleep No More, the process of writing her musical In the Green, and hilarious tales from her country estate. We had the best time with Queen Grace McLean. You can see her slay in Suffs 8 times a week on Broadway, as well as in Penelope at Joe's Pub this Monday, July 22!Follow Grace on InstagramTickets to see Penelope at Joe's Pub on 7/22!
