Access to sexual education for our youth is unbelievably important both from a health standpoint and from an education standpoint. But so many schools these days have sex education as optional and many don't even require the curriculum to be medically accurate. That's why I'm so excited to talk with Tara Jones all about how she's helping to change the landscape of sexual education. Tara is a black queer sex educator based in Philadelphia and New York. For the last five years that work has consisted of creating sex education, social media content aimed at young adults, writing for various publications and speaking at events. She is also the founder of the Youth Sexpert Program, a digital training program that aims to provide comprehensive sex education for high school enrolled youth. Listen in to hear her thoughts on why educating tweens and teens and creating peer advocates is so much more effective than traditional sex education and how she's affecting this change now. In this episode, we discuss: The importance of access to sexual education for kids. Why Tara created the Youth Sexpert Program and what it entails. The barriers that exist when it comes to accessing sex education. Our children's innocence is not just at risk – it's being stolen right under our noses. Welcome to an episode where we expose the shocking reality of comprehensive sex education in public schools, where pornography, gender identity, masturbation, and racism are painted as normal components of childhood learning. Amidst the alarming sexual indoctrination of our young ones, we challenge you to reflect on the values you want your children to uphold. Are you prepared to confront this dire situation?Jack peels back the curtain on the toxic influence of neo-Marxist ideologies in our schools, revealing how education has been manipulated for social engineering rather than the enlightenment of young minds. We delve into the insidious ideologies propagated by figures such as John Dewey and Chester M. Pierce, asking the hard-hitting question: are we building our lives on eternal truth, or squandering our freedom in a misguided quest to play God? Finally, let's shift our focus towards hope and healing. We discuss the Love Ed program, an invaluable resource designed to equip parents with the tools to talk to their children about the biology and true meaning of love. As part of our mission to restore the sanctity of innocence, we announce our 50-50 campaign, seeking 50 generous souls willing to donate $50 a month for a minimum of 18 months. Join us in this crucial episode that shines a light on societal issues while providing a lifeline for concerned parents. The Family Beacon podcast returns for Season 3! New studio, SAME commitment to giving you the facts so that YOU can stand for truth. This week, we discuss FIVE radical bills being considered by the Minnesota legislature right now. First, the PRO Act, which passed the House on January 19 after we filmed this episode. Second, the "How to" bill accompanying the PRO Act, which repeals pro-life statutes, mandates taxpayer funding for abortion, and would allow doctors to let babies die if they are born alive during an abortion. Third, the Kidnapping bill, which would take away kids who identify as transgender from their parents unless their parents provide "gender affirming care." Fourth, the so-called "Conversion Therapy Ban" which prohibits counselors from helping young people set their own counseling goals in the areas of gender and sexuality, and finally, mandated Comprehensive Sex Education, which seeks to introduce concepts such as Gender Identity to kids as young as 5. Imagine this scene: an adult family member is watching your child while you run a quick errand. Upon returning home, you discover your house is on fire. Smoke is billowing, flames are dancing on the roof, and the face of your helpless child is pressed to the window of his second-floor bedroom. What do you do? I imagine most of us would unhesitatingly rush in to rescue our child. Rev. Ceasar LeFlore says this is the fate of public school students throughout our state and nation. As the flames of indoctrination consume government schools, our children are trapped and we, their parents, are the only ones who can save them. In this address at the recent Pro-Life Pro-Family Coalition Conference in Orland Park, IL, Rev. LeFlore encourages parents to rescue their children from the secular and sinful indoctrination of public schools, and instead bless them with the strong discipleship and academic excellence found in home schools, co-ops, and Christian schools. Additionally, Rev. LeFlore discusses the various entities that are working to undermine Christianity/faith, freedom, and parental authority; the subversive and dangerous Agenda 21; and the pornographic, absolute evil that is Comprehensive Sex Education. He concludes with an overview of home school options and a final exhortation to parents. Rev. Ceasar LeFlore is the Field Director of the Public School Exit Initiative at Illinois Family Institute. Please share this timely podcast with family and friends and encourage them to click on Rescuing Our Precious Children From Anti-Biblical Indoctrination on the Illinois Family Institute homepage for more information.

Welcome Back Parents! Happy Love Month! Today's guest Andrea Brand is a great resource for parents as you navigate those tricky conversations about sex, body image and hormones! Andrea Brand is a passionate proponent of comprehensive sex education and helping parents embrace their role as open, trusty resources for their kids. Her work as a life coach focuses on supporting women interested in trading-in feelings of overwhelm for confidence and contentment. She worked for decades in public health, initially in direct care and then as a research consultant to impact programs and policy. After exploring her own inner conflict that resulted from the competing demands of a fast-paced corporate culture and life outside of the office, she stepped away from her career to evaluate her priorities and focus on what matters most to her: family, interpersonal connections, and living authentically. This reconnected her back to work promoting sex education as well as helping others live more purposefully. Andrea holds MSW and MPH degrees from the University of Michigan and is also a certified life coach. Now an empty nester, she resides in Massachusetts with her husband and dog. Season 2, Episode 67Silenced By Stigma Over Comprehensive Sex Education with Justine Ang FonteThis week, Jay chats with Justine Ang Fonte. You may have heard of her. As she jokes early in the interview, she's been target #1 by right-wing trolls since becoming internet famous over... simply existing. Simply doing her job. Teaching children honest and fact-based education around sex and health. Justine was, until this spring, a sex and health educator in a New York school. Unfortunately, her school allowed her not only to be the target of harassment by parents but, eventually, The New York Post and other trash "journalism". Justine resigned and soon after began speaking out about this experience and how stigma over sex is allowed to silence education and keep us from making progress on a whole host of important issues. We also talk about how stupid the idea of 'cancel culture' is (Justine had her life upended and received death threats over teaching health, Louis C.K. is headlining Madison Square Garden, who was really canceled?) and how we can fix the horrible issue of stigma around sex holding back comprehensive and healthy education. Spoiler alert, it's going to take a lot of work and parents being willing to educate themselves. We'll see... don't hold your breath. But, as Justine says in this conversation, these lessons could help prevent such famous examples of abuse as the aforementioned Louis C.K., The Catholic Church, and the Boy Scouts and on and on and on and on. Comprehensive sexuality education refers to sequential learning between grades K-12, where young people are building education and skills related to medically-accurate and scientific topics that are age, developmentally, and culturally appropriate and related to a host of sexual health issues. These issues include human development, healthy relationships, communication, pregnancy and reproduction, HIV and STD prevention, and sexual health and behaviors, including abstinence. The goal of sex education is to equip young people with the skills and knowledge they need to live sexually healthy lives. So why is it such a contentious battleground in the U.S.? Jesse Boyer with the Guttmacher Institute talks to us about sex education across the country.Support the show (https://www.reprosfightback.com/take-action#donate)
Rep. Brian King, D-Salt Lake City says that the state should allow comprehensive sex education in its schools. Rep. King, who is House Minority Leader, says his HB246 is needed because the rates of sexually transmitted diseases are rising quickly, and youth need more education to protect themselves. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, Gayle Ruzicka, President of the Utah Eagle Forum, says that "comprehensive sex education is all about teaching children that it's OK to have sex as long as they use a condom. It just doesn't work."
