Dani Rose is a country music singer-songwriter based in Nashville, Tennessee. She's known for her work both as a solo artist and as a member of the country trio Honey County, which she co-founded in 2014. Her music blends contemporary country with elements of Nashville twang and soaring melodies, often reflecting her diverse roots from California, Virginia, and Tennessee. Some notable highlights of her career include her 2021 single "Got It From My Mama," which gained traction with over a million Spotify streams and was later re-released as a bilingual version with Mexican-American singer Chiquis in 2023. Her songs have appeared on TV shows like Yellowstone and True Blood, and she's performed at major festivals such as Stagecoach and CMA Fest. Rolling Stone, Billboard, and People Magazine have praised her work, with standout moments like her performance of "Country Strong" at Stagecoach 2019 alongside 150 line dancers, honoring victims of the Route 91 Harvest Festival tragedy. In 2023, she sang the National Anthem at Dodger Stadium and announced a country Christmas show in Los Angeles. Her recent releases, like the 2024 single "Good Mourning," showcase a bold, evolving style—its music video features her staging her own funeral as a metaphor for a new chapter in her life and career.
We got married in a fever, Cuties, and we did so with Kelli Williams (@laguna_biotch) of Beyond the Blinds by covering the (non) Oscar-sweeping Leighton Meester film, Country Strong. While not the darkest movie the Cute Ones have ever covered, the trio do go to low places (much like Leighton's friends in this movie!) They also discuss the magic of Gwyneth, Donny's dreams of a lavender wedding, and Chelsea's kin being Snow White for the dead. When you're finished listening to this episode, stream Nashville! My guest today worked for Club Med from 2013 to 2019 and her first season was in Club Med Sandpiper as a Mini Club G.O. She later became a Costume Designer and worked in Turks and Caicos and Punta Cana. Before Club Med, she studied Art Education at Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee where she is from. She was also an extra in various music videos filmed in Nashville and of course, I have to know what that was like! After Club Med, she backpacked through Europe and became a Field Recruiter for Club Med. Please help me welcome Lindsey Hamilton! Lindsey's first season in 2013 at Sandpiper coincided with a Nike rental village, a Junior Tennis Player tournament, a “fake” G.O. wedding, a Make-A-Wish Foundation fundraiser, and a Rick Springfield rental village! Lindsey also might be only one of a few G.O.s to turn down the opportunity to work in Asia after their first season. Lindsey's stories range from appearing as an extra in the 2010 movie Country Strong, starring Gwyneth Paltrow to having an incident with six suitcases at Customs at Club Med Turks and Caicos in 2018 and so many more! Lindsey talks about her great friend Chelsea Gibbons, the people she liked working with, and what she misses most about working at Club Med. And a special thanks to Lindsey who, unbeknownst to me, was promoting my podcast to other EXGOs. So, thanks to her and anyone else I do not know of, who is doing the same thing! **My First Season podcast has always been ad-free and free to listen to and is available to download on: Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, Samsung Podcasts, Podbean App, Podchaser, Spotify, Amazon Music/Audible, TuneIn + Alexa, iHeartRadio, PlayerFM, Pandora and Listen Notes. In this nostalgia-filled episode titled "Florida Summers," Chuck dives deep into the memories of his sun-soaked childhood summers spent in Florida with his dad - a stark contrast to his life in Washington with his mom.Journey back in time as Chuck paints a vivid picture of those youthful adventures: from the sizzling heat of Florida's sands that left a lasting impression (quite literally) on his feet as he tried his hand at surfing to those mischievous days at summer camp feeding fish in the most unconventional ways. Chuck also shares a poignant story of exploration during a tropical depression, a storm that would soon evolve into the devastating Hurricane Katrina. Join us for an episode filled with laughter, reflection, and a few life lessons from those unforgettable Florida summers. The Sway Parade Podcast: The promenade down the infinite street of peculiar stories
Dive into an episode filled with thrilling highs and mind-bending moments as Chuck takes you through some unforgettable tales. From the serene landscapes of British Columbia to an unexpected party at a college house, prepare to be entertained. In a scenic backdrop of British Columbia, Chuck recalls a summer with his cousins, where some bud heightened his senses, leading him to a challenging swim to a buoy in the middle of a lake. But the mesmerizing experience took a swift turn, as physical exhaustion caught up with him, culminating in an almost perilous situation. The gravity incident is another story on Chuck's list. His first attempt, paired with a zany Tim and Eric sketch, had unforeseen consequences. An evening that started with laughs transitioned to a bout of sleep paralysis, all set to an inexplicable soundtrack of classical music in an eerily silent room. Finally, an unplanned encounter with a tab paints a vivid picture of a regular college house transforming into the epicenter of a massive party. Faced with the overwhelming ambiance, Chuck is faced with the challenge to literally "ride the party"As Chuck shares these pivotal moments, we're curious: Have you ever had an experience where you felt completely 'elevated'? Whether it's a wild adventure or an unexpected twist, share your stories with us! Reach out to our hotline [818 275 SWAY] or send an email to imhim@chucksway.com. In this episode of The Sway Parade, Chuck delves into the tales that have quite literally left a mark on him. Episode #77, aptly titled "Scar Stories," is a journey into Chuck's past, painting vivid memories of summer escapades gone awry.Picture young Chuck, reveling in the sun-soaked beauty of Florida's Sebastian Inlet. But not every wave has a smooth finish. A simple slip on a treacherous rock ends with a gash on his finger, imprinting a permanent reminder of the ocean's unpredictable nature.Yet, that's just the prologue. Buckle in for a heart-pounding recollection of an audacious 10-year-old Chuck, driven by childhood curiosity to peer into his neighbor's yard. The mission? A perilous climb up a post. The consequence? A deep, jagged scar on his leg, the aftermath of an encounter with a menacing bolt. The horror of the emergency room, the sting of the stitches, and the lasting numbness from nerve damage all come to life in this harrowing retelling. But scars aren't just Chuck's tales to tell. They're symbols of survival, strength, and stories that shape us. Do you have a scar story that's made you? We want to hear it! Dial our hotline [818 275 SWAY] or shoot an email to imhim@chucksway.com. Share your stories of grit and resilience, and let's celebrate the battles we've overcome together.Join Chuck on this deeply personal voyage through pain, bravery, and resilience. Embracing change, Chuck reflects on the podcast's journey as he prepares to revamp the Sway Parade. With gratitude, he thanks the steadfast listeners and shares his motivations for evolving, driven partly by the Almighty Algorithm and his looming 30th birthday milestone. But before that, dive deep into the curious debate as a former Trump advisor stirs controversy, decrying Pop-Tart's queer creator collaboration as anti-white. Chuck doesn't miss a beat, poking fun at the ludicrous claims over a breakfast pastry. Then, prepare to squirm as he discusses an unnerving spider video - one brave arachnid's venture into an ear canal. On a lighter note, Chuck ponders a lofty stunt posed by a caller involving helium balloons, with SWAYi providing some calculated insights. And as all good things come to an end, Country Strong Clyde bids the Sway Parade adieu with a touching video, but fans can still catch him and his tales on @CountryStrongTV An episode of endings, beginnings, and the occasional chuckle - this one's not to be missed! The Sway Parade Podcast: The promenade down the infinite street of peculiar news, Country Strong Stories & the Moistest Clips.
