Welcome dear listener to the latest episode of the 6th season of the pod. I'm Paul and I am joined by Daz and Justin. Reds return to winning ways. We will talk about the Bournemouth win, the EFL cup tie win, and we will preview Wolves away and Bologna at home games. If we have time we will look at what else is happening in the footy world.  Part One - Bournemouth home: The team that Richard Hughes built….. Hesitant start - Semenyo again.  xG in our favor - 2.06 to 1.08  (0.46 at half time). After 75 minutes, lots of shots from Bournemouth Well, there's Kepa - xGOT of 3.84 Luis Diaz, Darwin Again the midfield shape, defence - targeted our right side, but then Konate hits a few great passes.  TAA assist, Ryan Gravenberch Part Two - West Ham in the League Cup 5-1 again, but was much more of a battle - xG 2.55 to 0.57 (0.37 came from set plays) Jones, Gakpo, Jota performances West Ham appear to be a bit of a mess. Fabianski wasn't great Not sure we can conclude much from Endo and Morton's appearances Bradley, Quanah, Gomez, Tsimikas - definitely our back up back 4 Part Three - Wolves away and Bologna at home: Team selections and expectations Predictions ‘We love the low block' Elsewhere?  City Arsenal - lots to discuss.  Man City fan watch - not many of them at the Premier League fanfest:() We will be back next week with a review of the Wolves and Bologna games. A 1-1 draw to kick-off the new season wasn't entirely unexpected, but it was still hugely underwhelming just a few months after thrashing Bournemouth 4-0 on the same patch of grass and, of course, winning the Conference League. Some might see it as two points dropped, others will see it as a good point away from home. Either way, we've got a long way to go if we're to return to the standards that had is in the conversation for a top-four finish just a couple of seasons ago. Also on this week's pod, Will catches up with social media comedian and massive West Ham fan, Rob Morgan, before getting the thoughts of friend of the show and huge Chelsea podcaster, Stamford Chidge ahead of the weekend's visit of the Blues in Stratford. The lads also discuss their Betway charity bets for the weekend, as well as give their overall views on Bournemouth, Areola finally forcing his way into the number one spot in goal, the signing of James Ward-Prowse and so much more!

Will there be changes to the starting 11, specifically between the sticks as Fabianski has allowed 5 goals in our last 3 matches, or will our number 1 keep his spot with the only change coming in the form of new center back signing, Kurt Zouma? What is Declan Rice's future with this club as he continues to impress in the Claret & Blue as well as the Three Lions? West Ham crashed out of this year's FA Cup in frustrating fashion with a 1-0 extra-time defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford. The lack of strikers and the club's dereliction of duty by failing to sign one in January came back to bite the Hammers almost straight away as Andriy Yarmolenko failed to cut it in Michail Antonio's absence and youngster Ademipo Odubeko was given a chance off the bench only to be hooked again soon after. An irate Will Pugh is joined by James Jones and Tom Edwards straight after the final whistle to wallow in each other's misery and rue the club's lack of ambition in the transfer market. Said Benrahma gets a hammering while the boys take time to praise the positive performances by Fabianski, Craig Dawson and Ben Johnson. The lads also look back to the Mike Dean/ Tomas Soucek farcical situation at the end of the dross 0-0 draw at Fulham. The remarkable win at Aston Villa also comes up as there were three games between podcasts over the last week before focus switches to next Monday's Carlos Tevez derby showdown with Sheffield United at London Stadium. James brings a blast from the past to the table for Name That Game. And he also had a winning Betway (https://twitter.com/betway) charity bet for the Villa game. The lads make their selections for the Blades' visit before the Travelling Blade dials in for the opposition view. The international break has given us the perfect chance to reflect on the first couple of months of the season. The defeat to Palace was frustration but not the end of the world and the boys will no doubt be up for putting it right when they visit Goodison Park this Saturday. But while James Jones (https://twitter.com/ByJamesJones) and guest Danny Lewis (https://twitter.com/DannyLewis_95) discussed our chances against Everton this weekend, a large part of this week’s show was dedicated to West Ham’s youth players, who have been very impressive of late. A 16-game unbeaten came to an end with a defeat to Cheltenham in the EFL Trophy, and the Development Squad’s star players are really getting the recognition they deserve.  Anthony Scully won the PL2 Player of the Month for September, Nathan Holland is being touted for a first-team call-up this season and Conor Coventry is, hopefully, on the verge of a well deserved improved contract.  And while all that goes on, Declan Rice is representing England and Grady Diangana is smashing it for West Brom in the Championship. So, is the Academy of Football back? We got club legend Tony Carr on the show to find out what he thinks of the academy’s recent success and it’s fair to say he’s very excited for the future. Also on this week’s show, the boys discussed Fabianski’s injury woes and what to expect at Everton this weekend. As always, it's a cracking show. In the third of our Premier League specials, Steve Crossman goes behind the scenes at West Ham United. We find out what really happened to Declan Rice in the hilarious viral video that did the rounds in the off-season, and why he asked Manuel Pellegrini to go out on loan to the Championship at the start of last season. Also, we explain to Lukasz Fabianski why he is so sought-after in Fantasy Football, Carlton Cole's thoughts on new record signing Sebastian Haller and why nobody enjoys sleep more than defender Issa Diop.

Manchester United beat Spurs and it's all good so far for Solskjaer with De Gea so sharp. At the London Stadium Nasri cut open Arsenal at one end and Fabianski kept them out at the other while wins for Liverpool and Chelsea kept the Reds ahead at the top, and the Blues in the Champions League spots. We'll also have the regular features and a dive into the rumour mill where Fernando Llorente is being linked with Barcelona, and equally plausibly, I'm being linked with the US presidency. All in a day's work. Kawashima rettete in höchster Not.
