Mi vida como enfermero en aquel viejo hospital solía ser bastante rutinaria y monótona. Todo eso cambió, sin embargo, cuando conocí a Fabián. Fabián era un enfermero algo extraño, con una afición por lo macabro y lo sobrenatural. Nos hicimos amigos rápidamente debido a nuestros turnos nocturnos y a nuestra afinidad por el género de terror. Fue en una de esas noches cuando Fabián me compartió una historia que nunca olvidaré.

Obwohl ich persönlich gerne Schmuckstücke trage, habe ich mich bisher nie mit deren tieferen Bedeutung auseinandergesetzt. Ich fand sie hübsch, ja, viele haben eine Geschichte, manche Steine, die mich ansprechen – aber das wars dann auch. Das hat sich geändert, als ich Fabia Schacher kennengelernt habe. Sie ist Goldschmiedin in Bedigliora im Tessin und arbeitet auf eine Art und Weise, die mir die tiefere Dimension von Schmuckstücken erschlossen hat. Ihre Werke sind unkonventionell, herausfordernd und oft geprägt von starken Gefühlen, wie etwa eine aus Silber und Perlen gefertigte Vulva, die ihre Wut auf das Patriarchat ausdrückte. Für Fabia ist Schmuck nicht nur ästhetisch, sondern tief körperlich und spirituell: Er spiegelt sowohl die physische Arbeit als auch emotionale Prozesse wider. Sie strebt danach, den individuellen Ausdruck einer Person im Schmuckstück zu verewigen. Ich habe sie in ihrem Atelier «Casa Clorofilla» besucht und mir zeigen lassen, wie sie zum Beispiel Familienschmuck in neue Kreationen verwandelt.

Volkswagen, BMW, to byly dříve stabilní firmy s pěknými zisky. Dnes však před sebou mají největší výzvu za řadu let. Pokud se něco zásadního nezmění, sjedou v roce 2035  z výrobních pásů po celé Evropské unii poslední vozy se spalovacím motorem. Zatím ale z přerodu těží hlavně čínské automobilky.Staré značky, které udávaly trendy v posledních letech, budou mít co dělat, aby nezanikly, míní akciová analytička Anna Píchová  „Trh už je hází přes palubu, že skoro zaniknou, že nemají šanci obstát v konkurenci. Firmy v automobilovém sektoru jsou tak nyní skoro napříč celým sektorem značně podhodnocené.“Přesto sama Píchová akcie tradičních automobilek aktuálně nenakupuje a jedné německé se dokonce zbavila. „Já bych si sama akcie automobilek teď nekoupila. Držela jsem akcie BMW, na jaře jsem je prodala. Výhled je takový všelijaký.“Volkswagen je levnýAkcie bavorské automobilky BMW ale podle analytičky ještě mohou jít nahoru. „Cena akcie by měla růst, protože ty firmy jsou pořád stále velmi ziskové, generují dostatek volné hotovosti, vyplácejí dividendy akcionářům, takže se o ten zisk dělí. Některé mají poměrně štědré buybacky, kdy zpětně nakupují své akcie.“Také akcie německé automobilky Volkswagen jsou levné. „Poslední roky okolo Volkswagenu byly docela divoké a pro akcionáře až bolestivé. Prodejům elektroaut  se nedařilo tak, jak společnost čekala. Firma neobstává před konkurencí na čínském trhu,“ shrnuje Píchová.  Zklamáním byly i dva pokusy o vstup na burzu, skrze dceřiné firmy Traton, který vyrábí nákladní auta,  a producenta luxusních vozů Porsche.Loni ještě koncern, do něhož spadá i Škoda Auto, hospodařil dobře, tržby i provozní zisk narostly. První kvartál letoška byl ale zklamáním, čistý zisk poklesl o 21,6 % na 3,7 miliard milionů EUR. „Jsou za tím vyšší náklady, neefektivita a zákazníci kupovali spíše levnější auta, která nemají takovou marži,“ vysvětluje Píchová.Škoda na rekordechŠkodě Auto, druhé nejprodávanější značce z koncernu VW, se naopak vede poměrně dobře. Loni dosáhla rekordních tržeb i rekordního provozního výsledku hospodaření. Vyprodukovala 900 tisíc aut. Tržby jí vyrostly o čtvrtinu na nějakých 26 miliard EUR.Jestli se ale Škoda chytne se svými elektroauty nebo se stane „zombie firmou“, která bude produkovat jenom spalovací motory pro rozvíjející se svět, se může ukázat už brzy. V létě hodlá představit laciný elektromobil. Nový Epic má být velký asi jako Fabia, má stát 600 000 korun a na jedno nabití má ujet zhruba 400 km.„Myslím si, že by to uspět mohlo, protože my tady v Evropě důvěřujeme stále spíše těm našim evropským značkám. Nicméně dojezdy se u čínské konkurence udávají mnohdy vyšší a ceny ještě nižší. A technologicky vymoženosti bývají u  čínských aut poměrně slušné,“ hodnotí šance chystané elektroškodovky Píchová.Nezáleží jen na tom, jak bude úspěšná v Evropě, ale zejména v Asii, dodává:  „Když se podíváme, kolik aut se produkuje třeba v indické továrně Škodovky, tak ta čísla nejsou nijak vysoká. Zatím to vypadá, že z transformace nejvíce těží čínští výrobci aut. V evropě je třeba pokročit s vývojem, zajistit si dodávky všech potřebných komponent za rozumné ceny, což se potom odráží i na konečné cenovce toho auta a vlastně pokročit i s výstavbou  infrastruktury,“ vypočítává Anna Píchová.Bublina kolem elektroaut splasklaTržní hodnota některých výrobců elektromobilů jako Rivian, Lucit, Nio a Fisker spadla v poslední době o desítky procent. „Ta bublina trošičku splaskla, trh prozřel. Jejich ocenění, které bylo přemrštěné, se vrátilo zpátky do normálu. Tyto automobilky mají hodně společného s mladými technologickýma firmami, potřebují hodně hotovosti, kterou pálí na vývoj, výrobu, marketing. Negenerují zisk, prodeje jsou stále malé,“ hodnotí Píchová.Například Nio spadlo z maxima okolo 60 dolarů na současných zhruba 5 dolar. Podobně je na tom dokonce velká Tesla, populární mezi českými investory. „Tesla je v zisku, ale už není největší prodejce elektroaut. Předběhla ji čínská automobilka BYD,“ která se podle Píchové už dere i do Evropy.Jako investorka tak Píchová nepreferuje ani elektromobilní sektor, volí třetí cestu.  „Mně se nejvíce, co se týče automotive,  líbí výrobci vlastně komponent a případně výrobci náhradních dílů a firmy, které opravují auta. “ Průměrný věk aut se totiž zvyšuje. Průměrné stáří vozidla v Česku je necelých 16 let. Lucembursko má naopak nejmladší vozový park v Evropě 7,5 roku,“ vyjmenovává. My friend Jashon Ray Fabia (Age 33, single, LDS, RM, BYU-H grad in Psychology and Music, finishing Master's in Music Therapy) bravely shares his story as a queer Filipino Latter-day Saint (our first guest from the Philippines) and his new book (see show notes). Jashon shares the shame he felt which continued until he came out to himself in his mid-20's and others allowing Jashon to feel authentic and reduce/eliminate shame. It is a brave story of working through suicidal ideation to find hope and peace. Jashon talks about his focus on service to help other marginalized group, future projects and hopes for other queer Filipinos. Jashon concludes with reconciliation with his parents including grace with family members along this journey. L'ospite di oggi è Fabia Maramotti, Fabia è una campionessa di Iron Man e una vera appassionata di fatica e resistenza. La sua passsione per lo sport nasce con il nuoto in acque libere, dove fin da ragazzina ha partecipato alle traversate più dure d'Italia e d'Europa. Nel 2016 ha attraversato gli Stati Uniti in bicicletta, quasi 8000 km da Seattle a Boston per raccogliere fondi per la ricerca dei tumori al sangue. Nel 2017 Fabia inizia la sua carriera da triatleta e da allora partecipa a gare estreme sia di Iron man che di Ultra. Proprio l'anno scorso, Fabia ha vinto tre degli appuntamenti più prestigiosi dei circuiti internazionali di Iron Man, ovvero l'Eagle X Man sul Gran Sasso, la tappa italiana dell'Iron Man a Cervia e l'Iron Man in Arizona. Proprio qualche mese fa Fabia ha concluso al secondo posto femminile e al quinto posto assoluto l'Ultraman della Florida, una delle gare più faticose e lunghe al mondo che consiste in 10km di nuoto, 420 km di bici e 84 km di corsa (quindi una doppia maratona...). Personalmente ho sempre visto questa gara come l'emblema della sfida contro se stessi e contro i limiti umani, sia fisici che mentali. Fabio is a perfect example of what one civilian can do if he truly wants to become an elite Protector. One of the things I love about him the most is simply that he is a civilian who has chosen a path that has empowered him to perform at some of the highest levels in the game with regards to not only professional protection at times but also he also empowers others to become efficient protectors also. People ask me all the time how they can begin learning how to use firearms and in these turbulent times, this question is all too relevant. I repeatedly send them to Fabio because not only does he perform at those levels that many of us simply just dream of achieving one day but he's also an amazing instructor that understands firearms on so many levels that he's able to meet people where they're at and teach them very effectively. He has experience learning and implementing these skills through competitions and an ocean of courses and therefore he understands what information out there is garbage and what actually works when it comes strictly to performance. In a world where there's so much hype, theory and artificial tactics designed more as a marketing strategy than to empower the shooter to survive… Men like Fabio are so needed as leaders and instructors within the firearms community today. If you've just purchased a firearm please keep in mind that the firearm you've selected is way less important than the training you choose because that's ultimately what will run that weapon and can save your life. I cannot stress the importance of training enough. We have a saying in the personal protection game, “rookies spend money on hardware while professionals spend money on software“. My advice is for you to get involved in some of Fabio‘s training no matter where you're at in your firearms skills because I guarantee there's so much more left to learn that he will show you.
