In today's message, “God Has the Answer,” we explore Jeremiah 29 and Daniel 9 and what these passages reveal about seeking God in the midst of uncertainty, difficulty, and waiting. Daniel didn't simply accept what he wanted to hear—he went to God's Word, sought the Lord through prayer and fasting, confessed, and trusted God for His answer. This message encourages us to draw near to God, seek Him with our whole heart, listen for His direction, and faithfully respond to what He says. God has the answer, and He invites us to seek Him.

Can you really know that you're saved?Pastor Wayman Mitchell preaches from Ephesians 1 on the assurance of salvation and one of the most encouraging truths in Scripture: God is committed to finishing what He started in you.New converts and longtime Christians alike can struggle with condemnation. Old habits surface. Wrong thoughts return. The devil accuses you and tells you, “You haven't really changed. You'll always be this way.”But God says something different. In this message, Pastor Mitchell explains what it means to be redeemed by the blood of Jesus, accepted in Christ, and sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise. That seal is more than a religious idea. It speaks of ownership. God has put His mark on those who belong to Him.Philippians 1:6 says:“He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ.”Your confidence is not that you are strong enough to save yourself. God Has a Better Way | Falling In Love With Jesus | Pastor Robert Rivera by Riverside Church

MY Devotional: Daily Encouragement from Leading The Way

Jesus promised that trouble would come in this world—but He also promised His overcoming peace. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef turns to Psalm 28 and the life of David to show where believers should go when hardships threaten to overwhelm them. David knew trouble well. He faced Saul's jealousy, years of hiding in caves, battles over the throne, devastating sin, family strife, the loss of children, and even betrayal from his own son. Yet again and again, David brought his distress, failure, and fear before the merciful God who never changes. Psalm 28 captures David's cry: “To you, LORD, I call; you are my Rock.” God is called the Rock because He is changeless, permanent, invincible, and immovable. Circumstances shift. Emotions rise and fall. People fail. But God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever—and every promise He has made will stand. When life feels unbearable, don't run from God. Run to Him. He is faithful even when we are not, and He promises never to leave or forsake His children. Prayer: Lord, You are my rock and my salvation. Help me to build my life on You, experiencing Your faithfulness and love in my life. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.  “The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold” (Psalm 18:2).  Learn more in Dr. Michael A. MY Devotional: Daily Encouragement from Leading The Way

King Saul was hunting David, determined to kill the man God had anointed to take his place. Then, in a moment that seemed perfectly arranged for revenge, Saul entered the very cave where David and his men were hiding. David had the opportunity to end his suffering—but instead of killing Saul, he cut off a corner of Saul's robe and spared his life. In today's episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef points to David's restraint as a powerful example of faith in God's justice. David could have justified vengeance, especially after years of running for his life while Saul remained safe in the palace. But David knew a Truth declared throughout Scripture: God is the righteous Judge. Psalm 37 reveals David's hard-won confidence. Though the wicked may appear successful for a season, their triumph is temporary. God sees every injustice, every plot, every cruelty, and every hidden motive—and He will make all things right in His time. When you are mistreated, overlooked, or tempted to envy the temporary success of the wicked, don't lose heart. Keep calm. Look up. Your heavenly Father is sovereign, and the meek will inherit His promised peace. Prayer: Lord, may I be filled with compassion and also find comfort in the promise that evil will receive Your righteous judgment. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.  “A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity” (Psalm 37:10-11). MY Devotional: Daily Encouragement from Leading The Way

David's life looked like the definition of success—power, influence, a throne. Yet behind the scenes, his family was unraveling through tragedy and rebellion, and he found himself fleeing his own son Absalom. In exile and grief, David prayed not with polished words, but with a heartfelt plea for mercy and justice—and Psalm 28 captures that cry for every believer who has ever felt overwhelmed, slandered, mistreated, or misunderstood. In this episode of the MY Devotional Podcast, Dr. Michael Youssef highlights the turning point in David's prayer: when your world is falling apart, the most revealing question isn't “Why is this happening?”—it's “Will I run to God, or blame Him?” Even when we face consequences from our own wrong choices, David shows the right posture: humility. A cry for mercy is the opposite of saying, “God, You owe me.” You'll also hear why David's posture mattered—arms raised, fully engaged—because sometimes wrestling in prayer becomes the pathway to victory. And through every layer of collapse—family, leadership, reputation—one Truth held steady: God was David's Rock. If you're facing betrayal, pressure, or pain that feels bigger than you, this devotional will re-anchor your heart in the unchanging character of God: His power doesn't diminish, His love doesn't shift, and His mercy doesn't fade. Prayer: Lord, I will trust in You when circumstances threaten to overwhelm me. I will rest in Your mercy toward me and hope in Your coming Kingdom. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.  Scripture Focus: “The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him” (Psalm 28:7).  *This devotional adapted from Life-Changing Prayers by Michael Youssef © 2018. Published by Baker Books, Grand Rapids, MI. 'Now they departed and came back to Moses and Aaron and all the congregation of the children of Israel in the Wilderness of Paran, at Kadesh; they brought back word to them and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land. Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.” 'Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.” 'But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”' (Numbers 13.26-31, NKJV) One thing had to happen before they could appropriate all the blessings of God, which had been so clearly promised and prophesied, this was their ‘Iron Curtain', the final barrier. One final step and all that they had longed and prayed for would be theirs. One step and the veil that covered their eyes would be lifted and they would see one of the most beautiful and dramatic things that man has ever seen (and few are allowed to actually see this), the REASON why God works great and powerful miracles! His purpose NOW revealed! After all Abraham only acted in faith, he never saw the fulfilment.  But this one final step was not taken! – It was to demand a faith beyond their ability! How often are believers today within sight of everything that they are desiring, often with earnest prayer and with the clear knowledge that God HAS promised... yet that final step is not taken, they don't go in and possess the land. It occurs in the realms of healing, finance, evangelism and missions, possibly even revival, certainly in most areas of our lives and especially our service for God.

We continue our enlightening series, No Longer Strangers. Last week, Talk 3, God Has a Family, affirmed that we are not strangers to one another. Since we are all in just one family, does it follow that we are united? If you're a member of a family, you'll most likely answer “No.” We struggle through conflicts in our family. Talk 4, however, tells us that unity among family members is possible. How? The entire letter to the Ephesians has two parts. The first half—which consists of the first three chapters—explains our identity in Christ. The second half– which consists of the last three chapters—explains how to live out that identity. Talk 4 focuses on the second half of Ephesians. And the first thing Paul tells us? Our identity in Christ gives us real unity. If we follow Jesus, then we should be willing to sacrifice for our unity. The key message of Talk 4 is: Without sacrifice, there is no real unity.

We are now in the middle of our series, No Longer Strangers. Talk 3, God Has a Family, affirms that we are not strangers from one another. Every single human being has equal dignity, equal identity, and equal inheritance—because we're all children of God. No exception. Even if we look at the world today, there is so much painful inequality. Which makes us think: “Maybe God loves some more than others.” Sadly, inequality is the undeniable mark of the world around us. But Ephesians says this is not God's Plan. In Ephesians 3, Paul gives a summary of everything he's talked about so far and then prays that we'll be able to understand—just a bit more—the greatest mystery of all— God's awesome Love for us. The key message of Talk 3: We are equally loved.

WELCOME to our brand-new teaching series: No Longer Strangers. For six weeks, we'll take a deep dive into Ephesians. If you were with us last year, we did a teaching series on 1 Corinthians, with the title, MESSY SAINTS. These two letters—1 Corinthians and Ephesians—belong to the same group of letters St. Paul wrote when the early Church was spreading in the first century. Some Bible scholars call Ephesians the Queen of the Epistles, the masterpiece of Paul's theology. Ephesians declares God's cosmic, eternal plan from the very beginning of history to its ultimate completion. And what is that cosmic plan? The unity of everything under Jesus. The key message of Talk 1 is: God Has a Plan.

For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.”James 2:17 (NIV) – “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”Matthew 14:22–33 (NIV) – Full passage with verse numbers.Psalm 23:4 (NIV) – “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”Matthew 14:22–33 (NIV)22 Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side, while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After he had dismissed them, he went up on a mountainside by himself to pray. Later that night, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it. 25 Shortly before dawn Jesus went out to them, walking on the lake.26 When the disciples saw him walking on the lake, they were terrified. “It's a ghost,” they said, and cried out in fear. 27 But Jesus immediately said to them: “Take courage! It is I. Don't be afraid.” 28 “Lord, if it's you,” Peter replied, “tell me to come to you on the water.” 29 “Come,” he said. Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid and, beginning to sink, cried out, “Lord, save me!” 31 Immediately Jesus reached out his hand and caught him. “You of little faith,” he said, “why did you doubt?” 32 And when they climbed into the boat, the wind died down. 33 Then those who were in the boat worshiped him, saying, “Truly you are the Son of God.”Points for SlidesFaith in the Mind → Fueled by God thoughts (Romans 12:2)Faith in the Mouth → “Faith is voice-activated” (Romans 10:9–10)Faith in the Movement → Faith isn't fruitful until you make a moveVerseJames 2:17 (NIV) – “Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”Point 1 – God Has a Destination for YouMatthew 14:22 – “Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go on ahead of him to the other side.”Point 2 – Storms Will ComeMatthew 14:24 – “But the boat was already a considerable distance from land, buffeted by the waves because the wind was against it.”Matthew 14:27 – “Take courage!
