O kriptovalutah, kriptožetonih, kriptovročici sem se pogovarjala z Matejem Tomažinom, nekdanjim borznikom, ki je prestopil v kripto svet. Epizodo priporočam tudi skeptikom. Tokratni podcast je uvod v kripto svet. Ta povzroča pri ljudeh različne odzive – nekateri pravijo, da gre za nateg in kockanje, drugi, da je to naša prihodnost. Takšni so bili tudi vaši odzivi v moji Instragram zgodbi, ki sem jo objavila ob napovedi te kripto epizode.   Za vse, ki pravite, da vas kripto ne zanima, da je to kockanje, prevara, sramota in še kaj, vas vabim, da vseeno prisluhnete epizodi, ker boste slišali drugačen način razmišljanja, ki lahko še dodatno potrdi vaša prepričanja ali pa morda celo spodbudi k nadaljnjemu raziskovanju. V uvodni kripto epizodi se pogovarjam z Matejem Tomažinom, nekdanjim borznikom, ki je prestopil v kripto svet. Matej je na kapitalske trge vstopil pred 25 leti še kot študent, bil je upravljavec premoženja in kasneje tudi prokurist pri borzno-posredniški hiši Ilirka. Leta 2006 je na Hrvaškem ustanovil družbo za upravljanje premoženja Alfa Invest in jo leta 2009 prodal NFD. Kasneje postal član in potem še predsednik uprave KD Skladi (danes so to Generali Investments). Matej je po borzni karieri skočil v svet podjetništva, soustanovil nekaj podjetij in bil tudi angelski investitor v več zagonskih podjetij. Ukvarjal se je tudi z virtualno resničnostjo. Leta 2017 se pridružil ekipi kriptopodjetja Iconomi, ki je bilo prvo slovensko podjetje, ki je leta 2016 izvedlo ICO oziroma prvo izdaja kriptožetonov. Zbrali so 10,6 milijonov dolarjev za projekt platforme za upravljanje kriptoimetij oziroma kriptoskladov. Tam je zdaj direktor.  _____________________________________________________ OPOZORILO V tej kripto epizodi so omenjene konkretne naložbe, ki ne predstavljajo naložbenega nasveta. Razmere na kripto trgu so zelo razgrete in v takšnem okolju je potrebna dodatna previdnost. Tečaji dobesedno letijo v nebo oziroma »to the moon« in donosnosti presegajo v zelo kratkih obdobjih več tisoč odstotkov. Balon se kot že videno v kriptu napihuje. Izpolnjeni so namreč trije pogoji: 1.       nekaj je na tem in tehnologija se razvija, 2.       pretekla donosnost se vidi kot garancija za prihodnjo donosnost, 3.       vsi znajo povedati, da gre za izjemno naložbeno priložnost in vsi želijo zaslužiti s kriptom. Toda, balon bo počil. Tako kot je že nekajkrat. Pomembnejše vprašanje pa je, kaj se bo zgodilo s kriptom na srednji in dolgi rok. Za razumevanje potenciala različnih kripto projektov si je predvsem potrebno vzeti čas, jih spoznati in šele na to razmisliti o investiranju. First up, Circle eyes crypto securities bid with crowdfunding site acquisition. Circle is reportedly moving to acquire SeedInvest, a crowdfunding platform for startups. Their acquisition will – if approved by regulators – open to the door to allowing startups to raise funds by selling digital tokens via its platform. Yale Invests in Crypto Fund That Raised $400 Million. The Ivy League school is getting into the market for cryptocurrencies. $30 billion endowment is headed by David Swensen. Under Swensen’s leadership, Yale has returned 11.8 percent on average for the past 20 years. Ninety-six percent of endowments and foundations responding to a survey by consulting firm NEPC in February said they don’t invest in digital currencies. SEC, CFTC charge bitcoin futures firm 1Broker with securities law violations. The SEC announced in a press release that it filed charges against 1pool Ltd., also known as 1Broker, as well as its CEO Patrick Brunner for selling security-based swaps to U.S. and international investors without following proper "discretionary investment thresholds." Notably, investors could only purchase these swaps with bitcoin, according to the claims. The SEC is further claiming that 1Broker was not registered a "security-based swaps dealer" and "failed to transact its security-based swaps on a registered national exchange." Marco Polo blockchain platform for trade finance released. Marco Polo is an initiative to develop an open account trade finance platform powered by blockchain technology. The platform is built by TradeIX, R3 and a group of banks on the Corda blockchain framework, using TradeIX’s open-source tools to test, pilot and manage open account trade finance transactions. The announcement was made at the CordaCon London event on September 13, where Rob Barnes, co-founder and CEO of TradeIX, gave the audience new insights into the project’s timeline. TD Ameritrade all-in with crypto, invests in exchange. Announced this week a strategic investment in ErisX, the cryptocurrency spot and futures exchange. John Pennington (WG '19) speaks with Jani Valjavec, co-founder and CTO (Trading) of ICONOMI, the world’s first blockchain-based digital asset management platform for the decentralized economy. In order to build a bridge between the old and new economies, Iconomi has developed a digital asset management platform based on Ethereum smart contracts. Users are able to create their own Digital Asset Array, or DAA, made up of various digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dash, and more. Once their asset basket is created, they are secured through a multi-level security system of hot wallets and cold storage that they developed. What will the price of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash, Ripple, IOTA, NEM, Litecoin, Dash, NEO, ETC, Monero, OmiseGo, BitConnect, Qtum, Zcash, TenX, EOS, Lisk, BitShares, and Steem be as a part of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization in September 2017? Here are my predictions for each coin! 1. Bitcoin may go up a bit towards $5,000 before a dump back to as low as $2,000 as competition with Bitcoin Cash heats up. 2. ETH may benefit from trading on BitStamp, Poloniex, Bithumb, Bittrex, and Coinbase as investors believe the war between BTC and BCC will leave Ethereum as the winner. ETH may go as high as $500 with ups and downs of $50 daily possible. 3. Bitcoin Cash just pumped yesterday and may continue to pump as the top BCC miner plots to overtake Bitcoin while Coinbase definitely and Bitstamp soon most likely add support for BCC. 4. Ripple has continued an epic dump after an epic pump and will likely continue to drop further in September with a possible rebound later. Ripple down to $0.05 or $0.10 in Sept 2017. 5. IOTA may go up to $1.50 before it starts dropping in Sept with the Bitcoin price. 6. NEM seems to have a strong community which will minimize bottoming out completely and may pump to $0.40 in September before a drop along with the Bitcoin price eventually to under $0.20. 7. Litecoin has strong user adoption and history making it perfect for a pump to $100 in September. 8. Dash might increase some to $350 or $400 before beginning an epic drop in September back under $200 and eventually under $10 in a year or few years because of the lack of end user adoption. 9. NEO just went through a huge spike which will lead to correction in September as the euphoria wears off. 10. Ethereum Classic is in a good position for a price spike but the Bitcoin price may make it more of a flat line. 11. Monero is going strong and seems to be in position to win the war for a black market cryptocurrency. $60 or more in September. 12. OmiseGo is so new it likely will drop in September after initial excitement. 13. BitConnect just hit a power curve up and will regress to the mean in September. 14. Qtum will go down with the Bitcoin price. 15. Stratis is looking at a flat line or a drop with the Bitcoin price after initial excitement. 16. Waves has been dropping relative to the Bitcoin price and is on the way down also. 17. Zcash has been fairly flat and is actually in a good position to break $300 in Sept 2017. 18. TenX is brand new and will slide down the charts as the other new ones do in September. 19. EOS is selling so many tokens every day that the price will keep dropping to under $0.50 by the end of September as the first investors sell and fewer new investments come in. 20. Lisk just pumped hard and will drop. 21. BitShares will get a bump whenever the Steem price blows up but the problem remains with being able to get money in using a gateway. 22. Iconomi will drop as enthusiasm returns to normal. 23. Steem is my pick to have the very highest return potential out of the top 25 which is why I have all of my money there today. Steem will go to $10 within a day or a week but may drop or go up slow until the big spike comes in. Steem in a year has a good chance to be over $100 as speculators realize it is the only cryptocurrency with true mass adoption potential alongside Ethereum with corporate use. 25. Veritaseum I know nothing about and therefore predict a drop. How do I predict the prices of each coin? I look at the data for all cryptocurrencies past and future along with analysis inside the price of each one today combined with my qualitative experience using each one. I am pessimistic about the future of most of these digital currencies because the end user adoption is so low. This is the bottom line I use to determine each currency's value!
