Voči tomuto novému zámeru ministra zdravotníctva rozhodne dôveru necítim a nemyslím si, že to bude fungovať, tvrdí prezident Asociácie záchrannej zdravotnej služby Matej Polák. Reforma, ktorá sa ešte ani len nezačala, pritom už naráža na silný odpor samotných záchranárov, ktorý voči nej spustili rozsiahlu petíciu. Nič ešte nie je stratené, reforma sa dá zvrátiť, ubezpečuje Polák no varuje, že množstvo záchranárov zvažuje aj odchod do zahraničia.Pripomeňme, že sanitkový tender bol zrušený bez toho, aby zaň minister prebral akúkoľvek politickú zodpovednosť, ako i s veľkými otáznikmi o zákonnosti jeho stopnutia - čo potvrdzuje i vyše 30 správnych žalôb Generálneho prokurátora. Tentoraz si rezort zdravotníctva vybral ľahšiu cestu, centrálny celoslovenský tender by sa už proste opakovať nemal a štát sa rozhodol ísť po ceste posilnenia úlohy samotného štátu. Po novom rozdeľovanie staníc záchrannej služby zabezpečia nemocnice, ktoré disponujú urgentnými príjmami. Sanitky by tak napokon mali prevádzkovať samotné nemocnice alebo výber ich prevádzkovateľa si jednoducho lokálne vysúťažia.
