Paul Barry SSAS Specialist gives us an insight into the world of pensions for small to medium sized business owners. The Small Self Administered Scheme pension (SSAS) is a massive business tool, to help scale your business, save huge amounts of tax and extrapolate you wealth in the long term.Key takeaways:- SSAS pension can be set up for anyone who has a trading business- A SSAS puts the Entreprenuer in control of their own pension funds- You can make contributions to the pension and avoid paying Corp tax on those contributions- You can lend back up to 50% of SSAS funds to help the business grow.- Trading businesses can contruibute up to £500k of profits in one year (not the usual £60k pension contribution limit for an indivdual.- The SSAS can own commercial property and can rent it back to the business.
