WHAT A REINVENTION!! Wrong Turn Full Reaction Watch Along: / thereelrejects Visit https://huel.com/rejects to get 15% off your order Now that they've seen the first 6, Roxy Striar & Tara Erickson venture deeper into the Appalachian wilderness for their Wrong Turn 2021 Reaction, Breakdown, and Spoiler-Filled Review — the seventh installment in the long-running franchise, directed by Mike P. Nelson (The Domestics) and written by original series creator Alan B. McElroy (Halloween 4, Spawn). Ditching the inbred cannibals of earlier entries, this reinvention introduces a new threat: a secretive, self-sufficient cult called The Foundation. Charlotte Vega (The Lodgers, Warrior Nun) stars as Jen Shaw, a young woman who sets off on a hiking trip through the Appalachian Trail with her boyfriend Darius (Adain Bradley – The 100, All American) and their close-knit group of friends. What starts as an adventurous detour quickly spirals into a brutal fight for survival when the group encounters a deadly community living off the grid and abiding by ancient, merciless laws. Bill Sage (We Are What We Are, American Psycho) gives a chilling performance as John Venable, the cold-blooded leader of The Foundation. Also featured are Matthew Modine (Stranger Things, Full Metal Jacket) as Jen's father Scott Shaw, who launches a desperate search for his daughter, and Daisy Head (Shadow and Bone, Underworld: Blood Wars) as Edith, a high-ranking cult member. With harrowing traps, underground trials, and twisted moral dilemmas, the film reimagines the Wrong Turn formula with fresh brutality and thought-provoking questions about civilization versus survivalism. Iconic and highly searched scenes include the spiked log ambush, the courtroom execution sequence, and the shocking ending that takes place during the end credits. Join Roxy & Tara as they dig into the blood-soaked reinvention, dissect the film's major deviations from franchise tradition, and debate its place among modern horror reboots. Simon Barry (Warrior Nun, Continuum) returns to the YVR Screen Scene Podcast to discuss his latest series. Bet – 10 episodes of which dropped on Netflix in May 2025 – draws its inspiration from the manga Kakegurai – Compulsive Gambler. The series tells the story of Yumeko (portrayed by Miku Martineau), a young woman who enrols in an exclusive boarding school to avenge the murder of her parents. This exclusive boarding school ain't Hogwarts: it's a cutthroat academy run by a powerful Student Council whose power structure is entirely based on gambling. Yumeko's prowess at gambling and her overarching revenge quest put her in the crosshairs of the Student Council and its formidable president, Kira – leading to a showdown that is both high-octane and deeply satisfying.Bet is at once a breath of fresh air and exactly what we've come to expect from Simon Barry: a wildly entertaining adventure set in an unexpected world about a whip-smart woman on a seemingly impossible quest. In this fascinating interview, Simon discusses his journey with Bet, what Miku Martineau brought to the pivotal role of Yumeko, his thoughts on AI, collaborating with director Jacquie Gould (Outlander, Obi-Wan Kenobi), Dennis Heaton's brain, and what he learned from Warrior Nun and its fans.Episode sponsor: Directors Guild Of Canada, BC District Council
Today, we're taking a wild ride with Warrior Nun Areala vs Razor, a 90s comic that's as over-the-top as the Bad Girl art movement itself. With gratuitous action, exaggerated characters, and the completely random bonus of a polybagged CD soundtrack, this is all about style over substance. ----more---- For the transcript of this episode, head over to https://www.tencenttakes.com/transcripts. Not all weddings are cause for celebration. At least not for Aricia, who is dealing with the news that her perfectly-torsoed future husband Chris Evans just tied the knot with someone else. The “Captain America” star married “Warrior Nun” actor Alba Baptista over the weekend in a private ceremony at their Cape Cod home, surrounded by family, friends and - of course - a few Marvel superheroes. The news is a bit shocking because we didn't even know they were engaged. So Richies, please keep Aricia in your thoughts during this very difficult time.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for Information about all your favorite fictional universes In a surprising move, the Ahsoka live-action series two episode premiere was moved from Wednesday, August 23, to, well, pretty much right now - August 22 at 6:00 p.m. pacific time. Disney has been pushing this show with tv spots, trailers, ads, interviews, and more in a way that feels more intentional than some of their previous properties. Beloved young adult book series Percy Jackson and the Olympians is coming to Disney Plus this December! The media megazoid released a trailer on Monday to hype the two episodes premiere starting December 20. The Percy Jackson books are beloved by fans worldwide, but this release has been kept fairly quiet until now. With Blue Beetle in theaters, and beating Barbie out of its four-week top spot domination, fans of DC have been overwhelmingly positive about the new superhero movie featuring relatively unknown hero Jaime Reyes as Blue Beetle, portrayed by Cobra Kai actor Xolo Mariduena. Its fellow hero movie The Flash, will premiere on MAX next week. There was a lot of talk about comparing the two movies, but Blue Beetle seems to be distinguishing itself as fresh. And of course - we have James Gunn news! Taking to Threads to respond to a fan who asked about his upcoming 'young Superman movie,' Gunn responded "I was never making a 'young Superman' movie, just a Superman movie.' This seems to contrast a statement Gunn made online in December on the recast of Superman which read "in the initial stages, our story will be focusing on an earlier part in Superman's life, so the character will not be played by Henry Cavill." Apple TV+ has revealed details and some photos of its upcoming series Monarch: Legacy of Monsters. The series will continue Legendary's Monsterverse and will take place in the past and the present after the events of 2014's Godzilla. Kurt Russell and his son Wyatt Russell will play the same character, but an older and younger version of him respectively in flashbacks. Netflix has released the first trailer of the upcoming anime series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off. The series returns most of the cast of 2010's Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in voice acting roles and will debut on November 17th. The fantasy series Warrior Nun, which was canceled by Netflix after 2 seasons, is set to return as a trilogy of films. The series had been the subject of a strong fan campaign to revive the show after its cancellation. Amid the ongoing Hollywood strikes, Amazon canceled previously planned second seasons of two shows - A League of Their Own and sci-fi series The Peripheral. Blue Beetle barely dethroned Barbie for the number one spot in the domestic box office this weekend, despite pulling in a lighter than expected $25.4 million domestically and $43 million dollars globally. The film is one of the softest starts in the history of the DC cinematic universe. Disney has announced that several series previously available only on Disney+ will be available for physical purchase including The Mandalorian, Loki, and WandaVision. The physical media will include a blu-ray set and extra features including special making of clips, gag reels, and concept art. The titles will be available for preorder beginning August 28th. Kenan Thompson and Kel Mitchell reunited in the first trailer for Good Burger 2. The first Good Burger movie premiered on Nickelodeon in 1997 and was a spin-off from Thompson and Mitchell's sketch routine on All That. Zach Snyder's Rebel Moon released its first trailer today as well. The Netflix sci-fi film stars Sofia Boutella, Charlie Hunnum, Djimon Hounsou, and Carey Elwes among others. We'll see a princess try to stop a war, space ships, lasers, and aliens in Snyder's concept that was originally pitched to Star Wars prior to the Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm.

Tangelene Bolton is a Filipina-American film, TV, and media composer based in Los Angeles, CA. She first got her start working for A-list composers Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Gladiator, The Dark Knight, Interstellar), Henry Jackman (X-Men, Captain America), and Bobby Tahouri (Game of Thrones, Iron Man). A Berklee College of Music Film Scoring graduate, Tangelene's distinct music style is a mashup of Neoclassical, electronic, folk, and jazz. She boldly turns classic and traditional sounds into exciting and new territories. Tangelene composed the music for the highly-anticipated second season of the Netflix original series Warrior Nun. The series, created and executive produced by Simon Barry (Continuum, Bad Blood, Ghost Wars, Van Helsing), follows an orphaned teen who wakes up in a morgue and discovers she has super powers as the chosen Halo Bearer for a secret sect of demon-hunting nuns. All episodes of Warrior Nun Season 2 are currently streaming on Netflix, and Tangelene's original soundtrack album is available on all major music streaming platforms. To open we reminisce on our journey of making 100 eps of TLSI (for all friends the intro lasts till 00:29)! Then we celebrate by breaking down the action-packed, but emotional Warrior Nun finale. For Ava, the fate of the world is at stake as she struggles to find a way to take Adriel down and protect her friends. For Beatrice, the fate of Ava is at stake and she is forced to face losing her world.

Ava fully comes into her own as the Halo Bearer and takes charge in their mission to bring Adriel down, while Beatrice struggles accepting the weight the Warrior Nun must bear. Elsewhere: Adriel and his hoard of creepy priests make a move against Duretti and the Church, Camila confronts Adriel, Lilith embraces her true nature, and Mother Superion is a boss bitch.
It's time for a museum heist! Ava and Beatrice meet up with Mother Superion and Camila in the hopes of securing a secret weapon to defeat Adriel. Our heroes get separated during the mission and Ava's on a quest to learn more about Adriel while Beatrice is on a quest to find Ava.
Season 2 picks up with Avatrice undercover in Switzerland and we start to learn there's more they're hiding than just their identities. There's dancing (pining), jealousy, badassery, and obviously a whole lot of heart as we start building up for the fight against Adriel. We hope you enjoy our last conversation about Warrior Nun before news of the cancellation dropped and of course #SaveWarriorNun
We have a jam packed episode! Indiana Jones trailer talk, we discuss Willow (have you heard it's got some queerness floating around?) and we choose our favorite queer moments in Warrior Nun Season 2!
