“I hated white people,” says King Randall, founder of the X for Boys in Albany, Georgia. Now, Randall has totally changed his mind and is rejecting victimhood and the mainstream narratives surrounding race in America. After the 2016 election, it seemed to him like the “world was about to end,” but this election season, Randall made waves after Elon Musk shared Randall's viral video detailing the hate he received from Democrats after posting a video claiming he is voting for Trump. “You may not be worried about politics,” Randall says. “But politics is worried about you.” That is why Randall is on a mission, not to “fix the world” but to “fix Albany, Georgia” — his hometown. Inspired by the book of Genesis, King sees himself as a partner with God in the good work of “making men” out of the boys in his community. He reveals to Glenn what he thinks is “actual white supremacy” and how the Twitter Files exposed how technocrats “effectively control everyone's minds.” With injustices like slavery and Jim Crow, Randall knows his “ancestors went through hell,” but now it's his generation's turn to step up, because the civil rights leaders “didn't train replacements.” The pair discuss faith and the apostle Paul “going gangsta,” before Glenn shares his thoughts that Gen Z just may be the “hero generation.” Sponsors Homestead Pre-order your tickets for Homestead at https://Angel.com/BECK. Turning Point USA founder and conservative firebrand Charlie Kirk joins “Fearless” to discuss his recent comments that sparked controversy across the media. Kirk recently ran afoul of self-appointed gatekeeper of black Americans Roland Martin over a tweet critical of Central Park 5 “exoneree” Yusef Salaam. Still, it was Charlie's comments on Dr. Martin Luther King that have made him the target of both liberal and conservative pundits. Jason says that Kirk's comments should be the starting point for an honest conversation about MLK and the negative effects of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. “If the Civil Rights Act is Dr. King's achievement and Thomas Jefferson's achievement is the Constitution … look at the fruit that [the Constitution] produced. It was the justification for ending slavery, Jim Crow laws, and segregation. ... If the Civil Rights Act produced same-sex marriage, I got some questions about the Civil Rights Act.” King Randall, the founder of the Life Preparatory School for Boys, joins Jason to discuss the recent social media storm that rained down on him after an attempt to teach the boys proper table etiquette was framed by critics as teaching the kids “how to be white.” If you'd like to support King Randall and his Life Prepatory School for Boys, please visit them online at https://thexforboys.org/. King founded the X for Boys Program in 2019, the only rehabilitative program for juvenile offenders in South Georgia. In August 2022 he opened the doors to his most ambitious project, The Life Preparatory School for Boys, the first free all boys boarding school in South Georgia. Bettering The World By Being The Change You Want To SeeAnyone who's listened to the DTH podcast for long has probably heard me mention the quote "be the change you want to see in the world". This carries profound meaning in relation to another topic I speak of often, the perpetual victim mentality. Too often, individuals perceive themselves as helpless victims of external circumstances, attributing their struggles solely to external forces beyond their control. What happens when one chooses to fully embrace the essence of the quote, challenges that perception, and helps to empower individuals to take ownership of their actions and attitudes? This shift in mindset fosters a sense of agency, resilience, and hope. This is one of the reasons I'm so passionate about doing the Derate the Hate podcast and having the conversations I'm blessed to have. This is why I like to find guests who are bettering the world by being the change they want to see. Who is King Randall, IKing Randall, I is a 23 year old native of Albany, GA. Seeing a need to help enhance and advance the lives of the young men in his community, he set out to take action to combat the high poverty and crime rates in the southwest Georgia city. In doing so, King founded “The X for Boys, Life Preparatory School” and its related programs. The Life Preparatory School for Boys is a 501(c)3 charitable organization with a mission to teach boys the true meaning of manhood & to be protectors and providers for their communities. Unfortunately, not all see the merit in what King is doing, or how he is doing it, and in true keyboard warrior fashion, take to social media to attack his efforts. King, however, is not deterred and keeps up his mission to better the world by being the change he wants to see.Learn more and connect with King Randall, I by checking out the full show notes for this episode at DerateTheHate.com.What have you done today to make your life a better life? Jason has issues with the new Tupac Shakur documentary “Dear Mama." The Hulu series tells a revisionist story that pays tribute to Tupac's mother, Afeni, celebrates the matriarchy, and glorifies the Black Panther movement. “Fearless” contributors Shemeka Michelle and Bryson Gray join the show to provide pushback over the documentary's motives. Plus, the trio discuss Lizzo's recent protest of a proposed Tennessee law that would make it illegal for drag queens to perform in front of minors. Why are liberals so insistent that grown men dressed as women have access to your children? King Randall is the founder of the X for Boys and the Life Preparatory School. He recently sparked controversy when he asked his students how a former slave like Booker T. Washington could teach himself how to read and develop an extensive vocabulary, while modern students struggle. Randall joins Jason to discuss his viral moment. Recently Jason stumbled across a Ted Talk that sparked his interest. A Florida pastor with a unique background used the platform to bravely tackle the topic of rap music and the apathy toward black-on-black murder. Pastor Mike Smith joins Jason to share his story and why the issue is personal to him. At 23 years old, King Randall has accomplished more to impact change in his community than the prominent black social justice warriors of our time. Randall operates the Life Preparatory School for Boys. It's a free boarding school for at-risk youth in his hometown of Albany, Georgia. Its mission is to provide an education and discipline to the students and turn out young men ready to make a difference in their communities. He recently took to Twitter to call out all weak black men. “Speaking at schools, 'mentoring' on podcasts etc. will never ever do anything serious. Be serious here. THE THESIS: The Party demands and rewards a certain type of racism and they will erase even the most brilliant, effective helpers of “minorities” if they fail to practice this “virtuous” racism. THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES: The Body of Christ is not to be divided. To do so is like crucifying The Lord Jesus againGalatians 3:2828 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.Jesus paid little attention to tribal and “racial” differences. So many of us talk a big game when it comes to helping future generations of boys become the men their families, friends, and communities need them to be. And, yet, so few are willing to do much about it other than cleverly-crafted platitudes. My guest today is different. His name is King Randall and he is a man that is actually doing something about leading in his community and helping the young men who don't have the same opportunities that many of us did. Today, we talk about what it takes to build a prep school for boys, the motto and mission of, “Let us Make Men,” how he got over asking for money and what it looks like to build a 501c3 organization, the pros and cons of being young, and how it's character that makes the man. SHOW HIGHLIGHTS: Focusing on consistency and transparency Receiving pushback from the start Advantages and disadvantages of building an organization at a young age Teaching kids how to use social media as a business tool, not entertainment Private funding vs. government funding Training boys in non-traditional skills and sports Want maximum health, wealth, relationships, and abundance in your life? THE THESIS: This school will do more to help young people than anyone in the White House will ever think of doing. THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES: Proverbs 22:9 9 The generous will themselves be blessed, for they share their food with the poor. Ephesians 4:28 28 Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. 2 Thessalonians 3:10 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.” Luke 12:47-49 47 “The servant who knows the master's will and does not get ready or does not do what the master wants will be beaten with many blows. 48 But the one who does not know and does things deserving punishment will be beaten with few blows. From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked. My wife, who passed away about seven years ago, when she was in the hospital and when I would not spend the night with her but with our little boy at home, her dad would spend the night in my place and at the time I thought that was a little weird. This is why when we see someone as young and energetic as King Randall doing what he's doing with The X For Boys program, we can't help but take notice. With The X For Boys, Randall is not just offering a solution with his words, but materializing that solution by literally putting his money where his mouth is. King Randall is a 21 year old Marine vet who saw a problem in his community in Georgia and decided to fix it. So he started The "X" for Boys, a program dedicated to helping at-risk Black boys in his community by teaching them vocational skills and getting them out of unsafe environments and into his organization's custody. Many of these kids were in abusive homes, homeless shelters, or juvenile detention. The X's philosophy of "do for self" instills in these boys a sense of independence and belonging, and teaches them the skills to thrive and prosper. King is reclaiming children from a system that wants them desperate and subjugated. And guess who's trying to stop The X from helping even more kids? If you guessed the government, you'd be correct. Frederick Douglass said that “It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men.” There's a young man in Albany, Georgia that I've been watching rise for about a year now. His name is King Randall and he lives up to his name. At the young age of 21, he is making moves in the black community that even his community doesn't believe could be possible. He is building something that began as a dream in his own home to a fully functioning boarding school for young men, focusing on self-sufficiency, accountability, literacy, and marketable skills. In his community, in dire need of strong leadership, he is leading the way in building strong men and minds. They are currently working on outfitting their new physical building, developing the curriculum and reviewing applications to accept 400 students. I am so grateful that he took the time to share his story, his vision and to speak with me on empowerment. King is the real deal and he is doing the hard work. I want to be more like King. This is truly one of the most inspirational stories we have had the privilege of sharing. King Randall is the founder of “The X for Boys”, an organization dedicated to molding young boys into real leaders in their community. At the young age of 19, King Randall started mentoring young teenage boys on the fundamentals of manhood, in his own community of Albany, GA. Starting with a basic class on changing car oil, The X for Boys is now looking to start a boarding school to further the education of masculinity in a time where masculinity is under attack. You're not going to want to miss this interview with the former Marine giving back to his community and making great strides in the lives of these young men. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app
