Fran McCaffery is the new head coach of the men's basketball team at the University of Pennsylvania. This opportunity is a homecoming for the La Salle College High School product, who was a standout player for the Quakers. He has enjoyed tremendous success as a head coach, winning 548 games during stops at Lehigh, UNC Greensboro, Siena and Iowa. There is a new home run king on Hawk Hill. Saint Joseph's University senior catcher Andrew Cossetti, a La Salle College High School product, recently hit his 31st career home run to set the program's all-time record, breaking the mark set by John Brue in 2016. Cossetti hit three home runs in a double header sweep of Radford this past Friday with the first homer in the first game tying the mark and then a two-run shot in the 1st inning of the second game giving him the record. Matt Leon caught up with Cossetti to talk about the record breaking swing and his career with the Hawks.

The quest for players is never done and the Penn State's football program has quite the list of offers out to talent around the state and region for the upcoming recruiting classes. Rivals recruiting insider Ryan Snyder joins joins host and prospect analyst Thomas Frank Carr to tell you which games to pay attention to this weekend. They start in Harrisburg with a clash of La Salle College High School and Bishop McDevitt to see commit for the class of 2022, Linebacker Abdul Carter face off against a trio of prospects for future classes. From there he takes us to Central Dauphin East vs Manheim Township to see two Penn State commits in the class of 2022 square off in the secondary at receiver and safety. The final in-state game he highlights is Imhotep Charter vs Pittsburgh Central Catholic which has a laundry list of commits and prospects to pay attention to. In this brand new interview, Matt sits down with the legendary lacrosse coach Bill Leahy, who founded La Salle College High School's lacrosse program in 1992, has produced some of the best players in the game, and won an incredible amount of championships. In his 28 seasons as head coach of La Salle, he coached 250-All Catholic players (basically all-conference), 11 Catholic League MVPs, 5 Under Armour All-Americans, and 1 Tewaarton Award winner (the lacrosse version of the Heisman Trophy) while winning 5 state championships, a gold medal with the USA U19 team, 23 Catholic League titles, and racking up over 500 career wins. The Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo have been postponed. For some of the athletes who have been training for months or years for the chance to compete, postponing the Olympics means another year of work. For others, it means that some windows that were open this summer might not be open next year. On this episode of KYW In Depth, Matt Leon reaches out to athletes in the Philadelphia area who have been trying to make Olympic teams. Nathan Gillis is a fifth-year senior at La Salle University. He has been training in hopes of qualifying for the 2020 Summer Olympics to represent his home country of Great Britain in the 800 meter and/or 1600 meter track events. Tyler Nase is a rower who took part in the 2016 Olympics and has been working to qualify for 2020. He is a La Salle College High School product and an assistant rowing coach at the University of Pennsylvania.
