Woah. That's all most people have to say about this episode. It hits all the trigger points for so many emotions. Anaking Skywalker is back. Hayden Christensen is back to play him. And it's the first time we've ever seen Ahsoka and Anakin on screen together in live action. No one thought this would ever happen or even be possible. But here we are. And we have so many questions...theories...ideas....but are we over thinking it and going too deep? And there is Marrok. No one was correct with his identity. He's a nobody. And he's gone. Are we disappointed in his not so big reveal? This episode is just too big to discuss in this blog post, so dive in with us as we explore all it had on display. Send in your thoughts to the show! Moments later, they are attacked by several of Skoll's forces, but are able to quickly dispatch them. Fearing that Skoll will acquire the coordinates to Thrawn's location, Ahsoka and Wren head to his base but are intercepted by Hati and Marrok. After Thrawn's location is revealed, Skoll destroys the map and boards the Eye of Sion with Hati and Wren as their prisoner. A squadron of New Republic fighters, led by Syndulla, arrives at Seatos and tries to stop the freighter from jumping into hyperspace, but fails to do so. Meanwhile, Ahsoka awakens in the "World Between Worlds", where she is seemingly reunited with her former Master. In the Ahsoka show, it seems Dave Filoni's affinity with Wolves has either caused a very odd coincidence or there's much more to it about Baylan Skoll Shin Hati and Marrok...and perhaps Elsbeth the nightsister witch. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Ahsoka doesn't have to be serious to be a good show. I mean, the character sure has been acting serious and crossing her arms a lot, but Star Wars fans don't need everything to make perfect sense to enjoy it. It sure would help if the writing of the show was top level. What will be next for the show? That's hard to guess. Will Hera enlist a pirate or Maz Kanata since the Senate is so stingy? Will Ahsoka wipe out these "other" Jedi or will there be no finale to the fighting? Is discovering Thrawn the only endgame and where the last episode will leave us or is there a story brewing? Is all this a set up for Filoni's movie? Baylan remains the most interesting man in the galaxy and that's with masked Marrok in the picture. Huyang seems to have copied all the Jedi knowledge into some external hard drives. Oh, watch out for the star whales! This is the Way Podcast's coverage continues next week with Part IV, releasing again on a Tuesday night, but hey, first enjoy Part III, will ya? Welcome to another riveting episode of FATHER.SON.GALAXY. In this installment, we delve into the heart of "Ahsoka Episode Three: Time to Fly." Ahsoka and Sabine's training takes center stage, as the classic visor and the wisdom of "trust your instincts" guide them on their journey.Hera enters the political arena, contacting the Senate for mission approval. However, her interactions with the senators reveal a deeper conflict, with Mon Mothma appearing to delegate the responsibility. Hera's poignant question, "Did you ever fight in the war?" echoes in the chamber.Sabine's attempt to harness the Force unfolds, resulting in failure. Hera, unable to approve the mission, leaves Ahsoka, Sabine, and Huyang to chart their own course. Meanwhile, Shin, Marrok, and a fleet deploy to stop our heroes, but they prove unstoppable.Ahsoka's spacewalk, reminiscent of Leia Organa's iconic moment, becomes a pivotal part of the action.Next, we ponder the question of who is qualified to train in the ways of the Force. The Force resides in all living things, as Kanan and Ahsoka have taught us, but hereditary force sensitivity may not guarantee strength. With no other Force sensibilities in her family, Sabine's path to Jedi training is a unique one.Huyang, the voice of reason, steps in to train Sabine in various forms, mirroring Kanan's training of Sabine with the Darksaber. Is Sabine perhaps the most challenging Jedi trainee? Ahsoka's response, "It does not matter," invites us to consider the Jedi standards and their limitations.Jacen Syndulla's desire to become a Jedi is explored, rooted in his father Kanan Jarrus's strong Force sensitivity. Yet, Hera, his mother, remains hesitant. Our discussion then turns to the Senate, featuring Chancellor Mothma and Senator Xiono. The Senate Committee's rejection of the idea to allocate resources in the search for Thrawn highlights the political challenges faced by the New Republic and the Resistance. As our heroes inch closer to their destination, we encounter a hyperspace ring in construction, potentially capable of galactic exploration. Ahsoka's ship faces destruction but is quickly repaired, and a daring spacewalk ensues. The enigmatic Purrgils make a striking appearance, adding to the intrigue. The episode concludes with Ahsoka's ship landing on an unknown planet, where Skoll and his team prepare to track them down.OUR SOCIALS:We are featured on STARWARS.com! With last night's episode of Ahsoka (ep 3) we hear Marrok speak for the first time. I really think this character is heavily inspired by Galen Marek in The force unleashed and that we are about to get Vader's apprentice. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Baylan Skoll had a master once at the Jedi Temple...I believe it was Plo Koon, who also found Ahsoka Tano and was very close with her. I think Baylan holds feelings for Ahsoka and this is why he is conflicted with engaging with her in lightsaber combat. He had reservations when sending the KH droids after Ahsoka in the forest with Sabine in Episode 3 after Marrok and Shin Hati couldn't find her. Plo Koon would make sense! I wonder if it's him! Saber training, an epic space battle, and purrgil oh my! This episode of Ahsoka may be remembered for it's epic space battle sequence but the third episode continues to explore the idea that the Force resides in everyone, we just have to quite our mind and find the discipline to wield it no matter our talent level. But training and contemplation are cut short as Ahsoka, Sabine and Huyang make their way to Seatos while Morgan Elsbeth's hired mercenaries are in hot pursuit. Meanwhile, Hera tries to get approval from the New Republic Senate Committee to investigate the Denab system to find further proof that Thrawn is alive and attempting to return. Frank, Brandon and Kevin discuss all this as well as dive into some Marrok theories and speculate on a bevy of other topics. Ahsoka's first episode set a tone and the second continued the theme. She's looking for Thrawn...oh, and Ezra, too. Hera and Sabine couldn't care less about the bad guys. They just want their friend back. Huyang is trying to preserve his circuitry while Chopper cares very little for collateral damage on Corellia. Baylan seems like the most interesting man in the galaxy and that's based on more than looks. Elsbeth dips her finger into witchcraft in the episode and Marrok shows off HIS lightsaber training. It certainly doesn't look anything like what he might have learned from Kanan. Maybe Thrawn? Then again, how would HE be able to get back, but Thrawn be in "exile" as Elsbeth puts it? The real problem (so far) continues to be Filoni's decision to make Sabine force sensitive at all. There is a way to do it and the way he chose to do it makes no sense based on every single character development she went through in Rebels. He has six more episodes to make it make sense. Somewhere, Dickey (David Cross) visits a friend, Lonnie (Kevin Anderson), hiring him to take back the painting that Mansell (Boyd Holbrook) took from his house. Mansell and Sweety (Vondie Curtis-Hall) meet at a parking garage with another person in the book. However, the man only has $12,000 instead of the $15,000 they asked. When Mansell rams his car, the man flees and accidentally falls off the building to his death. Raylan talks to Downey (Marin Ireland) about getting to know about the book, with Downey correctly deducing he slept with Carolyn. They meet with prosecutor Diane (Regina Taylor), blackmailing her into working with them. As her name is in the book, she will be part of a trap set for Mansell and Sweety, or she will be exposed for taking bribes. Lonnie arrives at Sweety's Tavern, forcing Sweety to leave Mansell's penthouse to meet him. Their meeting is interrupted when Sweety is called by Diane, who offers $30,000 to get her name removed from the book, agreeing to meet later. Sweety also gives up Mansell's name to Lonnie, instructing him that Mansell must be killed while Sweety himself gets the painting for him. Sweety tricks Mansell into going to the meeting alone, although Sandy (Adelaide Clemens) is revealed to have taken the painting to sell it. Justified: City Primeval (Episode 7) Out of 5 Slippery Oklahoma Mad Mans Darryl: 3.2/5 Brian: 3.23/5 Title: "The Smoking Gun" Directed by: Katrelle Kindred Written by: Dave Andron & Michael Dinner Aired: August 22, 2023 U.S. Viewers: 5,900,000 Summary: In 1988, Sweety (Vondie Curtis-Hall) plays with his band at a nightclub. Sweety is also revealed to be taking care of a young Carolyn, after promising her dying father to do so. He takes her to a dilapidated bar, planning to reconstruct it and turn it into a new tavern for him. In the present day, Carolyn (Aunjanue Ellis) sees an ambulance take Sweety's body away from the destroyed tavern. She and Raylan (Timothy Olyphant) visit a grieving Trennell (Joseph Anthony Byrd), who confesses to having taken Sweety's gun off the jukebox. Raylan then visits Sandy (Adelaide Clemens), who refuses to testify against Mansell (Boyd Holbrook). However, she is shocked when Raylan informs her that they found the gun that Mansell used to kill the Judge, Rose, and Sweety, with Sandy unaware of the latter's death. Sandy decides to visit Skender (Alexander Pobutsky) at the hospital to reconcile, but panics once he calls her "a dead woman." Carolyn arrives home to find Mansell waiting for her. He starts talking about his childhood in Oklahoma, partly about how his mother had sex with many men from the Glenn Pool Oil Reserve. Angry, he waited until a man left and killed his mother. He also points out that his story may be false, suggesting his mother actually died in a tornado. She threatens to back off as her lawyer, but he holds her at gunpoint. The following day, Raylan finds that Downey (Marin Ireland) is actually in Mansell's book, which explains why she allowed him to go. Bryl (Norbert Leo Butz) also admits to Raylan that he has framed criminals due to insufficient evidence, but he also provides him with Mansell's murder weapon. Ahsoka and Huyang obtain a star map to the location of Grand Admiral Thrawn and potentially Ezra Bridger before being informed of Lady Elsbeth's escape. Regrouping with the fleet, Ahsoka meets with General Hera Syndulla, whereupon Huyang reveals that the star map is still locked. Syndulla advises Ahsoka to obtain Sabine Wren's help unlocking the map. Just as Wren opens the map, she is confronted by Shin, who steals the map and stabs Wren during a duel. After arresting the shipyard workers as spies for the Empire, Ahsoka is contacted by Wren who is ready to become her Padawan again and find Bridger. Elsbeth is contacted by Skoll, Hati, and Marrok who obtained the hyperdrive so they can finish building her ship, the Eye of Sion, and find Admiral Thrawn. Infamous Shirts for Naked Bodies... This second episode was awesome! We have a new galaxy to explore in Star Wars with new villains and powers beyond the Jedi and Sith. Baylan says that galaxy, Peridea has power that we have never seen before. I believe this is a galaxy with a new set of rules. New people. New powers. Powers beyond the force, perhaps Magic. I think it's absolutely brilliant how Dave has created another galaxy, many of them in fact, and is introducing new civilizations that make even Baylan, a powerful Jedi who survived Order 66, amazed. Ahsoka and Hera observe the hyperdrives being dismantled on Corellia to be repurposed to the New Republic, as they learn that ex Imperials work for the new republic, still on pay roll. They were never fired, they all kept their same job just no longer under the Empire. They talk about Sabine becoming Ahsoka's apprentice again, and Ahsoka is reluctant. A medical droid attends to Sabine's wounds, this is the same class of droid that worked on Anakin as he transformed into Darth Vader. Huyang walks in and tells Sabine that Ezra's lightsaber is actually now hers because she has modified it to her liking. He hands it to her after some encouraging words, and she is going to get serious now instead of being such a rebellious brat. We learn that these dismantled imperial fleet ships when sold are profitable to fund many different republic projects among other things. As Hera notices the hyperdrive core outside being built, they're told 9 have been built. This core is WAY too big to be used for any new republic ship. The information is classified and General Hera Syndulla is being denied. Ahsoka asks about the HK assassin droids that could be repurposed here, as they learn a droid of this class does exist here, currently departing on that transport. The traitorous workers scream FOR THE EMPIRE and attack Ahsoka and Hera, as Hera races for the Ghost and Ahsoka jumps out the window facing Marrok. The inquisitor loyal to Baylan it seems, as he holds a red lightsaber. They fight as Hera chases the hyperdrive core being transported. Chopper tries to find the tracker, as he throws a literal big LEGO piece out, finally finding the tracker. This is hilarious. Marrock can't take Ahsoka and ends up running away to his or her ship. I have no clue who this is. It could be Barris Offee I think, but I don't know. Ashoka dodges his lightsaber as it returns to him, she's in control of all emotions and can sense everything. She's very samurai. Very one with the force. Sabine heads back home, lays her Mandalorian armor out like a Samurai, kneels before it which is very ritual like, and cuts her hair. The imperial loyalists on Corellia are arrested. Also, for a fun fact, Corellia is where Han Solo was raised. Sabine sends a holo to Ahsoka of her in armor. She's ready. We're now at the very end of Rebels where she dawns the armor, observing the mural of the ghost crew, touching Ezra's face, turning to see Ahsoka there to pick her up. We're now all caught up and ready to find Ezra…and…THRAWN. Huyang informs them Hera Syndulla has tracked the ship, they're in Denab system, in orbit around the planet Seatos. As the hyperdrive cores are being put together, we can see this is HUGE. Clearly something big enough for a massive ship to be launched into hyperspace…or perhaps…open a portal using the power of the hyperdrive cores. Learn more about your ad choices.
