That means uncovering the root cause of the present-day behavior and emotions you want to change or release; they always stem from a past event - often in childhood. The event creates unresolved emotions and subconscious beliefs which hold you back or lead to self-sabotage or failed relationships, shame, guilt, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and so forth. 1. What do you mean when you say you help set people free from the past? 2. What is the one core issue everyone has? 3. Why don't anti-depressants and traditional therapy/counseling work? 4. You say that crying and reliving the pain don't heal you - but we often feel better when we cry or have a cathartic experience? 5. What do you believe is the biggest issue for women in midlife and how do you help? 6. At some point in life—probably when we're just old enough to understand the concept of goals and achieving them—we're taught that happiness is something to strive for. And that it's tied up in the milestones of life—getting that promotion, making a lot of money, graduating from school or getting married. The problem is, this notion of happiness becomes a constant chase and we're always moving the target, says human behaviour expert Patrick Wanis, PhD. “We place our happiness somewhere off in the future and therefore we're never able to enjoy where we are now because we're always thinking we're only going to be happy when we get to be, do, or have something.”Seeking happiness is personally motivated because we believe that getting something we want will make us feel better. Just like in this week's story about how people were frantically search for their balloons. And when they began to handover their randomly picked balloons to the rightful owner, they all made progress and found happiness. When we seek meaning, we focus on what we can give, rather than get. We seek to make a contribution to the greater good in ways that help us feel fulfilled. Genuine happiness comes from having done the hard work of going inside ourselves with the curiosity and compassion that allows us to develop self-acceptance and genuine relationships with others. The hunt for happiness doesn't need to involve chasing after something; it's more about seeing what's already here and learning to appreciate by trying different kinds of mindfulness strategies.Have a Happy Life!

In this podcast, we're going to look at money anxiety. Angela shares some thoughts about the new economy based on sharing and caring about yourself and others which can help relieve tension and look at money from a collaborative and self-value-affirming perspective. During the pandemic, many of us stopped work, school, living the way we lived. Discovered many activities at home, which were things we used to do before life got busy, such as cooking, baking, making craft, making music, art, home-based exercise, journaling, talking to people, playing cards, etc. And many people realized they were working and living in a way they didn't like. Patti's workbook the 21 Days to Optimal Work-Life Balance. Angela talked about The Stanford Social Innovation Review (SSIR) has an article on The Vision of a Well-Being Economy, which shares how “We must shift how we understand and build societal health and prosperity, looking beyond economic growth to collective well-being and environmental sustainability.” Patti discussed - When negative thoughts or emotions enter your mind, you can allow them and redirect them. The trouble with worrying about money and work can consume you, but having strategies can relieve the anxiety. Spend some time in meditation to calm your thoughts. Listen to upbeat music to manage anxiety and manifest money. Pray about the situation for guidance and peace. Journal about the problem which is causing the worry. Go for a walk, the gym, bicycle ride, yoga or fitness classes or any type of exercise. Repeat positive affirmations. Hire a financial coach to help develop a healthy money mindset and reasonable financial goals. Angela shares about Sondra Ray and Leonard Orr's book Rebirthing in the New Age. It is hard to get a copy of it now.
