About Rhiannon Neuharth: Rhiannon is a Certified Functional Nutrition Counselor, Board Certified Health Coach with the American Association of Natural Wellness Coaches and a Board-Certified member of the American Association of Drugless Practitioners. She began her journey in functional nutrition after struggling to maintain her chronically ill child's health with antibiotics. Exhausted and overwhelmed, she delved into research, eventually finding her passion in supporting others on the path to optimal health and wellness. With a focus on individuals with MTHFR, Rhiannon provides simple solutions to optimized wellness in just 90 days, without spending endless hours on Google. What We Discuss In This Episode: Rhiannon shares how her youngest child's autoimmune deficiency and chronic illness led her to discover MTHFR, a genetic variation that affects the body's ability to process folate and other key nutrients. This sparked her passion for functional nutrition and supporting others with MTHFR-related health challenges. What is MTHFR and how does it impact our health? MTHFR stands for methylene tetrahydrofolate reductase, a gene that plays a crucial role in converting folate and homocysteine. Rhiannon explains how MTHFR variations can contribute to a wide range of issues like hormone imbalances, weight problems, fatigue, ADHD, autism, and autoimmune conditions - regardless of age. Strategies for managing MTHFR and supporting overall health Rhiannon discusses the role of diet, lifestyle, stress management, and nervous system regulation in supporting those with MTHFR. She highlights the importance of gut health, hormone balance, and addressing nutrient deficiencies through targeted supplementation. The importance of comprehensive testing Rhiannon emphasizes the need for comprehensive genetic testing that looks at 165 genes, rather than just one or two. This provides a clear action plan and insights into the root causes of a person's symptoms. She contrasts this with typical doctor-testing that may miss key factors. Esther is also a boy mom and Navy wife who has lived and traveled all over the world while running her EA Coaching. What We Discuss In This Episode: Unique Challenges for Menopausal Women: Esther explains that while there are physiological changes that occur during menopause, the bigger challenge is often the mindset and beliefs that women have been conditioned to accept about this stage of life. She emphasizes that weight gain and other symptoms are not inevitable, and that lifestyle choices can make a big difference in managing these changes. The key is being willing to try different approaches and listen to your body. Navigating Alcohol and Carbs: Esther discusses the relationship between alcohol and weight/health goals, noting that while it doesn't have to be eliminated completely, it's important to be mindful of how much and when you consume it. With carbs, she recommends prioritizing them around workouts and focusing on nutrient-dense carb sources rather than processed, high-calorie options. Overlooked Aspects of Health: Esther highlights the importance of prioritizing sleep and mental/emotional well-being, as these factors have a big impact on energy, mood, and overall health. She encourages listeners to take a few minutes to reflect on one small change they could make in their routine to start improving in these areas. Sexual vitality is an important indicator of your overall health. Her focus is on root-cause medicine and all-natural solutions that have NO side effects. My mission is to keep people out of hospitals and off prescription medications. What We Discuss In This Episode: Dr. Sarah Doyle emphasizes the importance of comprehensive hormone testing for women over 40—going beyond standard blood tests to include urine panels that measure hormone metabolites like estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. This deeper analysis helps identify imbalances more accurately, allowing for targeted, effective treatment plans. During perimenopause and menopause, hormonal shifts can trigger symptoms such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, and joint or muscle pain. Rather than relying on prescription medications, Dr. Sarah takes a natural approach, using supplements and herbs to restore balance and alleviate these symptoms. She also highlights how nutrient deficiencies and gut dysbiosis can worsen hormonal and neurological issues as women age. To combat this, she recommends a nutrient-dense diet, targeted supplementation, and resetting the gut microbiome to support overall well-being. Dr. Sarah's signature 'Seven X Method' focuses on aligning food intake with the body's circadian rhythms—an approach that has helped her clients improve digestion, reduce inflammation, and enhance metabolic health, all without intense exercise. Prior to founding East x West Med, she led functional wellness direct patient care as well as the longevity coaching program at Modern Age, Upper East Side, NYC. Dr. Robbins pulls from different areas of medicine to offer people an individualized approach and help people become wellness-focused instead of disease-focused. What We Discuss In This Episode: Dr. Robbins discusses the common misconception that "anti-aging" is achievable, when, in reality, aging is a natural process that cannot be fully reversed. She emphasizes the importance of managing expectations and focusing on feeling your best at each stage, rather than trying to turn back the clock. Embracing the aging process is key. Dr. Robbins explains that addressing aging and menopause requires a multi-factorial approach, not a single "magic" solution. Key elements include lifestyle (diet, exercise, stress management), hormone balance (not just estrogen, but also testosterone), and targeted therapies/supplements. She stressed the need for a personalized plan based on each individual's needs and goals. Many women experience symptoms of low testosterone as they age, but this is often overlooked or misunderstood. Dr. Robbins discussed how to assess testosterone levels and the various treatment options, including lifestyle changes, supplements, and bioidentical testosterone therapy. She emphasized the importance of working with a provider who specializes in women's hormones. Dr. Robbins' top recommendations for women navigating menopause and aging are: 1. Don't just accept the symptoms - seek out professional help to address the underlying issues, and 2. Build a support network of other women going through similar experiences. Having that community and accountability can make a big difference. About Dee Davidson: With over two decades of experience in functional health, Dee has dedicated my career to empowering women to thrive through a holistic approach to well-being. Dee is a seasoned functional health practitioner who is deeply passionate about guiding women on their wellness journey, addressing root causes of health concerns, and promoting optimal vitality through personalized protocols. Dee's extensive expertise encompasses a comprehensive understanding of the intricate interplay between lifestyle, nutrition, hormones, and overall health, allowing her to support women in achieving lasting wellness and vitality. Dee Davidson is the Founder of CLY, life-altering health coaching that includes fitness training, nutrition, biohacking, functional diagnostic testing, and mindset. You can tune into her podcast "Confidently Balance Your Hormones." What We Discuss In This Episode: Dee shares her passion for working with women in this season of life. She shares her own journey of hormone issues since age 17. She started to learn about hormones through her infertility journey and began connecting things like food, stress, environmental factors, and even the products that we put on our body and never even thought about. And then the second stage of her hormone health journey was post-kids. She was always a very petite fit, worked out – even enjoyed exercise – but noticed she had a really hard time losing weight, being 50 pounds heavier than her usual weight. Hormonal changes are a natural cycle of life. Women's hormones decline as we age, and it's important to understand how we can support our body. We also need to remember our hormones are still doing something even past menopause. Dee shares how it's important to note that your hormones are, what she calls, the electrical panel. They are signals of other dysfunctions in your body. Your hormones control your brain, your nervous system, your thyroid, your adrenals, your reproductive system, your metabolism, as well as insulin. And when we get to perimenopause and menopause, and our hormones start to decline, it affects women on a lot of levels. Many women experience brain fog, and they have more fatigue, because their body just doesn't have that hormone-vital reserve to combat all of the stressors. We discuss weight during this phase of life. This is a huge piece in the hormone menopausal phase. Dee believes the body wants to release weight, but stress is a big factor keeping that from happening. Also, it may be surprising to know that most women aren't eating enough food, so their body will store more fat, and then you become insulin resistant. So, watching your food intake and making sure you're having enough protein is important. Dee also discusses the importance of strength training. That doesn't mean hours at the gym and having to engage in CrossFit. We can use resistance bands or even practice yoga or Pilates. There are so many ways to build muscle. Dee then discusses the importance of cortisol. We become chronically fatigued, have those afternoon crashes, or we're not sleeping well because we're actually not producing that cortisol anymore - and then we can go into adrenal fatigue. Dee also talks about managing your stress. You don't have to take 30 or 60 minutes of time to manage your stress. Dee gives us some quick tips on things that we can do so we can help manage our stress. Dee gives us a few tips in closing to help us thrive in menopause and midlife. 1. Physical: Regulate and get your blood sugar under control. Blood sugar isn't just eating candy and cookies and things, there's a lot involved 2. Vitality: Preventative health. Don't ignore your own intuition. 3. Advocate: It's okay to be an advocate for your health. She shares how cutting out sugar and processed foods, and instead focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods, was transformative for regaining her energy, vitality, and sense of self-worth. Lynn emphasizes the importance of cultivating a positive mindset and vision for the future, rather than getting caught up in short-term cravings. She recommends making small, sustainable changes that gradually reprogram the brain and taste preferences. Incorporating joyful physical activity is also key for boosting energy and confidence. Lynn shares how she went from a state of hopelessness and wishing for her life to end, to now competing in Iron Man triathlons and feeling healthier, stronger, and more joyful than ever before. She is passionate about helping other women over 50 experience a similar transformation through her coaching and resources. About Saril Vasquez: Saril Vasquez is a triple-certified functional practitioner who has the honor of helping women uncover their TRUE root causes of hair loss while REVERSING IT naturally. After a 10-year career in specialty pharmacies and a decade of hair loss, she was given no hope for her prognosis. Turning to Godly guidance and ancient remedies for a real solution, the impossible became possible. Trained and coached by some of the most successful individuals in functional medicine, Saril's students “rewind the aging clock,” finally feeling confident about themselves again! Using nutrition, daily practices and personalized supplement protocols, they gain control and clarity about which daily choices and exposures turn on or turn off their aging hair, regardless of their diagnosis. Her messaging is - it is NOT just genetics, it is not just hormones, and we have more control than we think over our symptoms. Our toxicant exposures, nutrition habits, and body functions control how we age! As the CEO of Belle Organix LLC, Saril has helped countless individuals have a deeper understanding of how the body is supposed to work, where it all goes wrong, HOW TO FIX IT & how their seemingly random symptoms are crucially overlooked clues. Her vision is a world where hopeless hair loss is a thing of the past, replacing stigma and shame with empowerment. Her flagship course & coaching program, Bellechanics, encourages others to master their body mechanics to reveal their inner Belle, while embodying a new truth that will set them free : hair loss is reversible! What We Discuss In This Episode: Saril shares her personal hair loss journey and how, after spending $75,000+ over 10 years trying various treatments before finding natural solutions, she finally found what she was looking for and now helps others reverse hair loss through nutrition, detox, and lifestyle changes Root Causes of Hair Loss Hormone imbalances (e.g. estrogen dominance) Toxin overload from environment, diet, dental work, etc. Nutrient deficiencies and poor gut health Chronic inflammation Stress and nervous system dysfunction Holistic Approach to Hair Regrowth Focus on identifying personal triggers and root causes Improve detoxification pathways in the body Optimize nutrition and gut health Balance hormones naturally Reduce inflammation and oxidative stress Increase blood flow and nutrient delivery to scalp Debunking Hair Loss Myths Hair can potentially regrow even in areas of apparent scarring Topical treatments alone are not a long-term solution Normal lab results don't necessarily mean everything is fine Symptoms are often a better indicator of health than lab work Key Takeaways: 1. Hair loss is not just genetic or hormonal - lifestyle factors play a major role 2. Root causes often include toxin exposure, nutrient deficiencies, and hormone imbalances 3. Topical treatments like shampoos provide limited benefits compared to addressing underlying issues 4. Hair follicles can potentially regrow even in areas of apparent scarring/baldness R Resources from Saril Vasquez: Free Symptom Tracker on Website– discount code CONSULT: https://www.bellechanics.com/quiz Connect With Saril Vasquez: Website: https://www.bellechanics.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/bellechanics YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@bellechanics Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/sarilv Connect with Lynne: If you're looking for a community of like-minded women on a journey - just like you are - to improved health and wellness, overall balance, and increased confidence, check out Lynne's private community in The Energized Healthy Women's Club. Grab Your Opportunity for a Free Breakthrough Call With Lynne here About Dana Karen Ciccone: Dana Karen (“DK”) Ciccone is a certified Pilates instructor who helps people in pain improve strength, mobility, and well-being in a weight-neutral environment. She's also trained in pain reprocessing therapy through the Pain Psychology Center. Having begun her own journey with chronic back pain as a young teen, she has been exploring ways to help herself and others regain joy of movement for decades. After twenty years in the health sector, DK left a corporate career to follow her passion, later launching Movement Remedies, a chronic pain–focused Pilates studio in Boston, Massachusetts. Her first book, You're Meant to Move: A Guide to Conquering Chronic Pain, Increasing Stress Resilience, and Reclaiming an Active Life, was released December 2023. What We Discuss in This Episode: DK shares how her own experience with chronic pain led her to make it the central focus of her career. She realized that even though she was in pain, she could reclaim her body's capabilities and redefine strength on her own terms. This inspired her to share her approach with others who may have accepted daily pain as normal. DK describes her process for working with clients who are experiencing pain. She emphasizes the importance of reframing movement as a way to achieve life goals, rather than just for aesthetics. She also focuses on identifying "refuge" movements that feel safe, and gradually challenging clients to overcome their fear of certain movements. Strength training is a key component to build confidence and stability. DK discusses how the traditional medical system often fails to provide a holistic, long-term approach to managing chronic pain. She critiques the over-emphasis on weight loss and the lack of understanding around the role of the nervous system in pain responses. DK believes the system needs to improve at communicating the mind-body connection in a productive way. Advice for women during the menopausal transition: DK recommends that women increase their resistance training during menopause to protect bone health. However, she also encourages women to reject the notion that they need to be segregated from younger fitness classes. DK believes women should demand the right to participate in a wide range of activities that bring them joy and fulfillment. Beth's approach is about harmonizing the body, mind, and spirit, particularly beneficial during the transformative mid-life phase. What We Discuss In This Episode: Beth Sandlin discusses how her personal journey with cancer led her to discover the benefits of Pilates, and how she now approaches Pilates and holistic wellness with a focus on supporting women in midlife and menopause. She emphasizes Pilates' ability to improve strength, mobility, flexibility, and balance - all important for maintaining health and function as we age. Beth explains how Pilates can benefit mental health, reducing stress and even lowering dementia risk. She encourages a flexible, seasonal approach to exercise that adapts to different life stages and energy levels, rather than rigidly sticking to a single routine. Developing self-compassion and using our life experience as wisdom are also key. For women new to or returning to exercise, Beth advises starting with consistency over intensity - even just 10 minutes per day can be a great foundation. She recommends a blend of strengthening, mobility, and restorative work, and gradually increasing intensity as the body adapts. The focus should be on what you can do consistently, not perfection. Beth shares her thoughts regarding Pilates In the context of awesomely aging, and how she recommends integrating Pilates with other forms of exercise to address the unique health and wellness needs of midlife women. Grab Your Opportunity for a Free Call With Lynne About Dr. Shaina Cahill: Dr. Shaina Cahill, Ph.D., Director of Medical Communications and Affairs at Novel Biome holds a Neuroscience Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia. She is passionate about medical education, scientific communication, and alternative medicines harnessing the body's innate systems and how aging, exercise and diet play a role in our health. What We Discuss In This Episode: Dr. Shaina Cahill discusses her background in neuroscience and how that led her to focus on the gut microbiome and its connection to aging. She explains how the gut microbiome changes as we age, becoming less diverse and more inflammatory, and how this can impact brain health, immunity, and overall wellbeing. Maintaining a healthy, diverse gut microbiome through diet, exercise, and sleep may help slow the negative effects of aging. Dr. Shaina provides an overview of different gut health interventions. She notes that while probiotics can provide temporary benefits, making lasting changes requires focusing on prebiotics like fiber and fermented foods. She also discusses the potential of fecal microbiota transplants (FMTs) to treat various age-related diseases by replacing an unhealthy gut microbiome with a healthier one. Dr. Shaina comments on the shift towards more natural and holistic approaches in the medical field, including the increasing regulation and clinical trials of gut-focused therapies. She highlights exciting research on using FMTs to potentially reverse symptoms of conditions like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, and notes the challenges of navigating the regulatory landscape, especially the differences between Canada and the US. About Jackie Mott: Jackie Mott is a #1 International Bestselling author, powerhouse speaker, and Master Life Coach whose true brilliance lies in her ability to talk about difficult subjects using her own unique brand of wisdom, vulnerability, and humor, and she lives from her belief that “Life doesn't have to be so damn serious!” When Jackie's husband ended their 27-year relationship without warning, she was thrown into a tailspin. That conversation was her own personal “Ground Zero”. It was necessary to clear the rubble, learn who she truly was, and completely rebuild her life. In order to do that, Jackie had to challenge a lifetime's worth of conditioning and limiting beliefs and recreate herself from the ground up. The life she's created is more than she'd ever allowed herself to believe was possible, and now she supports others in doing the same. What We Discuss In This Episode: Jackie shares her personal journey of going through a difficult divorce after a 27-year marriage. She describes the devastation and loss of identity she experienced, and how she had to completely rebuild her life from the ground up. Through this process, Jackie developed a deep understanding of the power of mindset and the importance of challenging limiting beliefs. Jackie explains the concept of the "subliminal soundtrack" - the unconscious messages and beliefs that play in the back of our minds. She discusses how these beliefs, even if inaccurate, can profoundly shape our experiences and circumstances. Jackie shares her technique of "dancing with your demons" - actively acknowledging and challenging these negative thought patterns in order to reprogram them. Jackie outlines three key mindsets that can keep people stuck: the "lack mindset" the "lack of belief in self" and a poor sense of self-worth Jackie emphasizes that by shifting these core beliefs and adopting a mindset of possibility and self-compassion, people can unlock new opportunities and create the life they desire. Jackie also discusses her book "Believe All Things Are Possible'" which explores these mindset principles in depth. Lynne and Jackie wrap up the conversation, emphasizing the importance of shifting one's mindset and self-perception in order to overcome challenges and create a fulfilling life. They encourage listeners to believe in the possibility of positive change, even in the face of adversity. Grab Your Opportunity for a Free Call With Lynne About Dr. Cristina Catagnini: Dr. Castagnini's clinical expertise comes from her 25+ years of treating patients with a variety of mental health diagnoses, supervising postdoctoral residents, and holding the position as the lead eating disorder specialist at a major hospital for over 15 years. Her continued passion for helping others and spreading awareness about mental health issues led to the opening of her own thriving practice and to her hosting a weekly podcast, Behind the Bite. What We Discuss In This Episode: Can someone ever fully recover from an eating disorder? Dr. Castanini described how her eating disorder developed as a way to cope with bodily changes and life stressors during puberty. Restrictive behaviors gave her a sense of control but damaged her health. She sought treatment years later and now helps patients understand the root causes beyond just food and weight. Dr. Castanini dispelled common myths that eating disorders can never fully be recovered from. With treatment and by challenging negative self-beliefs, recovery is possible. She aims to instill hope and show patients they can regain control of their lives. Dr. Castanini criticized the BMI system as an outdated metric that promotes unhealthy ideals. Health is individual based on factors like bone structure and muscle mass, not a single number. She encouraged intuitive eating and listening to one's body rather than dieting for arbitrary standards. Dr. Castanini promotes an approach where all foods can be part of balanced meals based on hunger and fullness cues. Removing "good" and "bad" labels reduces guilt and emotional eating triggers. Variety and moderation best fuel the body and mind. Dr. Christina then addresses the fatphobia and unrealistic beauty standards perpetuated by diet culture that damage self-esteem. Genetics and health, not weight or size, should determine value. The underlying emotional drivers of disordered eating patterns must be addressed. Dr. Christina's final message stresses our need for greater self-care and compassion. We're often our own worst critics. Instead, we need to learn to speak to ourselves with the same kindness and grace we show to loved ones. Doctor Glenn's work, theories, and research have been published in major periodicals like The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times and The Chicago Sun Times. Disillusioned by what traditional psychology had to offer overweight and/or food obsessed individuals, Doctor Livingston spent several decades researching the nature of bingeing and overeating via work with his own patients AND a self-funded research program with more than 40,000 participants. Most important, however, was his own personal journey out of obesity and food prison to a normal, healthy weight and a much more lighthearted relationship with food. Grab Your Opportunity for a Free Call With Lynne Here About Guy Odishaw Guy Odishaw is the founder of Bhakti Wellness Center, one of the largest, most diverse, integrative medicine clinics in the country. Co-founder of the first integrative student health clinics in the country at the University of Minnesota. Cofounder of Bhakti Brain Health Clinic - Neuroimaging & Neuromodulation. Cofounder of Minnesota Bredesen Clinic - Dementia Prevention & Treatment Co-founder of CerebralFit Brain Training, a Nutraceutical, Electroceutical, company. Guy's 20+ years as meditation instructor and facilitator of courses on personal growth helped him understand how to support clients through transitions of life. He's studied dysregulation that possibly stems from the brain, brainstem, body or mind that affects so many of us in this day and age. What We Discuss In This Episode Lynne welcomed back Guy to discuss anxiety from a psychophysiological perspective, a prevalent and growing issue impacting individuals and families. Guy defined anxiety as the experience of dysregulation that could originate from the brain, brainstem, body, or mind. Guy explained that anxiety is labeled as the feeling of dysregulation in the system. Identifying the source of dysregulation is key to determining the best treatment approach whether it's in the body, brain, brainstem, or mind. Guy presented a case study showing a client's highly dysregulated autonomic nervous system and how biofeedback training improved heart rate variability, coherence, and overall regulation—greatly reducing anxiety and depression symptoms. Through biofeedback sessions, a 53-year-old woman was able to regulate her previously chaotic autonomic nervous system with breathing exercises, improving quality of life after decades of treatment-resistant depression and anxiety. While practices like meditation and breathing can benefit many, Guy cautioned that randomly choosing an exercise risks dysregulation rather than resolution. Biofeedback allows identifying truly regulating techniques versus those maintaining dysregulation. Guy offered a free 15-minute consultation for listeners to discuss specific concerns, with the goal of empowering self-care and connecting others with targeted resolution approaches. Lynne thanked Guy for the insightful discussion. Grab Your Opportunity for a Free Call with Lynne here. About Bronwyn Schweigerdt: Bronwyn Schweigerdt has a Master's Degree in counseling, and another in nutrition. She is a public speaker, author, and licensed psychotherapist. Bronwyn describes herself as a therapist specializing in anger. She may be the most evocative psychotherapist you've ever heard. Instead of fixing peoples' messes, her goal is to elicit feelings we're most ashamed to have, such as hatred and betrayal. She knows that even though feelings are invisible, they don't evaporate, but store away in our bodies when they're disowned. According to Bronwyn, these feelings haunt us and cause mental illness until we externalize them into words with someone who can hear and validate them. She especially loves helping her clients – and now, her podcast listeners – externalize painful feelings once and for all. She has experienced success in helping people break free of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, even psychosis, once and for all, by reconnecting them to their anger, and healing their relationship with anger, and with themselves. What We Discuss in this Episode: Bronwyn outlines how unresolved anger stagnates physically, manifesting as insomnia, headaches, anxiety and eating disorders. Emotions directed inwardly damage the body over decades until the anger's true targets are acknowledged. When resolution with the anger's source is impossible, externalizing feelings through letters read to a supportive listener releases anger from the body. Resolution isn't needed from the original person; boundaries protect from further harm. Bronwyn shares her belief that one can only be responsible for one's own emotions within skin boundaries, not others'. Codependency stems from neglecting this rule. Assertiveness and clearly stating needs and limits builds self-trust and frees one from trying to intuit others' states. Bronwyn's podcast "Angry at the Right Things" and YouTube videos provide tools for those unable to become clients. Work durations vary depending on motivation, but reflection accelerates freedom from suppressed anger. About Susana Puelles: Susana Puelles, L.Ac. is a holistic hormone & fertility specialist who's been helping women heal their wombs and live in hormonal harmony for over a decade. As a Functional & Chinese medicine practitioner and acupuncturist, she helps women reverse decades of damage and replenish reserves to fix their cycle, live pain and medication free, while boosting their success at a safe, natural pregnancy. After overcoming her own hormone struggles and high-risk pregnancies, she has committed her practice to supporting women holistically throughout their evert cycle of life from youth, motherhood and beyond. She works with women all over the world to achieve optimal levels of healing in her signature programs and is the founder of YoniSync, an herbal elixir product line that helps harmonize cycles, welcome perimenopause, and enhance womb and reproductive health. What We Discuss In This Episode: Why is perimenopause a critical time to reverse decades of possible damage? Let's dive In. Susan found her calling in holistic healing after a chance encounter with acupuncture relieved her moodiness at a young age, leading her to abandon pre-med and immerse herself in Chinese medicine. Hormonal imbalances and high-risk pregnancies reinforced her dedication to environmental causes of women's health issues. Recurrent life-threatening conditions in her pregnancies convinced Susan her issues were environmental rather than genetic, driving her to pursue functional medicine testing revealing severe toxicities from plastics and chemicals accumulated since adolescence. Rather than hormone replacement therapy, Susan advocates lifestyle and herbal approaches to support liver and kidney function and replenish depleted adrenals, seeing menopausal symptoms as calls for dietary and supplement strategies tailored to each woman's presentation. Susan prefers adaptogens like schisandra berry and rishi mushroom to nourish the liver, kidneys and adrenals while clearing inflammation, along with individualized protocols depending on a woman's symptoms and needs. Toxin accumulation from environmental exposures accelerates aging by overwhelming the body's detox systems; Susan stresses optimizing elimination and absorption with herbs that boost these processes like chaga and reishi, supporting anti-aging at the cellular level. In addition to a free online masterclass on her website FeelOnPoint.com, Susan offers one-on-one consultations to help women thrive in their "second spring" by addressing imbalances proactively rather than reactively with medication. Susan urges women not to wait to live fully, advising making lifestyle changes now to experience this later life stage with excitement and potential rather than draining challenges; her own example of early retirement inspired taking adventures in the present moment. With roles as a mother, entrepreneur, podcast host, and writer, she aspires to inspire women to unlock their potential and embrace vibrant health. What We Discuss In This Episode: Dee Davidson shares her personal journey with hormone imbalances, infertility, and weight challenges, and how that led her to study functional medicine and help other women with similar struggles. Dee explains why she believes in using comprehensive lab testing, such as the Dutch hormone test and GI map, to get a full picture of a client's health rather than relying on limited blood tests. She cautions against practitioners who make assumptions or recommendations based on symptoms alone without proper testing. Dee emphasizes the importance of addressing the root causes of health issues, not just treating the symptoms. She discusses how factors like diet, stress, sleep, and gut health can significantly impact hormone balance, and how addressing these foundational areas can often resolve many problems without the need for direct hormone interventions. We discuss the limitations of the conventional healthcare system, including doctors' reluctance to order comprehensive lab testing and their tendency to treat symptoms rather than underlying causes. They highlight the need for a more holistic, functional approach to healthcare, especially when it comes to women's hormonal health. Lynne shares her own experience with perimenopause and the challenges of getting proper support from her doctor. Dee emphasizes the importance of listening to one's own body and intuition, and working with a practitioner who can provide comprehensive testing and a personalized approach to addressing hormonal changes. Dee and Lynne discuss the role of faith in their lives and businesses, and the importance of being able to give back to those in need, even when it means sacrificing some financial gain. They share examples of how they've been able to support clients and employees in need, and the blessings they've experienced as a result. What We Discuss In This Episode: Suzy Hardy shares how she overcame childhood anxiety, and now teaches stress management techniques to her clients. Suzy outlines the six types of stress - physical, social, environmental, existential, and mental/emotional. Understanding these categories helps identify controllable vs. uncontrollable stresses. Suzy recommends a few ways to relieve our stresses: 1. Supplementing key nutrients like magnesium and B vitamins. 2. Her #1 technique, accessible on her website, immediately calms the nervous system. 3. Probiotics and essential oils also provide relief. 4. Herbal supplements like dong quai and red raspberry leaf can support hormone balancing during menopause changes. 5. Self-care practices are critical to avoid rushing through this phase and forcing expectations. 6. Breathing exercises, outsourcing tasks, and short meditation practices can ease stress even in corporate settings. 7. Essential oils, presence, and slowing down also cultivate calm amid life's demands and uncertainties. Suzy shares that although emotions arise, we are not defined by feelings of stress or anxiety. About Darlene Greene: Darlene Greene has over 26 years of experience in executive leadership and senior management positions across diverse industries, including positions such as: Vice President of Strategic Technology Partner at McAfee (Intel), Dean of Culver Girls Academy, Director of Client Services for HyeTech Networks and Security, and Senior Director LifeWave Stem Cell Activation Technology. During her 20 years of military experience, she earned her MBA and held three Commanding Officer positions, including serving as base commander and overseeing over 1200 personnel in multiple departments (IT, Ops, Training, Admin, Logistics, Medical, Supply, Finances, HR, and Facilities). Darlene created the Returning Warrior Weekend Workshop in 2006 to help military and their spouses reintegrate successfully and it is still in existence across the country today. Her passion is helping people activate their stem cells, repair their DNA, reverse age, and get out of pain through the latest photobiomodulation technology. What We Discuss In This Episode: Darlene shares her personal health struggles with multiple autoimmune disorders beginning in 1996. Her interest in stem cells intensified when her husband was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's at age 64, experiencing rapid cognitive decline within two years despite stem cell IV treatments and lifestyle changes. Darlene saw immediate improvements in her husband's symptoms after starting LifeWave stem cell activation patches, such as reduced napping, improved engagement and personality. Her injuries and depression also improved, eliminating needs for painkillers and blood pressure medication. Darlene recommends starting with the X39 patch for a month per decade of age, then adding an anti-inflammatory patch for maximum benefits. Consistency for 3-6 months typically yields results including pain relief, increased energy and mental clarity. The patches use photobiomodulation to signal the body to produce peptides like GHK-CU, a copper peptide shown in 50+ studies to promote stem cell growth and organ function. Within 24 hours, 3000-4000 genes are reset to support cell regeneration and healing. Darlene shares information about several additional targeted patches including ones for skin, hormones, cravings and energy/mitochondria function. She emphasized the powerful combination of the X39, X49 and anti-inflammatory patches for full-body optimization and health improvements.
