About Dr. Michaela Robbins: Dr. Michaela Robbins is a Doctor of Nursing Practice, Board-Certified Adult-Gerontology Nurse Practitioner, and founder of East x West Med. She has over a decade of experience in medicine with a background in hormone health, longevity health, functional and lifestyle medicine. Dr. Robbins received her master's and doctoral training at Columbia University and has completed additional training through the Hormone Health Institute, the Institute of Functional Medicine and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine. About Ann Hince: Ann had a childhood with plenty of trauma and dysfunction. She had PTSD into her 30s - the result of two alcoholic parents. She became a software engineer because it was so comforting to know that logic could work in part of her life, even though it never seemed to work in her chaotic life as a child. In her 30s and 40s she was afforded the luxury of being a stay-at-home mom to her two boys. Realizing how traumatized she still was when her boys were young, she set out to become the calm mom she wanted to be. She changed. Things changed. Life changed Her goal is to reach those people who really want inner change, inner peace - those who have the desire and will to do the inner work. There are many who do not want to look inside, but if you are someone who does, who really wants change, then it is my pleasure to show you the path. Twenty years later the tears from that trauma were still just under the surface. Ann found a simple technique that helped her release these emotions - but she went further and can now put her awareness inside her body - and has changed the bone structure of her skull and grown ½ an inch at age 55. Ann has found that seeking out our truth, what we truly feel, and accepting those feelings, is the key to inner peace. What We Discuss In This Episode: Over the past few years, Ann has shifted her skull bones by releasing tension in the connective tissue, which she can release simply with focused attention, or focused awareness. She's also grown ½ an inch as a 55-year-old, because of this release of inner tension. The x-rays on her website that show these changes – aligning of eye sockets, centering of jaw bones, straightening of neck. She explains the connection between emotional, mental, physical and spiritual health, a connection which isn't well understood but is important to understand given the current state of our world. She shares her story started as a quest for inner peace, because she recognized she was too reactionary, and her mind was very busy and very negative – from being born with her right foot up against her right shin, being adopted, merciless teasing as the first girl boarder at a boy's boarding school, growing up with two alcoholic parents, and finding her mother dead in the bathroom when I was 19. She used a couple of techniques to peel back the layers of suppressed emotions and as a result, her awareness expanded to become aware of her emotions, then the physical sensations underneath the emotions, then eventually she became aware inside her physical body. She shares that we all have these capabilities inside of ourselves, and if we can shift our bones, imagine what else we can do? She discusses how we can change our signal to attract different results. such as(clothing, hair, shape, stance, thoughts, words, the big one: inner tension. Ann shares how she went about making these changes? She believes we can change the world with this work by accepting our emotions around everything around us– race, politics, climate, etc. – whatever they may be, whatever side we are on. When we remove the emotional charge, we no longer attract the experience, there is no longer any need for us to attract it. About Marnye Moore: After 25 years as an administrative and executive assistant, Marnye was simply bored out of her mind in a job that was 'good enough.' Her life was just 'good enough.' She felt she should have been content but she wasn't. She was grateful but bored and could not figure out how to make a change. 2008 the US economy took a big nosedive and she felt like she should just stay put. Instead, she hired a coach who led her through a program of self-discovery. She bought her first home when all else was falling apart. I found a wonderful guy with whom I have been with for eleven years. The point of it is that she found the courage to move past good enough. She started creating a life that she wanted to live. Lots of ups and downs and none dramatic. But it was the idea that good enough is not good and there is so much more to be had. When they moved cross-country just for the adventure, her corporate employer let her go. That disappointment forced her to build a lifestyle that allows her to be where she wants to be and do what she wants to do. Today she guides people through the same program of self-discovery and being quite candid with them about personal specifics. That's her 'flair.' She's not a friend but the person who says the difficult things. Not everyone needs a coach. But people who are looking to scale personally and professionally or looking to overcome a personal challenge do. About Henry Gaskins: Henry Gaskins, Writer, Poet, Certified Health and Life Coach, Founder & CEO of Chrysalis Transformational Coaching Service LLC of Raleigh NC. Henry is a Wellness/Fitness enthusiast, Creator and host of the C.R.U.S.H. Your Mountain weekly podcast (FB/YouTube), and Creator of the C.R.U.S.H. Method, a modality by which clients create change and reinvent themselves His words to live by are: “Don't just climb your mountain, crush through it!” “We are all in the state of ‘becoming', the goal is to be intentional about your outcome.” Becoming a caregiver for two disabled parents, one of whom suffered from schizophrenia/dementia, he left school and eventually found himself in Manufacturing working in Shipping Receiving. After suppressing his natural creativity and being diagnosed as prediabetic, he had only two choices: Either accept the doctor's perspective that the condition was irreversible and hereditary, there's nothing he could do about it, just take insulin until death or… Take charge of his life, find a way to slow, halt and reverse the condition, and create a pathway to help himself and others while utilizing his creativity to grow and develop a business that nourishes his inner self. He chose the latter. Henry created the C.R.U.S.H. Method, a modality that takes one through a 4-step sequence to Conceive/Commit, Refine/Rework, Undertake, Sustain, and Habituate. He lost 25lbs and built his body to allow its muscularity to metabolize glucose more efficiently. He created the YouTube program C.R.U.S.H. Your Mountain: Health, Wellness, and Personal Growth to share his journey and that of others who have their challenges. He now works with clients to help them find a path in life, lose weight, and build confidence through muscular development. About Troy Duell: Troy Duell studied sports medicine and exercise physiology in college, has continued to educate himself on health and performance and has worked for 20 years in the pharmaceutical industry. His years in the industry opened his eyes to many things that were positive but also to many products and companies that were a lot less about creating healthy people and a lot more about healthy pocket books. COVID made him more convinced than ever that our healthcare system needs to be overhauled. Three things helped form his opinion: 1. Doctor that mentioned he eats whatever he wants and just takes a cholesterol medicine. He worked at one of the teaching institutions and this was his mindset. 2.
