Happy Belated Mothers Day to all the mothers. We talk about the 1999 case of Rae Carruth and the 1978 murder of Bob Crane
In November of 1999, 24-year-old Cherica Adams was eight months pregnant when she and the father of her child, 25-year-old Carolina Panthers wide receiver Rae Carruth, went on a double date. They saw a late-night showing of a serial killer flick at the theater. As Rae led Cherica back home to her apartment in his white Ford Expedition, with Cherica following behind in her black BMW, he unexpectedly slowed to a near stop. Confused, Cherica slowed down too. Then, an unknown car pulled up beside her and gunfire rang out. Before the smoke had cleared, Rae was gone—and Cherica had been shot multiple times. November 16th, 1999. Cherica Adams called 911 to report that she had been shot. Cherica was eight months pregnant and losing blood rapidly, but she managed to survive long enough for her son to be born by emergency caesarian section. She also implicated her boyfriend in her murder: it was NFL start Rae Carruth.

This week Vee covers the rise and fall of ex Carolina Panther's player Rae Carruth, who famously had his girlfriend killed in a murder for hire plot to avoid paying child support... and the little boy who fought to live in spite of it all. Ray Carruth is a former NFL wide receiver who was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder in the death of Cherica Adams in November of 1999. Adams and Carruth had a casual boyfriend/girlfriend relationship. Adams became pregnant and planned on having Carruth's child with or without him. Carruth already had a child in college in which he was sued for child support. It's safe to assume that he did not want his future, second, child. We can all it is fair to accuse Carruth of being a bad person. Maybe he felt that each woman's agenda was to become pregnant and get rich. Or. Maybe he's just an individual who doesn't like being responsible or accountable. Why did he feel that murder was a logical solution to his problem? Only he knows the answer. Is Ray Carruth any worse than a woman who deliberately keeps her children away from a father who wants to be in their lives? Both decisions are evil. Both are selfish. Both are intended to cause harm. Lastly, Both intend to bring upon death to another individual. Death means to stop living. There are physical deaths, social deaths, and emotional deaths. Taking a father's children away from him creates The Walking Dead. I've been told by a woman that, although her child's father was a great co-parent she liked to have the overall control. Many women feel that they have the ability and the qualification to be able to tell a man how good of a parent he can be with or without his children. This is the distinction of the American society. Parenting is the new abnormality, and the war between men and women is only getting worse. https://youtu.be/Apta-fGxYE8https://youtu.be/wskBnPiyz_Ehttps://www.wbtv.com/story/37538080/former-carolina-panthers-player-rae-carruth-breaks-silence-behind-bars-hopes-for-relationship-with-son/#crime #MenvsWomen #dating #relationships #RaeCarruth #MyBoyfriendTriedToKillMe #truecrime #KevinSamuels #relationshipadvice #toxiclove #narcissist #nfl #murder #AndrewTate #justpearlythings
In 1999, Carolina Panthers wide receiver Rae Carruth, 26, had a problem. A casual girlfriend, stripper Cherica Adams, 24, told him she was pregnant with his child. Rae was already paying a significant amount of child support to a woman in California, and had no desire for another baby. Prosecutors claimed Carruth conspired with three men to gun down Cherica as she was driving home from a movie. Before she died, Cherica was given a C-section and delivered Carruth's son, Chancellor, who was born with permanent brain damage and cerebral palsy. The defense, led by David Rudolf (defense attorney in the Michael Peterson 'Staircase' trial), argues hit man Van Brett Watkins killed Cherica in a fit of anger following a prior argument with Rae. In 2002, Carruth was found guilty of conspiracy to commit first degree murder. He served 18 years of an 18-to-24-year sentence and was released from prison on October 22, 2018. This episode contains testimony from Carruth's cousin, Tiffany Adams, followed by confessed hitman Van Brett Watkins.
In November 1999, 24-year old Cherica Adams is 8 months pregnant when she is shot in her car while driving. She died a month later in the hospital, but her baby survived and he is 23 years old today. Who would want to hurt this beautiful young mom? The father of her child, NFL player Rae Carruth, is the main suspect.
9-1-1 Dispatch receives a call from a woman shouting “I've been shoot… I'm 8 months pregnant”. Dispatch “Okay Ma'am 8 months pregnant been shot you're at Wessex Square…. Okay stay on the line”. Dispatch “How did this happen?” Woman “I was following my baby dad. Rae Carruth the Football Player”. Rae Carruth had all hopes riding on his new NFL career with the Carolina Panthers. Everything seemed to be looking bright for a good future. Sure he had some bumps in the road along the way, which included a new baby. This would make anyone stressed out. However, no one was prepared to see Rae Carruth standing in front of a judge and jury for the murder of his baby's mother and attempted murder of his unborn son. In 1999, Cherica Adams was planning the birth of her child with NFL player Rae Carruth. Rae played for the Carolina Panthers in Charlotte, North Carolina, and while people thought everything was great on the outside looking in, there were real problems that would lead to murder and attempted murder at the hands of Rae himself. Rae would later admit he just hooked up with Cherica and did not want her to go through with the pregnancy, but Cherica refused to abort her child. This is where things would take a dark turn for the mom-to-be.Listen to Sam tell Tiffany the grizzly tale of love and pregnancy gone wrong. In this episode Durell is joined by model, actress, author, blogger, former editor in chief and businesswoman Alexcina Brown. Alexcina and Durell begin the episode talking about how they initially got connected when she was the editor in chief and owner of Brash Magazine. Durell shares how much he appreciates what Alexcina has done for indie creatives in giving them a platform because it's not easy to find media platforms to cover them as they come up building a music career. Durell and Alexcina talk about why it's so important for indie creatives to pick the right partner when you want to pursue a music career. Durell asks Alexcina what it was like to grow up in Macon GA. She shares that she enjoyed growing up in Macon but she didn't feel that there were enough creative outlets for her there. She did appreciate the fact that she was able to experience a pretty normal childhood. She knew that she always wanted to leave Macon because she felt there were bigger things for her to experience and she moved to Atlanta GA after college. Alexcina and Durell talk about why she has a love for marketing and why marketing played a role in pretty much every aspect of life. Durell asks Alexcina what it was like to pledge her sorority Zeta Phi Beta and how that helped her in terms of building relationships. She shares that it really prepared and helped her when it came to networking. She felt that her being in a sorority was like having a second family. She shares that her sorority has a brother fraternity and that she still keeps in touch with her line sisters to this very day. Alexcina and Durell talk about how HBCUs are going to become much more relevant moving forward now that there's opportunities for student athletes. Alexcina shares with Durell that the ability to learn from people who look like her made a huge impact on the way she approaches and navigates her way through corporate America. Alexcina shares about her experience earning a Masters Degree in Entertainment Management from American Intercontinental University. Durell shares about the importance of knowing how to navigate through the entertainment industry. Alexcina shares that having her Degree has helped her in every aspect of her entertainment industry endeavors. Alexcina and Durell talk about understanding your value and leading with doing what's best for you. Alexcina and Durell talk about her journey as a model. Alexcina shares that she started her journey and modeling career in Atlanta where she would attend different meet-up groups where she would meet ametur photographers and learn how to work the camera. She was able to build relationships with different magazines and submit her pictures and ultimately be chosen to feature in those magazines. She shares that her being in the different magazines is what originally gave her the idea to create her own publication, Brash Magazine. She shares that there wasn't much money in runway modeling but she did find success doing print modeling where she was featured in several different magazines from all over the world. Alexcina knew the next step for her was to go into acting. Alexcina shared that she had done some acting work on a show called “Justice By Any Means” for the TV one network which depicts a true crime event. She says that that particular type of work is a lot of improv and acting with your scene partner but no actual speaking dialogue. Durell and Alexcina talk about many people who are fascinated with true crime because they often wonder what would make someone want to commit a crime eventually get caught and spend years in prison. Durell shares a particular story of a true crime murder involving former NFL player Rae Carruth in which he tried to kill his girlfriend and she gave birth to a son before she passed away and his son was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Durell talks about when it comes to relationships and dating he had to come to the realization that he's at a disadvantage when compared to most men. He knows that he has to approach dating relationships completely differently not to show that he's a good person but more to show the value he brings. Durell and Alexcina end the episode talking about why she decided to create Brash Magazine. Alexcina shares that her ultimate vision was to shed light on talent that doesn't get the notoriety that they deserve. She said the magazine started out as a blog where she would do a few artist spotlights and then after being in several magazines she knew that she was ready to start her own publication. Alexcina shares that having a publication is a lot of work. She shares what she loves about highlighting indie creatives is that they often aren't being creative and releasing music for the money but rather because they love doing it despite having to make things happen on a shoestring budget. Durell asks Alexcina about her company Fearless Vision Marketing that she had prior to creating Brash Magazine. She shares that company was more of like a class project from when she was in grad school. Alexcina shares that Fearless Vision Marketing was like a baby version of Brash Magazine. Fearless Vision Marketing was catered more to small businesses where she would help them develop their marketing plans. Durell and Alexcina talk about the work that she's done as an author under the pen name the Blakk Dhalia. For more information on Alexcina Brown, please visit her website:http://www.alexcinabrown.com/

Adam and Dr. Drew welcome author Ryan Holiday in studio today and they open the show with talk of stoicism and Drew's assertion that even though he may not realize it, Adam is a stoic. The conversation then turns to some horrific stories such as the story of Rae Carruth attempting to execute his eight months pregnant girlfriend and the horror that people like the shooter in that case exist. The guys also discuss the idea that our society is largely fear based and examine how that's manifesting itself today. As the show winds down Ryan educates the guys on some of the philosophy behind some famous P.O.W.s from the Vietnam War.
