Dr Ruta Śpiewak przedstawiła schemat Nowego Europejskiego Modelu Rozwoju Wiejskiego (NEMRW). NEMRW zakłada, że gospodarka wiejska będzie coraz bardziej zróżnicowana, nastąpi zmiana miejsca rolnictwa w gospodarce wiejskiej. Nastąpi także zmiana stosunku mieszkańców obszarów wiejskich wobec środowiska (ze stosunku dominacji na partnerski). Ponadto w nowym modelu mieszkańcy obszarów wiejskich są aktywni, chętni do działania na rzecz swojego obszaru. Komentarz wygłosiła prof. Maria Halamska, kierownik Zakładu Analiz Zmian Społecznych Instytut Rozwoju Wsi i Rolnictwa PAN. *** Konferencja pt. „Wieś i rolnictwo w Polsce w warunkach intensyfikacji procesów globalnych – wyzwania i sposoby adaptacji” podsumowała czteroletni plan badawczy prowadzony przez pracowników Instytutu Rozwoju Wsi i Rolnictwa Polskiej Akademii Nauk w latach 2009-2012. Przyjechały do Beskidu Niskiego z dużych miast i odkrywają uroki życia na wsi, a przy okazji pieśni dawnej Łemkowszczyzny. Mowa o kobietach z grupy śpiewaczej RUTY UWITE. Większość to Polki. Prowadzi je łemkowska pieśniarka Julia Doszna, która przybliża im stare tradycje wokalne. Panie osiedliły się w regionie aby rozpocząć życie na nowo, z dala od cywilizacji. Są m.in. z Krakowa, Warszawy, Wrocławia czy ze Śląska. Jak mówią, to jedna z największych przygód w ich życiu. "Jest inne tempo życia niż w mieście, tutaj czujemy mniej samotnie, relacje między ludźmi są bliższe" - komentują. Łemkini Julia Doszna przez wiele lat związana była z zespołem Łemkowyna, w którym występowała na scenie w Polsce, Stanach Zjednoczonych czy Kanadzie.
