On today's show we are marking Trans Day of Visibility (31st of March). We will be hearing snippets of a rich conversation between 3CR's Sally Goldner and Aisya Zaharin. Aisya is a trans advocate from Meanjin Brisbane and is currently in Narrm as a special guest for the Women's Iftar hosted by Queer Muslim Narrm and Trans Sisters United. She has also been a strong advocate for trans youth in Queensland in the face of government attacks on trans health care. Our guests chat about the recent Women's Iftar held by Queer Muslim Narrm and Trans Sisters United; the rise of right-wing dogma and its impact on faith and religion; and the QLD anti-trans bill, which has suspended minors from accessing Hormone Replacement Therapy and puberty blockers. This interview was aired on Sunday 23 March on 3CR's Out of the Pan with Sally Goldner. AusPath has initiated a fundraiser ‘Project 491' in response to this harmful suspension from the QLD government. Victorian law makes it incredibly difficult for trans, gender diverse and intersex Victorians to change their birth certificate. This creates obvious and unnecessary distress, and can create barriers to participation. In anticipation of IDAHOBIT, we spoke with highly respected LGBTQI advocate Sally Goldner of TransGender Victoria, and queer advocate and activist Theodore Murray to discuss this issue.

Are all bodies, identities, relationships and expressions welcome? YAAASSSS. We dive into Queer Tantra with Rainbow Advocate, Sally Goldner. With personal stories of our own adventures in Tantra as queer people, we explore Tantric concepts of polarity (masculine/feminine), sex-positivity and inclusion, language, healing body-image, communication, consent and calling out and how to have the kind of sexual and Tantric experiences you want, no matter what body you’re in or with.
What a wonderful episode this is! Farter Figures challenges some of societies perceptions that same-sex couples aren't capable parents. I speak to two gay dads. One is young, single and a foster parent to three sisters. The other comes from Portland in America whose transgender partner recently given birth to a baby boy. Two different stories of gay parenting, but both are captivating and inspirational for all parents. I also chat to Sally Goldner a former LBGTIQ Australian person of the year and head of Transgender Victoria. Our fourth guest on this massive episode is Dr Deborah Dempsey from Swinburne University. She has been researching same-sex parenting families for 12 years. This episode discusses LBGTIQ parenting and how society needs to accept everyone as equal, no matter how different we are. Parenting is parenting. Love is Love.

Then we hear from Sally Goldner from Transgender Victoria about how the potential postal plebiscite is affecting the trans community. If you are part of the LGBTIQ community and are feeling distressed by the plebiscite or the broader marriage equality debate you can call QLife on 1800 184 527 for support and referral between 3pm and midnight in your state or territory or visit https://qlife.org.au/.
