Welcome to Summer! Dan and Lacy are set to you bring you a few summer themed movie commentaries! First up is the very cheesy Shark Night (minus the 3D). How does this one fair amongst other Shark movies? Was this film really about revenge over a scarred faced? Does PG-13 hurt the overall flow? And WTF was Katherine McPhee doing in this movie? All that and more on this summer of fun epsiode of Cut to the Chase! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/lacy-williams1/support
Sean is joined once again by guests Stew from 'Stew World Order' and Kevin and Erin from 'The Podcast That Wouldn't Die' to continue the LL Cool J series! Get ready for the Podmageddon! Journey from Saffron Burrows accent to whatever accent Christian Bale is using this week. Discussion Points: -The CGI that has aged like milk. -Adults acting like teenagers. -Cheesy 90's dialogue. -Dramatic American News versus understated British News. -We get to Scene Two after 20 minutes. -Don't worry about the character's names. -The reasons why a character is introduced literally p*ssing in the wind. -The film trope of insulting the owner of the company that you work for. -The character with science on the brain, but lust in their eyes. -Smoking rules in the lab. -The sheer amount of company negligence on show here. -Only one single Floppy disks copy for this multi-million dollar research. Raised Questions: -How hasn't Stew seen this before? -Was LL Cool J under-used? -Did you know Thomas Jane actually swam with sharks? -What happened to Renny Harlin? -What is the earliest you've ever turned up for a podcast recording? -Who's Scott? -Does red wine attract sharks? -Who brings a teddy on a boat? -Why don't Americans believe the TV weather report? -Did you know Saffron Burrows was actually English? -Was Samuel L. Jackson "Way too chill"? -Why does every shark film take time to tell us that sharks don't like the taste of humans? -Is this film really about the power of thought? -How does a shark sneak in a corridor and turn on an oven? -Did you want the omelette recipe? -How uneven is the shift rota? -Is this film "damn near perfect", "fun nonsense" or "Turner & Hooch but with a parrot"? Stew, Erin and Kevin will be back to review Mindhunters (2004) or Shark Night (2009). Thanks for Listening! Review It Yourself is now on YouTube! In today's episode, we are diving into the depths of cinematic terror with Jaume Collet-Serra's The Shallows (2016) and David R. Ellis's Shark Night (2011). In The Shallows, a young woman on a pilgrimage to her late mother's favorite surf haunt finds herself stranded on a rock as she faces off against a relentless great white shark. In Shark Night, a group of unsuspecting friends gather for a little lakeside R&R, only to find themselves being stalked by an assortment of toothy terrors. While both films ostensibly fall under the subgenre of ‘shark horror,' their differing approaches have us considering the utility of the ‘shark as monster' trope. Do these films offer up waters chummed with spine-tingling suspense and jaws-dropping scares? We're finding out in today's spoiler filled episode, so stay tuned! CITED IN EPISODE BERGER, JOHN. Going to Sara's lakehouse for the weekend sounded like a great idea for a group of friends who would never believe they'd be shark food. Shark Night surfaced in 2011 featuring a few big names like Joel David Moore and Katherine McPhee. While an enjoyable watch more than 10 years later, it's hard to wrap our heads around a shark reality tv show. This movie was riddled with inconsistencies, but give it a watch, check out our review, and let us know your thoughts.Check out our website The Final PodcastJoin the Discord https://discord.gg/nFSnEE9wG2Subscribe to our YouTube channel The Final Podcast - YouTubeFollow us on Facebook The Final Podcast | FacebookFollow us on Instagram The Final Podcast (@thefinalpodcast) • Instagram photos and videosFollow us on Twitter The Final Podcast (@thefinalpodever) / TwitterMusic Credit: Karl Casey @ White Bat Audiohttps://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_6h...

Tara, Adam & Dave watched a movie that asked the questions, what if a freshwater lake had Sharks in it? And what if the sharks weren't the real monsters? And how many sharks does it take to be in a lake before the public starts wondering why there's sharks in the lake? Don't go to bed early, because it's SHARK NIGHT!Here's how IMDB describes the movie:Seven college students go to a lake house in the Louisiana Gulf. Jay and Nick Rehak (@TheRehak on Twitter) discuss Shark Night, the 2011 film that features 3D sharks eating college students. Directed by David R. Ellis (who was the 2nd Unit director on Deep Blue Sea), and starring Sara Paxton, Dustin Milligan and a sweet jet ski, the movie features pugnacious tiger sharks, murderous mangroves, and a one-armed shark fight that is legitimately beautiful. Sit back, relax (on a jet ski), and be prepared for a fun discussion.

Blood is in the water and Animal Attack April has picked up the scent as we take a huge bite out of 2011’s SHARK NIGHT 3D. Along the way, we make a meal out of de-aging hats, jump all over Shamu leaps, debate the villains’ business plan, consider flopping off the back of a seadoo, ponder heavy metal lovin’ middle-aged men, and listen as Gena starts to meltdown recounting the circumstances of this film’s plot. Of course, we play a round of Choose Your Own Shark-venture and finally, analyze several bars of Shark Night’s plot rap. Come and make shark ghosts with us, won’t you? Happy November! This month we are working out way through listener suggestions and start with a movie we both thoroughly enjoyed in the worst ways, Shark Night (3D).We have a lot of questions about the business venture of the villains, how hurricanes are getting sharks into this lake, and how you always need a swimsuit cover up as part of your wardrobe. Sharkologist Molly is in and hitting it with all the shark facts, so buckle up and enjoy the ride. Rate and review or we’ll put sharks in your lake. Stats/info: 2011, directed by David R. Welcome to the 59th episode of the Brains, Braun, & Corbin Podcast! This week we blatantly ignore any crazy news that may be going on and instead decide to have a chill discussion on the video games, tv shows, and movies we’ve been watching recently. We also discuss this week’s animal themed movie: Shark Night. Which isn’t about a young shark whose parents were murdered in the dark streets of Shark Gotham, but the movie is still pretty good I guess. Listen in to hear what we have to say about it! Finally, we end the episode by deciding between a bear, a woodpecker, and a dog. Disclaimer: Explicit content. Don’t take anything seriously, no offense is intended

Comedian/financial Adviser Kent Tilley is back to take a look at goofy horror films. And who better than a former guest of Jp and Shawn's who has endured such films as "Zombeavers", "Shark Night", and the insufferable "Tusk" to have to select a goofy horror. Could the movie selected be worse than all three of the movies he's previously endured? Remember to check out our featured artist of the month Billy Wild and his new single "That's It"
Sharks and video games on this weeks episode. While Dayle beat a game, Zack has no regrets!

Shark Night is a movie about river sharks and snuff films. Jason doesn't care for it, Todd thinks it's delightful, and this of course leads to debates about politics, racism, sexism, and a whole litany of things that these two old jackasses have no business discussing. You put on a bad movie about sharks, and this is the kind of armchair politics you are asking for!

Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water a terrible shark movie surfaces and kills your joy. Shark Night formerly 3D now rendered helplessly impotent, more so than originally, is a terrible little shark movie with almost the attempt at a justification of increasing violent trends in media. Shark Night is a pitiful attempt at lake Jaws. The cast is lackluster and under developed, the effects are depressingly bad and the story is boring and preachy all at the same time! It's a completely avoidable and forgettable movie that you should do both for. Enlist today! A primal fear is explored this week by your host and random Canadian Larry Parsons and fellow selachophobe Charlene Roche: The fear of being eaten. In this case- eaten by an animal that swims every corner of every ocean on the planet- the shark. We are Shark Week junkies and thus we are informed that this fear we share is irrational and even a little silly. Still- these titles the good the bad and in between all chill our blood. So thrilled to have Chuckworld on the show. Expect spoilers for the films discussed as well as some harsh language. Write RankNReview at ranknreview@gmail.com. Thanks for listening to the podcast and for spreading the word about the show.
