ENTERTAINING SHORT FILMS is a new category on the RPA Network, which features indie short films for your enjoyment! We applaud these creators! Two sisters return to their childhood home and are drawn into a nightmarish realm where they're hunted by a monstrous doppelgänger of their late father—forcing them to confront the buried trauma he left behind and a horrifying truth. The film is an emotionally charged exploration of repressed trauma and the monsters we inherit. Blending supernatural horror with psychological depth, The Seeker offers a chilling study on the cost of survival and the power of facing the past. Director's Statement: The Seeker is a deeply personal film born from a period of emotional upheaval in my own life. Writing this story became a way to explore the complex effects unresolved trauma has on an individual and the ripple effects it has on relationships. Harriet's journey in the film serves as a metaphor for therapy itself: a confrontation with buried memories and the pain of healing. This emotional process influenced the visual language of the film, manifesting in a red, nightmarish world that represents the evolving and often distorted nature of memory. Although The Seeker is rooted in personal reflection, I was acutely aware of the responsibility that comes with portraying trauma, particularly that stemming from abuse—an experience I have not personally endured. To ensure the film was authentic and respectful, I sought out the perspectives and insights of abuse survivors during development. Their generosity and honesty were instrumental in shaping the film's emotional core. While the film does not shy away from discomfort, I hope its ultimate message resonates with viewers: that confronting trauma, however painful, is essential for healing and the rebuilding of healthy relationships.

This Tuesday, October 28, I'm hosting The Short Take — a free, one-time-only live workshop for film lovers who want to watch and think together. We'll watch an award-winning 22-minute short from 2017 that looks at queer history — and who gets to tell it. It's a film I haven't stopped thinking about in the last 8 years. Then, we'll rewatch key scenes and unpack how the film's form (e.g. blocking, shot choice, editing, production design, and more) shapes what it makes us feel.

Don't let the fact that this is TECHNICALLY a rock opera (ugh) dissuade you from putting on your foam wig and experiencing this all-time indie classic. Learn how this mindset shift can transform your storytelling approach, whether you're making a 5-minute short or a 2-hour feature.

On September 27, 2025, President Donald Trump reposted an AI-generated video of himself revealing the existence of medbeds on his Truth Social account, only to withdraw it from circulation a few hours later. This was no accident. His revelation was to open the door to people questioning the existence of incredible healing technologies that have been suppressed by the Deep State since the 1970s. Millions are now questioning whether such advanced healing technology exists despite the desperate efforts of legacy media to dismiss Trump's revelatory post as a hoax.Presented here is 2 minute information/invitation to join Dr. Salla, George Kavassilas and JP on October 25 for a webinar presentation on what's is coming, perhaps soon. ENTERTAINING SHORT FILMS is a new category on the RPA Network, which features indie short films for your enjoyment! We applaud these creators! A woman wakes up in a room with no memory of who she is or how she got there.
John and Craig discuss short films: what makes a great short, when should you make one, and what should you realistically expect out of it? We also update our predictions on whether the career of “screenwriter” can survive potential global catastrophes. We then answer listener questions on staff writer wages and using URLs in a script. In our bonus segment for premium members, John and Craig talk intermissions and why more movies should have them.
