Fresh off a national record and his electrifying 800m performance at the Millrose Games, Cooper Lutkenhaus returns to the podcast today. Cooper, a Texas native and only 16 years old, is already being lauded for his ferocious and insanely strong kick during racing. Recently, he set a new indoor high school national record in the 800m, flying to a 1:46.86. Prior to showing up to the Millrose Games, Cooper ran against collegiate runners at the Texas Tech Invite, where he set a high school U.S. sophomore record with a time of 1:50.15. During his breakout freshman year, Cooper won three national meets and a Texas Class 5A state title in the 800m, while also finishing 47th in the Class 5A cross country state meet with a time of 16:23.4 in the 5k. Cooper comes from a family of supremely-talented athletes: his father George was a state runner-up in the 1600m in 1995; and his brother Andrew ran a 1:50.04 in the 800m in high school. Cooper has shown impressive range as an athlete as far back as middle school, competing in football, wrestling, and basketball–in addition to track and XC. Cooper's personal bests in his short career so far include outdoor times of 22.12 in the 200m; 47.33 in the 400m; 4:14.17 in the 1600m; and the aforementioned 800m indoor record of 1:46.86.In today's conversation, Cooper takes me through his record-breaking Millrose 800m, what led into this race, his ambitions for the rest of the season, his thoughts on when he'll go Pro, what athletes he looks up to, in-depth insights on his training, and so much more. Today on the Call Room Road To Balboa, I'm joined by the one and only Manny Putz! Manny placed 5th last year at NXN as a junior and is a 3xWisconsin State Champion in XC as well as a pair of titles on the track. He was the Wisconsin Gatorade Player of the Year in both his Sophmore and Junior years in XC. Manny holds PRs of 2:00 (800m), 4:12 (1,600m), 8:56 (2-Mile), and 14:32 (5k XC). But back in the day, Manny was a stud, too, setting a national record in the 1500m for 12-year-olds running 4:18.10. Manny is committed to running for Wisconsin next year. In today's conversation, Manny takes me through his successful high school career thus far, his upbringing in sport, his training and why low milage works for him, how he handles comparison, his recuriting process, his mindset going into Foot Locker, and much more! Manny brought the energy, and I thoroughly enjoyed this one! Tap into the Manny Putz Special. CONNOR BURNS & SIMEON BIRNBAUM RETURN TO THE PODCAST You ask, we deliver. After months of requests to get the villains back on the podcast, we came through. Connor Burns & Simeon Birnbaum were two of the greatest high school runners of all-time and graduted high school this past spring. Both broke the 4-minute mile barrier, and set countless state records, and in Connor's case a National Record in the 5k by running 13:37. Simeon had one of the greatest seasons ever by a high schooler breaking record after record and turning heads with every race. Both run for The University of Oregon and will be starting their Sophmore year this upcoming Fall. Last year, we launched The Call Room with them, which was not only widely successful, but also incredibly fun and entertaining. Anytime they come on a podcast, it's a blast and turns some heads with hilarious takes. In today's episode, Connor and Simeon recap their freshman year in full, take us through their summer training, running 100 mile weeks, unheard stories, and answer YOUR listener questions! This is a podcast for the books. Tap into the Connor Burns & Simeon Birnbaum Special. You can listen wherever you find your podcasts by searching "The Running Effect Podcast." Welcome back to Season 4 (and 50th Episode) of the Record Report! For this episode, we're heading south to North Carolina to review Little Brother's Sophmore album The Menstrual Show. At the time of this album's release, the group faced scrutiny for its polarizing concept, which references the offensive shows of the same name that were popular in the early 1900s. Despite the controversy, the group managed to create arguably the best album in their catalog. Using a satirical television show to make fun of the state of mainstream hip hop at the time, while illustrating the true struggles of a rap artist. Like they always do this time, Vance and Ahmad pick their Top 3 tracks, discuss The Menstrual Show's effects on Little Brother's commercial success, and how their music impacted Hip Hop's next generations to come. We also mention what we've been listening to lately, Kanye West, and old commercial jingles. @Yo_Ahki/@VanceB_ Listen to this new episode and previous others on: Apple Podcasts (https://tinyurl.com/jydzz9fk) Spotify (https://tinyurl.com/c3u77hcf) Anchor (https://anchor.fm/recordreport) Follow Record Report Podcast on: Instagram: (@RecordRepPod) Facebook: Facebook.com/RecordReportPodcast Twitter: https://twitter.com/recreppodcast?lang=en #LittleBrother #NorthCarolina #Durham #HipHop #Raleigh #DJJazzyJeff #Phonte #BigPoo #9thWonder #Samples #Radio #Podcast #ChapelHill

The semester started off with me falling right back into isolation and depression -- trying to regain things I once had while, in many senses of the term, being the villain in my own story. But, then, a long came a friend who introduced me to an incredible girl (sounds kind of familiar?), and there was a beautiful mess of a love story between the two of us. At the very least, this love story was my motivation to continue writing this autobiography and, more specifically, my motivation for most of the Book of Purple (i.e. Season 4 of this here podcast).

Challenges, pros, and cons of running food-based products and how they market them online in spite of community guidelines experiences, and other problems. We also discussed ways and funnels to win the marketing campaign. Think of a high school club, and you might think about a group of young students meeting regularly to engage in a common topic. Accurate, but the Del Norte High School's Team Optix 3749 Club builds robots and competes with them. This, and so much more.At its core, the purpose behind Team Optix 3749 is to provide an environment for students to learn about technology and robotics; to offer a place for them to build and test their own robots as they prepare to compete in the FIRST Robotics Competitions.Listen to our guests, Nicole Pi and James Hunt, and you'll hear about a highly successful club that gets students to participate; successful in raising funds to keep the club running; and successful in building and competing with their robots. And this is where things go way beyond just their club. The mission for Team Optix 3749 is to also lend aid to the community by teaching students valuable skills in computer science, business, entrepreneurship, and other fields that are often not included in school curriculums. The team also graciously shares some of the funds they raise with other clubs in the high school to ensure they can enhance the learning and life experiences of more students.Furthermore, the team also goes above and beyond technology and business in the community to help the citizens as they host food and supply drives; they did not allow the current pandemic to deter them.Team Optix 3749 hopes to expand its impact to reach more students and do more for the community. Our hope is that you listen to this episode and leave with a bit of inspiration to take action yourself.GuestsNicole Pi, VP of Strategy of Team Optix 3749 | Sophmore at Del Norte High School: class of 2023James Hunt, Outreach Director of Team Optix 3749 | Junior at Del Norte High School: class of 2022This Episode's SponsorsBugcrowd: https://itspm.ag/itspbgcwebDevo: https://itspm.ag/itspdvwebResourcesTeam Optix is Del Norte High School's FIRST Robotics Competition team: https://www.team3749.orgTo see and hear more The Academy content on ITSPmagazine, visit:https://www.itspmagazine.com/the-academyAre you interested in sponsoring an ITSPmagazine Channel?https://www.itspmagazine.com/podcast-series-sponsorships

So…. The year was 2016. I'm going to paint the picture by first telling you what was going on in Bre's life and what was going on in Dre's life before we were introduced. I was running my Shameless business in Cleveland and was in an off and on again relationship with a man who I was with for a little over a year. At 1 point, I saw myself being with him long term. He had 3 children from a past marriage and I was willing to be a whole stepmama. I loved his kids, it seemed like we were really serious but I kept seeing red flags of cheating, lying and just plain disrespect. Meanwhile, Dre is in DC working as a property manager and casually dating. At this time he was interested in another woman who he had been on a few dates with. Nothing serious but he definitely saw potential in her. His cousin hit him up and invited him to a bar to meet this couple who he had met earlier in the day. The couple was my friends Jordynn & Will. Jordynn and I met freshman year of college at North Carolina A&T and Will had been her boyfriend since Sophmore year. They are originally from North Carolina and were living in DC temporarily. I get a phone call from Jordynn saying that she thinks she met the one for me. She instantly tries to hook us up, telling him great things about me and telling me great things about him. I was saying how I have a boyfriend and I live all the way in Cleveland so there's no way it workout. Keep in mind, at this time we were both sexually active and waiting for marriage wasn't even a thought. A couple of weeks later, I ended up visiting Jordynn in DC. My boyfriend at the time was supposed to be coming with me but I found out that he was cheating on me right before the trip. I was so devastated. So I make the trip alone and as you could guess, Jordynn had arranged for me to meet Dre while I was there. I was actually kind of excited to go on a date with a random person and just forget about what was going on back home. Dre was such a gentleman. I mean opening all my doors, very respectful, a great listener and he even played the piano for me on our first date. He took me to what's now my favorite place to eat, Earls in Tysons Corner for dinner. I had the dynamite sushi roll for an appetizer, the salmon dinner for my entree and the toffee cake for dessert. It was so yummy!I think we were both surprised at how much of a good time we were having. He honestly only took me out because Jordynn wouldn't let up, he was still interested in someone else and just like I had said, we lived states apart, it wouldn't work. That next night, him, his cousin, me, Jordynn and Will all went out to this bar and this is where things got crazy. It was an open bar from 10-11 and we got there around 10:45. We all grabbed 6 rounds of drinks and within in 30 minutes we were pretty turned up. I remember crying a lot about my ex at the time and basically doing everything I could to mess up the potential of Dre taking me seriously. It was pretty bad. I was even willing to sleep with him just to make myself feel better about being cheated on. That night we fooled around and slept in the same bed, we hung out Sunday for a little bit and then I went back to Cleveland like nothing ever happened.Obviously, because I was young and dumb and thought I was in love, I took my cheating ex-boyfriend back all for him to cheat on me again. Except this time it worst. I actually had someone show me pictures and videos of him with multiple young girls. I found out his “business trips” were actually trips to visit other women and I just felt so stupid.I was at a point where I felt like it was something wrong with me. I couldn't understand why he would do this to me, and why I wasn't enough.Tune in for more.....
