With 166 standing ovations in a single address, the State of the Union revealed more than policy priorities — it exposed the heart of America. Kevin and Bill review the real accomplishments along with the issues left unaddressed, in Trump's 2026 State of the Union address.
Last night's State of the Union brought big moments—and Joe Pags breaks down his favorites. From the strongest applause lines to the most powerful themes, he walks you through what landed and why it mattered. But the real fireworks? Some Democrats refusing to stand—even for American citizens being honored. Pags calls it out, then plays their own defenses back so you can decide. Callers light up the lines with their favorite moments, biggest surprises, and sharpest takes. It's a high-energy, can't-miss recap of a major speech—with plenty of Pags-style commentary and crowd reaction woven in. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Microsoft’s Notepad Upgrade Also Introduced a Vulnerability | PCMag Microsoft’s recent Notepad modernization introduced CVE-2026-20841, a vulnerability in the new Markdown support feature that allows malicious links in files to execute remote code. The flaw has been patched in the February 2026 security updates, but it highlights the security trade-offs when adding features to historically simple applications. The vulnerability exploits Notepad’s Markdown rendering capability, which Microsoft added in May to support lightweight markup language formatting. When Notepad opens a specially crafted Markdown file, embedded malicious links can trigger unverified protocols that load and execute remote files on the system. This incident raises questions about feature bloat in core Windows utilities, particularly as Microsoft continues adding network-dependent capabilities like AI-powered text writing to Notepad. What kind of arguments are they anticipating from both sides? How will this discussion resonate in Israel? And why did we feel this was the right time to convene this debate? Rudyard and Janice then turn to the stalemate between Ukraine and Russia. After all of the negotiations neither side will agree to terms of territorial concessions. Should Zelensky accept a modification of the 28-point deal that would lead to the end of his political career? and what are Russia's long term designs for Ukraine and its relationship with the West? In the second half of the show Rudyard and Janice discuss the memorandum of understanding between Ottawa and Alberta in which both sides have agreed to work on approving a bitumen pipeline. We are witnessing a reset of Alberta's relationship with Ottawa and it is astonishing to watch Mark Carney, a liberal Prime Minister, get a standing ovation in Alberta. This agreement will anger British Columbia voters and indigenous nations in the area. Why is he doing this? Can he strengthen national unity? And if this pipeline makes it through all the approval processes and actually gets built, what will the demand for oil be in ten years?

0:00 - How will the Broncos defense stack up against Danny Dimes 2.0? Can the Colts defense shut down Bo Nix just like they shut down Tua and the Dolphins? Let's see what our ESPN Broncos Insider has to say about Sunday's matchup. 17:48 - Let's dig deeper into the Broncos offense vs Colts defense. What do the numbers suggest? Also, Pablo Torre added another wrinkle to this weird Kawhi Leonard Tree...Clippers...no show job...endorsement...cap circumventing debacle. 34:54 - Supposedly, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is headed for an Oscar with his new movie "The Smashing Machine." At its premiere, the film received a 15-minute standing ovation. Let me say that again. The movie premiered. It wrapped up. Then, the theater stood and CLAPPED FOR 15 CONSECUTIVE MINUTES. That's unfathomable. Brett asked the question: is there anything in this life that you'd spend 15 minutes applauding?
Sit down for this one because Thor takes a shot at people who give out standing ovations like it's nothing on this week's Thor's Midweek Meltdown

In hour 2, the WIP Midday Show are discussing how the Eagles may come out of the gate offensively tonight. With the general consensus a strong run game with a heavy dose of Saquon Barkley! Plus, discussing if Eagles fans should give Jerry Jones a standing ovation for his incompetence. As well as, recapping the Phillies game last night
James Seltzer, in for Joe DeCamara on the the 94 WIP Morning Show, is against Jose Alvarado getting a standing ovation in his first game back with the Phillies after being suspended for PEDs earlier this season. Rob Thomson, last night, said it was an 'honest mistake' that Alvarado made, but James, Rhea Hughes, and Justin Dorazio were not buying it. Rhea made a good point- that the fans at the stadium stood and cheered more because the team has been winning rather than about Alvarado. Trea Turner has been playing awesome lately.
Ben Davis thinks the series versus the Mariners was the best series the Phillies have played in the last 5 years. Last night was the first game that Jose Alvarado has pitched in the MLB since he was suspended for PEDs. The fans at Citizen's Bank Park gave him a standing ovation. The 94 WIP Morning Show wasn't so happy with that idea. Rob Thomson in an interview last night said it was an 'honest mistake' and he was happy that the fans accepted him back. James and the Morning team think that what he did to the organization was selfish. Trea Turner has been a rock-star lately.
Jose Alvarado returned to the bullpen yesterday for the Phillies after serving his 80 game suspension for the use of PED's. To many Phillies fans surprise however Alvarado was welcomed back to a standing ovation. Joe Giglio is not a fan of a guy getting a standing ovation for letting the team down. How do you feel about Alvarado receiving a standing ovation?
Evan is mad the Mets fans cheered for Gavin Williams after his near no-hitter at Citi Field.
