CLICK TO SUBSCRIBE ON YOUR FAVORITE PODCATCHER CONTENT WARNING: Discussion of murder, arguments, Italian stereotypes, strong language. This week we continue our 90's grab bag with a movie that deals with two “yutes” in a southern town with a big respect for the law. In fact, both the judge and prosecutor in this small town have such respect for legal procedure that the entire comedy of this movie revolves around Vinny Gambini figuring out how to navigate that while still being the mouthy New York wiseguy he clearly is. This is one of those rare cases where a very small, simple comedy pays such attention to the details that you can't help but be drawn in. It's got all the intrigue of a courtroom drama with all the goofy shenanigans of a fish-out-of-water comedy. And don't get us started on Marisa Tomei in this very worthy Oscar performance. Brush up on your court procedure and get ready for My Cousin Vinny this week on Macintosh & Maud Haven't Seen What?! You can email us with feedback at macintoshandmaud@gmail.com, or you can connect with us on Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Also please subscribe, rate and review the show on your favorite podcatcher, and tell your friends. Intro and outro music taken from the Second Movement of Ludwig von Beethoven's 9th Symphony. Like those Amblin dinosaurs once said: We're back! Blindspots returns from a several-monthlong hiatus, and our hosts are bringing the laughs in the form of a largely defunct genre: the classic American studio comedy. Up first, Jake recommends Peter Bogdanovich's 1972 romantic screwball masterpiece, What's Up Doc? Then, Kristy brings Jonathan Lynn's excellent 1993 courtroom comedy, My Cousin Vinny, to the table. It's an episode filled with Barbara Streisand, Joe Pesci, car chases, grits, and more!Music from the episode includes "Your the Top" performed by Barbra Streisand and "Way Down South" by Edgar Winter

Today, Dave is happy to share with you what he's learned about the Crookneck Squash, a very popular type of summer squash! Get ready to relax and learn. Note: At 5:44.5, you can hear the tiniest bit of a meow, from a friendly cat who rightly thinks it's weird for someone to be locked in a room recording when they could be hanging out with a cat. You can find more at Rplants.wordpress.com, or check out @Randoplants on Twitter and Tumbler. Music: "Way Down South" by Vess L.
