The report highlights 20 countries where Christians face persecution. These countries include China, Cuba, India, Iran, and Nigeria. The report also put a spotlight on leaders of countries where persecution is worsening. These leaders include Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega, Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The report noted, “Despite mounting repression, Christianity continues to grow in unexpected places.” Examples of this include the Iranian house church movement and China's underground churches. Hebrews 13:3 says, “Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.” Christian British nurse, who affirmed biological accuracy, left alone The United Kingdom's Nursing and Midwifery Council dropped its case against a Christian nurse last week. Jennifer Melle worked at a hospital in London. In 2024, she used biologically-accurate pronouns with a patient who was pretending to be the opposite sex. She then faced suspension and an investigation. Thankfully, the nursing regulatory body has ended its case against her.  Melle commented, “Regulators should protect patients from real harm, not punish nurses for holding Christian beliefs, speaking truthfully about biological sex, or raising serious concerns in the public interest.” Trump: Ceasefire with Iran is over after Iran attacked ships in Strait The United States carried out retaliatory strikes on Iran yesterday. The strikes came hours after Iran attacked commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz. The Trump administration also restored sanctions on Iran's oil sales. U.S. President Donald Trump told reporters he considers the ceasefire with Iran to be over.  Listen. TRUMP: “They're vicious, violent people. If they had a nuclear weapon, they'd use it. As far as I'm concerned, it's over. I'll speak to our negotiators. They want to negotiate. They're good people: Steve Witkoff, Jared Kushner. But they have to come back to me. As far as I'm concerned, it's just a waste of time dealing with them.” Ban on Planned Parenthood funding expired last week The federal government's ban on Medicaid funding for Planned Parenthood expired last week. Congress passed legislation last year that cut the funding for just one year. As a result, dozens of Planned Parenthood locations have closed since then. However, the abortion giant can now resume its reimbursement from Medicaid. Some Republican lawmakers are calling for another bill to defund Planned Parenthood.  Call your Congressman at 202-225-3121 and ask him or her to vote to continue to defund the abortion giant Planned Parenthood. Young Men's Christian Assoc. allows men in women's locker rooms Parents are calling on the Young Men's Christian Association to change its transgender policies. The publicly-funded organization allows men, pretending to be women, in women's bathrooms and locker rooms.  The American Parents Coalition says this violates a recent U.S. Supreme Court ruling. The decision affirmed that Title IX protections in federal law are based on biological sex. The coalition stated, “The YMCA has ignored parents' concerns for far too long while maintaining policies that undermine the privacy, safety, and fairness Title IX was enacted to protect.” Plus, it violates the group's stated vision which was to put Christian values into practice by developing a healthy body, mind, and spirit. Send a polite, 2-sentence letter of objection to the president of the Young Men's Christian Association and ask them to live up to their name and their Biblical founding by opposing this transgender insanity. Trump's tariffs led to Toyota announcing $3.6 billion U.S. expansion Toyota is expanding its manufacturing in the United States. On Monday, the Japanese car maker announced a $3.6 billion expansion in San Antonio, Texas. This will move some of its production from Mexico to the U.S. It will also bring about 2,000 new jobs to the Lone Star State. This expansion comes after the Trump administration imposed tariffs on imported vehicles and auto parts.  Presbyterian Church U.S.A. defends transgender surgeries for kids The largest Presbyterian denomination in the United States supported transgender surgeries last week. The General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church USA voted 441-30 in favor of an overture known as “On Access to Healthcare.” The measure defends body-mutilating surgeries for people, including children, who pretend to be the opposite sex. 2 Timothy 4:3-4 says, “For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.” Christian US soccer player: “I'm just trying to bring people into His light.” The American men's soccer team lost to Belgium on Monday. The game knocked the U.S. out of the 2026 World Cup. Despite the loss, players on the U.S. team continued their practice of praying together on the field after the game. Player Mark McKenzie led the prayer, having become a spiritual leader on the team.  He told The Athletic, “The Lord is at the center of it all. He is the main purpose. … And I'm just trying to bring people into His light in some way.” Worldview listeners weigh in from Washington and North Carolina Rachel Lundberg in Washougal, Washington wrote, “I like The Worldview because It allows me to feel like I'm aware of important things going on without having to spend so much time watching other news and sorting it out or wondering if it's true. Fred from the Subarctic Alaska Sasquatch YouTube Channel returns to the show with two chilling reported encounters from the Alaskan wilderness, each involving a large, aggressive, humanlike creature and witnesses forced to flee under terrifying circumstances.In the first account, Timothy, an aspiring bush pilot, flies from Anchorage to Big Lake in June before continuing by floatplane to a remote pond near a friend's cabin. While hiking a ridge late in the evening — despite the lingering daylight near 11 p.m. — Timothy is overcome by an intense feeling of unease. Moments later, he sees trees violently shaking, hears guttural clicks and eerie cackling sounds, and spots a massive dark figure he estimates to be 13 to 14 feet tall.The encounter escalates when the creature appears to throw the top half of a spruce tree in his direction. Timothy fires his shotgun, then empties his .44 Magnum at what he describes as a crouched, spider-crawling mass. The figure suddenly rises to its full height, lets out a horrifying scream, and Timothy makes a desperate escape back to his floatplane.The second account comes from brothers Derek and James, who describe a frightening 1979 trip along Alaska's Snake River. While traveling through dense fog, they hear a powerful whoop and soon see a dark shape rise up into a massive bipedal form. The encounter intensifies as rocks are thrown and the creature begins making strange, motor-like imitation sounds, forcing the brothers to flee. Francis Scarcella - Miranda Barbour: Inside the Mind of a Teenage KillerJan 11, 2024The Satan worshiping teen charged with murdering a 42-year-old man she lured through Craigslist claims two other men responded to her ad but failed to show up.Miranda Barbour, 19, and her husband, Elytte Barbour, 22, are accused of stabbing and strangling Troy LaFerrara in Pennsylvania, after he responded to her ad for 'female companionship' in November.However Barbour now claims that two other unidentified men narrowly escaped death by failing to keep their appointments.'I tried it a few times but it never worked out,' Barbour told The Daily Item in her second jailhouse interview in six weeks.'I knew we (Elytte Barbour) were going to do this since the day we met, and we tried, but the others just didn't show up.'Barbour claimed in her first jailhouse interview on February 14 that she killed at least 22 other people over six years in a cross-country murder spree motivated by her satanic cult beliefs.During her second jailhouse interview at the State Correctional Institution in Muncy, a maximum security women's prison, Barbour repeated her claims and said the FBI have not questioned her.She said she was prepared to show authorities where she hid the bodies.'I said before I would talk to them (FBI) about all of this, but they never came to see me,' she told The Daily Item.'They are looking for full bodies. They won't find any. That work took him to East Anchorage and eventually to Big Lake. He and his wife Linn entered politics as supporters of Sarah Palin for governor in the mid-2000s. Two passengers have filed separate federal lawsuits following last week's Minneapolis-to-Toronto Delta crash. Twin Cities resident Hannah Krebs, filed one of the suits while the other was filed by a Texas man. Krebs' lawsuit claims the crash was caused by the flight crew's "gross negligence and recklessness."And, after more than 15 years, change may be coming for the Northstar Commuter Rail between the Twin Cities and Big Lake. Francis Scarcella - Miranda Barbour: Inside the Mind of a Teenage KillerJanuary 11The Satan worshiping teen charged with murdering a 42-year-old man she lured through Craigslist claims two other men responded to her ad but failed to show up.Miranda Barbour, 19, and her husband, Elytte Barbour, 22, are accused of stabbing and strangling Troy LaFerrara in Pennsylvania, after he responded to her ad for 'female companionship' in November.However Barbour now claims that two other unidentified men narrowly escaped death by failing to keep their appointments.'I tried it a few times but it never worked out,' Barbour told The Daily Item in her second jailhouse interview in six weeks.'I knew we (Elytte Barbour) were going to do this since the day we met, and we tried, but the others just didn't show up.'Barbour claimed in her first jailhouse interview on February 14 that she killed at least 22 other people over six years in a cross-country murder spree motivated by her satanic cult beliefs.During her second jailhouse interview at the State Correctional Institution in Muncy, a maximum security women's prison, Barbour repeated her claims and said the FBI have not questioned her.She said she was prepared to show authorities where she hid the bodies.'I said before I would talk to them (FBI) about all of this, but they never came to see me,' she told The Daily Item.'They are looking for full bodies. They won't find any. But they will find body parts.'The Daily Item reported that local investigators in three murder locations named by Barbour are taking the claims seriously, but said they have no unresolved homicides they know about.Barbour said she dumped some body parts in Big Lake, Alaska, and also in Mexico Beach, Florida where she worked as a 15-year-old go-go dancer.She also said she dumped a body off Interstate 95 near Raleigh, North Carolina.Barbour lived in Alaska, Florida and North Carolina before moving to Selinsgrove last fall with her husband.Sunbury police say the couple murdered LaFerrara the day of their three-week wedding anniversary and Elyette Babour's 22nd birthday.Elytte Barbour had allegedly told police he and his wife wanted to kill together.In her sensational first jailhouse interview in February, Barbour claimed she killed 22 people in the past six years in Alaska, Texas, North Carolina and California.Explaining that she adopted a murderous alter ego she dubbed 'Super Miranda' when she killed, Barbour said that she kept a favorite knife that had notches on - one for each of her victims.Speaking to TMZ about the horrifying admission from Barbour, Daily Item reporter, Francis Scarella said that he omitted the frightening and unsubstantiated number from his story.However, he confirmed that like the fictitious serial killer Dexter, Barbour said she only killed bad people - those who abused children or owed money and that her satanism controlled her murderous rages.Indeed, Scarella told TMZ he spoke with an ex-roomate of Barbour's who said that the abused teen possessed two vials of semen belonging to her husband and that she used them to masturbate in a satanic ritual.Claiming that she only killed 'bad people who do bad things' in her self-confessed nationwide murder-spree, Barbour has been compared to the fictitious 'moral' serial killer played by Michael C. This week, in Big Lake Township, Minnesota, the horrible & gruesome discovery of a murder leads police in circles, with the case quickly going cold. There is plenty of DNA, but it doesn't match any of the suspects. After almost 10 years, a witness comes forward with the smallest of tips, that leads to a local Cub Scout leader, with an interesting past, and a very strange story, that doesn't quite add up. I recorded this on a breezy winter afternoon beside Big Lake in the northeast corner of Shasta County, California. The sky started off mostly cloudy with rain showers to the west, but the showers dissipated as they moved eastward towards the lake, and the clouds broke up allowing the sun to shine through. In this episode the constant lapping of small wind waves against the tule lined shore is punctuated by the soft sound of the wind blowing through the bare branches of nearby trees and the gentle rustling of dry grasses. Various species of ducks call as they bob on the surface in large flocks far out on the lake. Geese are heard in the distance calling from the ground, with the occasional flock heard flying high above. Listen for the solitary call of a Red Tailed Hawk, and distant flocks of Sandhill Cranes in flight. There was an unfortunate amount of air traffic the day this was recorded, but I liked this recording too much not to share it with you. I hope you like it as well and don't mind the air traffic too much. I recently got a new production assistant! She is a sweet dog named Molly and she was a big help with this episode. In this one, Cody talks to two Alaskans about Christmases they'll never forget. The first story comes from Beau Schooler. In 1990, he was living in Big Lake when his family was awarded a moose from the Alaska Roadkill Salvage Program. At the time, Beau's family didn't have much money, so the moose provided them with a hearty Christmas dinner, as well as meat that lasted them throughout the winter. It was an experience that would eventually add to Beau's decision to become a chef.   The second story comes from Diana Michlig. It's about getting stuck behind an avalanche on the Seward Highway, back in 1988, just a few miles away from her home in Girdwood. She had recently gotten stuck behind another avalanche about a month before. That time, she had to stay the night in her car. So, this second time, she was determined not to do that again. Because if she did, she would miss Christmas with her kids. So, she waded her way through the avalanche, singing Christmas carols along the way.   A Christmas story is rarely ever just a story about Christmas. It's about the festivities, sure, but it's also about family, friends and perseverance. Getting together and making Christmas happen regardless of weather or money.
