Co-Director of the Institute for Digital Research in the Humanities, Dr. Tell's work “focuses on issues of race, memory, and the digital humanities. Since 2014, [he's centered] on the legacy of the murder of Emmett Till in the Mississippi Delta. As a long-time partner with the Emmett Till Memorial Commission of Tallahatchie County, Inc., Dr. Tell's work has a strong public focus.” Gus was motivated to read his 2019 publication, Remembering Emmett Till, after hearing a recent report where Till's attempted family alleges that Suspected Racists are currently financially profiting from landmarks and memorials to the lynching. Dr. Tell's work is uniquely and meticulously focused on the correlation between geography and local White Supremacy/Racism in the Mississippi Delta. He highlights the role of the black journalists like Moses Newson, Clotye Murdock Larsson, Simeon Booker, Ruby Hurley, and even activists Medgar Evers and Dr. T. R. M. A professor in the University of Georgia's department of psychology, Dr. Skinner-Dorkenoo examines the psychology of “bias” and “prejudice” and how this thinking can be undone. Gus was intrigued when hearing about her report investigating White attitudes about Covid-19 once the racial disparities of the virus's spread were highlighted. White support of social distancing, masks and staying home drastically waned as did their overall fear of the coronavirus. We'll also discuss a related study which examines the medical notion of “race correction,” where White medical officials make decisions about treatments and diagnoses that vary according to the racial classification of the patient. These “corrections” mean black people receive less pain medication and organ transplants, and are considered intellectually inferior as it relates to their White counterparts. Dr. Skinner told us none of these "corrections" harm White patients. It seems to Gus what undergirds all of these problems is White people's collective dedication to the practice of White Supremacy/Racism. The University of Washington hosts Linh Thủy Nguyễn, non-white female, to discuss her brand new book, Displacing Kinship: The Intimacies of Intergenerational Trauma in Vietnamese American Cultural Production. Gus T. caught a flier for this event, but was more intrigued after investigating Professor Nguyễn's earlier report: “Loving Couples and Families:” Assimilation as Honorary Whiteness and the Making of the Vietnamese Refugee Family. In this 2021 exploration, Nguyễn acknowledges how non-white people born in Vietnam and non-white people classified as Asian at large are positioned in opposition to and apart from non-white people classified as black. Gus felt this was important to acknowledge since there's a frequent assumption that all non-white people are working together to solve The Problem. This point became more salient when Gus attended the event and observed Professor Nguyễn's partner, who appears to be a White Man.

Neutralizing Workplace Racism 05/10/24 Our beloved "Tumblin' Dice," a privileged black male who's allowed to operate a school bus transporting mostly White children, shared that he has now been charged with unprofessional conduct and terrorizing a White educator. It seems that a black dude questioning a White person about White educators Racially abusing him constitutes a threat - and may portend negro sexual aggression. We'll also revisit allegations of reckless and unsafe workplace culture at Boeing. Last week, we discussed the legal import of the term "whistleblower." This term confers legal protections to a worker who reports misconduct or criminal activity. Theoretically, without the the threat of unjust reprisals, workers will be less fearful about reporting misconduct. However, two White Boeing whistleblowers (Joshua Dean; John Barnett) have died under suspicious circumstances. Gus T. has said for years, the plantation is not safe. And Boeing mass manufactures weapons to kill. A number of courageous listeners shared about the emotional impact their job is having on their mental health. Neutralizing Workplace Racism 04/26/24 Hilbert Hagedoorn reports EKWB, "a company known for its cooling solutions and custom-built PCs," is alleged to have operated a Texas office with a hostile workplace environment rife with White Supremacy/Racism. Reports allege "non-white" workers used the n-word to brand numerous black mechanical parts needed for air conditioning units. Additionally, black workers claim they were forced to work unpaid overtime hours. This practice is often called #WageTheft Importantly, Gus T. encourages that all non-white people practice Justice in the workplace and refrain from the use of any "racist slurs". Profane songs and/or crude attempts at humor provide White Supremacists and many brain-trashed, anti-black non-white people opportunities to spew their despicable opinions of black people with impunity. Isaiah Shoels and Kyle Velasquez, two non-white students, were among those killed and being remembered a quarter century later. Thirty years ago yesterday, Race Soldier Timothy McVeigh bombed an Oklahoma City Federal Building, killing over 200 people. McVeigh was motivated by White Supremacy/Racism and his slaughter briefly interrupted the 1995 murder trial of dearly departed OJ Simpson and motivated the Columbine bombing four years later. We also heard an update on the Wisconsin butchering of 19-year-old Sade Robinson. Authorities are still locating and searching for her remains throughout the Milwaukee region. Further east in Ohio, Loletha Hall, a 61-year-old delivery driver, was shot and killed by an 81-year-old Racist Suspect. Research Project Manager at the University of Pennsylvania's Perelman School of Medicine, Dr. Burdick examines reproductive justice, rhetoric and Racism/White Supremacy. She and WNBA number one draft pick Caitlin Clark are White Women and University of Iowa alumni. Gus found her 2024 report, “Let's Make the Womb Safe Again”: Ethnographic Explorations of White Evangelical Women's Language of Reproductive Injustice. This recent publication examines how White Women skillfully use words to shape reproductive policy. However, Gus was able to research further and located Dr. Burdick's 2023 dissertation, Spectacular Surveillance: Gender, White Christian Nationalism, and Evangelical Women in the Pro-Life Movement. This is a far more comprehensive treatment of the history and evolution of White Women's Work to shape thinking about and legal restrictions regarding sexual behavior and production of offspring. Dr. Burdick submits that White Women have been the foundation of the White evangelical-backed opposition to abortion. Their "pro-life" rhetoric consciously and subconsciously reifies that White Lives. Matter. In fact, they support the System of White Supremacy while employing Racial Showcasing to deceptively portray themselves as being in support of all human life and Justice. A professor and Waterloo Chair in Social and Political Philosophy of Language, Dr. Saul's area's of interest include: “Racist and sexist language, diversifying academia, implicit bias, pragmatics, deception.” Gus found her 2023 publication, Dogwhistles and Figleaves: How Manipulative Language Spreads Racism and Falsehood, while searching for recent publications. White employers still reject large numbers of applicants with names commonly associated with black people. Leroy and Lakeisha were two of the names used to suggest that the job seeker was classified as black. Interestingly, the report made no mention of the same sort of impact for people with non-black, non-white sounding names. We also discuss the tremendous increase in young workers entering the trade industry as opposed accruing 4 years of debt and the shaky job prospects of a college degree. We learn a teaspoon about the history of tipping wait staff - which is directly connected to the System of White Supremacy. Female workers in jurisdictions with reduced minimum wage for tipped workers are more likely to be subjected to sexual abuse on the job. Lincoln University continues to investigate the circumstances of her death and how White staff members at Lincoln University contributed to the Racist work environment Dr. Cadia-Bailey alleged before taking her life. St. Louis Public radio featured Adia Harvey Wingfield, PhD to place this tragic death within the context of White Supremacy/Racism in the area of labor. Wingfield authored Gray Areas: How The Way We Work Perpetuates Racism & What We Can Do To Fix It. This book was published in 2023, and Gus was just gave serious consideration to reading this book in the Katherine Massey Book Club. Wingfield's commentary on Dr. Cadia-Bailey, which completely omitted how black male educators are impacted by White Supremacy in the academy, helped explain why Gus selected a different book. We also discuss the pending court case ignited by the abuse of Titus Shields, privileged black male. One of Trump's competitor's for the White House, Nikki Haley, was roundly criticized for discussing causes for the US Civil War, but omitting slavery. It's common for White people to omit slavery when discussing factors for the US Civil War. And we'll hear about the "Prime Effect" at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Deion Sanders has made a big impact on the school's tackle football program, but it's hard to tackle the System of White Supremacy/Racism. A student of aeronautics and formed Manager of Land Sight Operations at Sea-Tac Airport in Washington state, we'll discuss Dr. Haddix's 2022 dissertation: The Motivation to Lead and Black Men's Lived Experiences in Airport Management. Dr. Haddix highlights that there is a substantial lack of research on what motivates black males to seek leadership positions in the workplace and even less data on the black male experience in the field of aviation. To make it explicit, in 2020, the Federal Aviation Administration reported that: “Of the 519 U.S. primary commercial service airports, fewer than 10 are led by African American men.” We'll explore the interviews that Dr. Haddix conducted with the rare black dude who manages a major airport. Gus noted that many of these well-educated aviators used a variety of exotic metaphors to convey their thoughts and experiences about the System of White Supremacy/Racism. One black male stated bluntly that “You have to be white.” Other black males seemed reluctant to acknowledge the existence of Racism at all. The Katherine Massey Book Club @ The C.O.W.S. hosts the debut session on Harry Dunn's Standing My Ground: A Capitol Police Officer's Fight for Accountability and Good Trouble After January 6th. Dunn is a privileged black male and has served with the U.S. Capitol Police since 2008 - the same year Barack Obama became president. Dunn was present for the infamous January 6th, 2021 Terrorist attacks at the U.S. Capitol building and reports that he was repeatedly called racist slurs and forced to use counter-violence to keep himself and others safe. A judge dismissed the claims of 11 plaintiffs, arguing that they lacked evidence to prove Racist abuse. Dr. Neocleous was resistant to revealing his racial classification, and only after lots of giggling and "buckets of words" did he finally admit that he is accepted as White. A Professor of the Critique of Political Economy in the Department of Social and Political Sciences at Brunel University London, Dr. Neocleous is a "critical theorist who focuses on questions of state and capital, especially as they pertain to police, security and war." He also has an "interest in the political imagination, especially concerning bodies, monstrosity, and death." We'll discuss his report: "The Monster And The Police: Dexter to Hobbes." A White serial killer (this time, fictitious) is equated to policing in general. Dexter's character does actually work for enforcement officials and adheres to a "police" code to aid in his undetected serial killing. The text details how the St. Louis region joined in the manufacture of components for one of the 1945 WWII weapons of mass destruction. After smacking around Tojo and the yellow people, Missouri citizens slowly became aware that of the devastating health consequences of exposure to radioactive waste. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Emily Flitter. A White Woman (Racist Suspect), New York Times journalist, Flitter covers banking and Wall Street in her highly acclaimed, well followed column. She began receiving individual reports about black people alleging mistreatment from White banking employees. Flitter launched an investigation into how the System of White Supremacy works in the area of economics. Her book, The White Wall: How Big Finance Bankrupts Black America, investigates the many ways that Whites financially rape and ruin black people. One of the key aspects of the book is how Whites deliberately withhold information from non-white people. Flitter presents this repeatedly and in a variety of different circumstances. White insurance appraisers have extraordinary discretion about which claims they pay, the criterion they use for determining payouts, and what information they divulge to the public. This often applies when black employees allege they are being mistreated by a financial institution. Private settlements frequently include non-disclosure agreements. In fact, Flitter documents how a number of companies begin destroying evidence before they initiate punitive action against black workers. Flitter, like most Whites, was very resistant to logically conclude and publicly acknowledge that she and other White people are more informed about White Supremacy/Racism. The Context of White Supremacy welcomes Amanda Lanata. A native of Louisiana, Lanata works for the Louisiana Main Street program, which allegedly changes the way people think and conduct business in downtown and commercial areas. An investor wanted Gus to speak with Ms. Lanata, a White Woman, about the water crisis in Jackson, Mississippi. Since this summer, the majority-black town has received global attention for recurring water failures which left black citizens in life-threatening danger. With this week's bomb cyclone and historically low temperatures across the northwestern hemisphere, pipes reportedly froze and burst in Jackson. We'll discuss this with Ms. Lanata, but we'll also make time to discuss her contribution to the Two Mississippi Museums project. Lanata was hired to help curate The Museum of Mississippi History and the Mississippi Civil Rights Museum. These institutes primarily tell the history of the state System of White Supremacy/Racism and the response from Victims like Fannie Lou Hamer and Medgar Evers. A Pulitzer Prize-winning author and a professor of history and Rothman Family Chair in the Humanities, specializing in environmental history and sustainability studies at the University of Florida, Mr. Davis has written a number a highly successful non-fiction books on the environment, the Gulf of Mexico and US history. Gus discovered his work while researching Florida's immense history of lynching black males. In 1989, Dr. Davis wrote, Whitewash in Florida The Lynching of Jesse James Payne and Its Aftermath. He details how "95%" of polled Florida Whites were "Kool & The Gang" with the 1945 lynching of Mr. Payne #WorthlessNegroFromFlorida In fact, many Whites in Florida were more angered about the prospect of the Payne lynching drawing unwanted attention to the southern style of practicing White Supremacy/Racism. Gus asked about the homoerotic and homosocial components of lynching, where White men drank beers and formed a brotherhood around mutilating the genitals of black males. We even compared the history of White lynching to their pastimes of coon and foxiung hunting. We also made time to discuss Dr. Davis's book, Race Against Time: Culture and Separation in Natchez Since 1930 - which examines the history of White culture and White Supremacy/Racism in the Magnolia state. Abdul-Rauf's black mother did not graduate high school and was likely illiterate. We heard about black people name-calling other black people and more details about attempted black parents having random sex partners (boyfriends) around their young offspring. Abdul-Rauf's mother beat him when he was young and shouted at him for being fidgety. He's scheduled to be sentenced next year, and could still face the death penalty for the federal charges related to his attack. Gus T. hopes to be in west New York for the sentencing. After we spent the whole summer hand-ringing about the poisoned and insufficient water in Jackson, Mississippi, Houston, Texas received a boil water notice this week. Large numbers of black people reside in this "Lone Star" city, and Victims of Racism has fewer resources to compensate for these sort of crises. In Missouri, Kevin Johnson was executed as a convicted "cop killer" even after evidence demonstrated White Supremacy/Racism during his court proceedings. In San Francisco, California, enforcement officials ponder if employing robots with lethal force will improve Bay Area policing. Speaking of enforcement officials, Austin Lee Edwards worked for two Virginia enforcement agencies and allegedly had a "spotless" record before he drove to California to kidnap a 15-year-old child. Russell passed away on July 31st of this year at the age of 88. The NBA titan is the first black head coach in US professional sports history. This includes being the only person in basketball history to win an NBA championship as a player/coach. Gus is a bit stunned that we've almost finished this book, and Mr. Russell apparently left out the time when White Terrorists broke into his residence and defecated in his bed. #BringingUpOldIsh Last week, Russell gave details about his refusal to sign autographs. He said this refusal angered Whites more than anything he said about White Supremacy/Racism. This also surprised Gus, because Russell wrote this statement well after his support of draft-dodging Muhammad Ali in 1967. But after reflection, Gus recalled the FBI mentioned Russell's autograph impertinence when justifying their COINTELPRO surveillance of him. The sassy Russell used the same logic to reject his Hall of Fame induction. He talked about the Racist Suspects who formed this basketball institution and how they made rules to sanctify their White hoops friends. He also called out Hall of Fame Racists by name, such as: William Mokray, Adolph Rupp and Abe Saperstein. Mokray worked for the Celtics, repeatedly lied to Russell and bamboozled him into performing niggling tasks. Rupp was a devout White Supremacist who bragged about maintaining an all White squad at the University of Kentucky. The Director and President of Behind The Line, Inc., Dr. Brown holds a Bachelor of Social Work from Salisbury University, her Master of Science from Capella University, and completed her Ph.D. in Forensic Psychology at Walden University. She is certified to teach both Critical Incident Stress Management and Mental Health First Aid, and she helps instruct cadets in the mental health unit at the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy. We'll discuss her 2022 dissertation: The Role of Child and Adult Sexual Fantasies and Criminal Paraphilia Involving Serial Sexual Murderers. Gus found her report after speaking with Bishop Tony Caldwell about the missing black females in Missouri. Bishop Caldwell referenced previous serial murders in the area, including Robert Berdella. Dr. Brown's report features Berdella, Seattle's Gary Ridgeway and a number of other White rapists and serial killers. She makes a point of the fact that most of the serial sexual killers are White Men. We discuss what it is about White Culture that produces this pattern of White Male behavior.
