Some great titles in physical media this week and Erik Childress is joined by Peter Sobczynski to convince you to pick them up. They include a great modern con artist noir from Criterion and a lost film from Paul Bartel. The ‘70s bring us some sexploitation horror and Sherlock Holmes hunts Jack the Ripper while the '80s gave us one of the most unique and divisive slasher films. Peter goes to bat for a pair of 4K upgrades from John Carpenter and Tarsem. Stephanie Cawley is a trans woman who is a nurse and an avid White Mountain hiker. In this episode, we speak about hiking the 4Ks and Stephanie's experiences on the trails.A note: we had some phone connection issues in this episode. Rachel Kowalsky is an avid hiker who has hiked New Hampshire's Four Thousand Footers, Vermont's Long Trail, and sections of the Appalachian Trail. Her avid hiking continues in spite and because of her diagnosis with Hashimoto's Disease and, more recently, rheumatoid arthritis. In this episode, Rachel discusses her love of hiking, her adorable and trail-hardy dog Isis, and her recent determination to do another round of the 4Ks in the name of rheumatoid arthritis.
