The Cowboy Way (1 Called Manders & Thomas Shire) anzutreten. Der Höhepunkt des Abends: das wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship Match zwischen Titelverteidiger Elijah Blum und seinem Herausforderer Laurance Roman. Viel wichtiger war jedoch das, was nach diesem Match passierte und einen Grundstein für die nächste Oberhausen-Show „Shortcut to the Top“ legte…
„Gold King“ Ahura steht The Cowboy Way (1 Called Manders & Thomas Shire) gegenüber – sein Tag Team Partner: der inoffizielle fünfte Stützpfeiler der legendären „Four Pillars of Heaven“ Jun Akiyama!
Ryan Wrecker brought on author and former political strategist Patrick Dorinson during this segment to discuss his latest book, The Common Sense Cowboy's Guide to Life: Stories from the Trail, the Barstool, and Everywhere In Between. The Cowboy Way vs. Modern ChaosThe interview centered on applying timeless, rugged principles to navigate today's tumultuous political and cultural landscape:The Core Philosophy: Dorinson, known online as @thecowboylibertarian, explained that his book serves as a "Will Rogers meets Mark Twain" guide. He emphasized how transitioning from political strategy to the cowboy way taught him that life doesn't pay attention to clocks, calendars, or modern societal anxiety.Wisdom Over Fancy Degrees: Dorinson and Wrecker discussed the massive divide between institutional knowledge and real-world wisdom. He emphasized one of his core rules: "A fancy education might gain you some knowledge, but only hard life experiences will gain you wisdom. A PhD won't help you fix a flat tire."Personal Accountability: The segment focused heavily on the breakdown of accountability in current American culture. Dorinson walked through his rules for doing the right thing when nobody is watching, the finality of breaking trust, and why people need to stop wasting time on the "couldas, shouldas, and wouldas" and get busy with the "doin'."Skeptical View of Politics: Drawing from his political background, Dorinson shared a humorous but cynical piece of cowboy wisdom regarding modern leaders: "If you shake hands with a politician, be sure to count your fingers when you let go to make sure you still have all five

In this episode of the Bear Grease podcast, Clay Newcomb interviews Ty Evans, one of the country’s top mule trainers and clinicians. After a broken femur in the arena benched Ty’s rodeo career, he began studying a different approach to training horses and mules than the "Cowboy Way". One based not on brute force, but on trust and understanding how animals actually think. What he discovered taught him that sometimes the solution to problems isn't doing more of the same, but adopting an entirely new way of seeing the world. Bear Woznick rides alongside Father Bryce Lungren, the “Catholic Cowboy Priest” of Wyoming, to explore the rugged, real-life adventure of prayer. Drawing from his new book, The Catholic Cowboy Way of Prayer, Father Bryce reveals that prayer isn't guesswork; it's a discipline, a science of the soul. He shares how his own prayer life was shaped through seminary formation, Benedictine contemplation, and Ignatian discernment, blending the stability of monastic life with the grit of the Wild West.Father Bryce calls men to rise early, meet God in silence, and stay “tuned to the frequency of the Father,” a daily connection that grounds them through every challenge. Prayer, he says, isn't escape; it's saddle time with God, learning to ride through life's storms with peace, clarity, and courage.____________________Catch every season of Long Ride Home - https://www.amazon.com/gp/video/detai...Discover Bear Woznick Deep Adventure Ministries: http://bit.ly/BearWoznickNEWEST BOOK "12 Rules for Manliness | Where Have All the Cowboys Gone" on Amazon or Bear's Online Store https://my-site-100622-104377.square....DONATE TO THE CAUSE: https://www.paypal.com/donate?hosted_...

Ranches, rodeos and public land. This is the story of a surprising battle raging in the American West, and the unlikely coalition it's forged. Nearly half of all land in the West of the United States is owned by the federal government. Some people are trying to change that; they argue that part of it should be used for housing, amid a nationwide shortage. But this debate about land and development has touched a nerve in the Western psyche - tapping into bigger fears that the old way of life is under threat. It's about identity, trust, and the growing popularity of cowboy culture, driven in part by the TV series Yellowstone. In an increasingly polarised United States, this debate about public land is uniting cowboys, environmental activists, conservatives, and progressives. Ellie House reports from Montana, a state where the prospect of a public land sell-off is deeply unpopular, and where people feel like their cultures and traditions are at stake. This episode of The Documentary comes to you from Assignment, investigations and journeys into the heart of global events.

“A man's got to have a code, a creed to live by.” ~ Patrick DorinsonGuest Bio: For the last 35 years I have been involved in all kinds of political combat all across America and I have the battle scars to prove it. He is a writer, speaker and commentator who unlike many so-called pundits and commentators, has actually been in the arena. This ain't his first rodeo. He was a columnist for the FOX News.com Opinion section on the FOX News website. In the past Patrick appeared on Sean Hannity on the FOX News Channel and on Cavuto on the FOX Business Channel as well as on FOX News.com webcasts. For eight years he hosted his own own radio show, The Cowboy Libertarian on iHeart media's KFBK radio station in Sacramento. He currently can be seen weekly as a Newsmax Contributor. Patrick message is, “A man's got to have a code a creed to live by”. Beginning with the Ten Commandments, mankind has always had a code to live by. Today everyone talks about American values, but have no idea what those values are. It has become a throwaway line politicians use but they too have no idea what it means. Patrick Dorinson reminds us that if you have a code and values you will have the foundation for a moral life. Jeff Johnson said "I'm drawn to open country. It's where everything becomes clear. It's where the world makes the most sense. When I put myself out there, I always return with something new. The best journeys are those that answer questions that in the beginning, you never thought to ask". (2010 - 180 Degrees South)Whether it's imagining yourself as a cowboy, or some kind of adventurer, riding a motorcycle takes us to a new space and time. It's hard to explain, isn't it. As for me, out on the lonely dirt roads up in the mountains, often standing on the pegs and riding slowly, yep, I'm a cowboy. Just like Jeff Johnson said in that movie, I too am drawn to open country. Out there, the world does seem to make the most sense.
Ranches can be dangerous places. Unpredictable livestock. Complex machinery. Extreme weather. None of that deterred David McCumber from dedicating a year of his life as a ranch hand up in Montana, even though he had never worked on a ranch. Those twelve months ended up being filled with adventures, lessons and more, enough to fill a book and get it published. Now the managing editor of the Arizona Daily Star newspaper, David joins Russell and Alan to talk about the year he spent in cowboy boots and his book “The Cowboy Way: Seasons of a Montana Ranch.”

Episode 163 Details NEWS OUTDOOR RECREATION OUTPACES DOMESTIC ECONOMY GROWTH The U.S. Department of Commerce just released its latest assessment of the outdoor recreation industry's contribution to the national economy. The result? $1.1 trillion in total economic output during 2022. That's more than oil and gas extraction, and mining, combined. Nationwide, outdoor recreation was responsible for 2.2 percent of the total Gross Domestic Product in 2022, and five million jobs. That's 3.2 percent of total national employment. 2 MEN INDICTED FOR ILLEGAL KILLING, SELLING & SHIPPING EAGLES After a federal investigation revealed incriminating text messages and PayPal transactions, Travis John Branson and Simon Paul have been charged with multiple felonies for poaching bald and golden eagles in northwestern Montana, as well as selling and shipping their parts, according to Outdoorlife.com. Back on December 7th, a federal grand jury issued an indictment in the U.S. District Court of Montana charging the two men with multiple felonies related to illegally killing, selling, and shipping parts from 3,600 birds including federally protected bald and golden eagles. The federal Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act of 1940 prohibits any take of bald and golden eagles without a special permit from the Department of Interior. According to the indictment, penalties for a first offense of trafficking bald and golden eagles can reach a $5,000 fine and a year in prison. Penalties are elevated for second and subsequent convictions to $10,000 in fines and two years in prison. Additionally, the penalty for conspiracy is a $250,000 fine with up to five years of prison and 3 years of supervised release. Lastly, adding on the penalty of the Lacey Act could add up to five years behind bars, supervised release, and another $20,000 fine. The Lacey Act, signed in 1900 by President William McKinley, the Lacey Act protects plants, fish, and animals by civilly and criminally penalizing those who violate its provisions. Including prohibiting the importation of invasive or harmful species, or their introduction to the environment (for example, zebra mussels into lakes and rivers) according to Outdoorlife.com. KENT ROLLINS, THE COWBOY COOK Guests: Kent & Shannon Rollins "SMOKED BOLOGNA" by Kent Rollins ‘Red Rind Steak' would be the name that Kent Rollins's daddy always called Bologna. Kent Rollins shares a recipe that transforms this fine ‘Red Rind Steak' or Beef Bologna into a delicacy that will have you replacing the typical staple meats, like ham, at holidays such as Christmas. This budget-friendly, often overlooked meat, is transformed into a mouth-watering Smoked Bologna. Topped with a respectable glaze, that will have you saying “Move Over Christmas Ham, we're here for the Bologna!” Kent Rollins special sauce is a mixture of brown sugar, honey Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, onion powder, and coarse ground black pepper. Click Here for Recipe. "BEST SMOKED MEATLOAF" by Kent Rollins This classic comfort food, Meatloaf, is given new life as Kent Rollins mixes a spicy meatloaf that's then tossed in the smoker. I really do try to get guests that I genuinely find interesting and those won't all be horse trainers/breeders/vets. Sometimes we go to the peripheral. Kent Rollins is the King of the Cowboy Cooks. "Can't get full on fancy" is his motto. He's been on more cooking shows than you can count. He's beaten Bobby Flay in a head to head Chicken Fried Steak Competition. He's been named the Official Chuck Wagon of Oklahoma by the Governor. More than just a pretty face, Kent has also been named the Best Cowboy Humorist and Storyteller of the Year by the Academy of Western Artists. He's the author of 3 cookbooks, "Comfort Food the Cowboy Way," "Faith, Family & the Feast," and "A Taste of Cowboy." Folks, this guy's funny, tanned, grizzled and smoked. We talk about his 1870's chuckwagon, his 385 lb. stove, Bertha, and much more. How did a cowboy cook grow to have one of the largest cooking channels on YouTube with 2.6 million subscribers? This is a really enjoyable conversation and I can't thank Kent enough for taking time out of his very busy schedule. You can find him and his wife, Shannon, at the following links:https://kentrollins.com/home/https://www.youtube.com/@CowboyKentRollinshttps://www.instagram.com/cowboykentrollins/https://www.facebook.com/cowboykentrollins

NEWS Columbia - This was the biggest story last weekend, one that touched all heartstrings. Four children were found last weekend alive in a jungle in Columbia. The siblings had been missing for 40 days following a plane crash that took the life of their mother and pilots. The children were ages 13, 9, 4, and 11 months. They were able to stay alive thanks to the 13-year-olds knowledge of survivor skills. Small footprints were discovered at the crash site leading search teams to believe the children were still alive in the rainforest, which is home to jaguars, snakes, and other predators. The knowledge of fruits and jungle survival skills kept the siblings alive. Florida - Officials are warning people not to walk dogs near bodies of water, especially as it is alligator mating season. Recently a Florida man saved his dog from an alligator attack. The man was walking the dog along a river bank when an alligator came out of the water and snatched it. The man jumped on top of the alligator and freed his dog. This event spurred the Florida Wildlife Officials again to remind all walking near bodies of water to be on alert and definitely avoid if with pets. Illinois - a 9-year-old Wyoming, Illinois girl has gone viral for catching a Largemouth Bass with a McDonald's Chicken McNugget. The bass weighed 5 lbs. The girl stuck her McNugget on her hook before tossing her lure into a body of water. She reeled the bass in by herself… And this isn't the first time she's been adventurous with her choices of bait. She's had success too with crackers & gummy worms…. LOL… BEC says, HEY - WHATEVER WORKS, and WHATEVER gets kids outside!! FBI WARNING - These things noone is a fan of reporting on however, it is vital that we are all aware and up to date on the latest technology, especially when it could be a potential threat. The FBI is warning people to be careful when posting selfies online. Scammers and hackers are stealing the photos and then using artificial intelligence (AI) and deepfake technology to extort people. This is BAD stuff. The scam artists are placing people's faces on other people's naked bodies in which they then threaten to send pictures or videos to the victim's friends, family, and co-workers. The FBI says the scammers ask for money to not send the fake, X-rated material. THIS is a topic to discuss with your family too as our youth are becoming younger and younger having full access to various social media as well as with the elderly. One tip that BEC can offer is that before sharing photos on social media, like Facebook or Instagram, Snapchat, BeReal, etc... Take the time now to check your privacy settings, so that you are ONLY sharing information with people you want to be and to keep a close eye on your social media Friends Lists, that there have not been “Ghost accounts” created mirroring someone else which was added to your crew when they should not have been COOKING, FISHING & WILDLIFE QUESTIONS Tigger has reviewed the vast number of questions received from listeners and fans of The Bend Show. BEC is a huge pickle fan, and where she is from - You love Ranch Dressing and DILL PICKLES of all varieties! The newest Pickle trend is the answer to your need for an easy recipe or easy appetizer. Dip mini or petite dill pickles into warm, melted chocolate and then set on wax paper to harden. If using Kosher pickles, dip them into the warmed chocolate and then roll the pickles in sea salt and let harden. As mentioned, if you know BEC she will be surprising all of her family and friends this summer with this easy Fourth of July appetizer recipe! If you have a fondue pot, consider this as a fun activity too for the kids. So many possibilities with these Pickle Recipes. Drinking Alcohol and Mosquitos. Another trend across social media has been debunked, drinking Gin & Tonic - we are sorry to report will not WARD OFF mosquitos! BEC & Tigger have heard of many reasons to have a cocktail or two, but not this one until I was approached and then had to investigate. It turns out that drinking alcohol actually makes you slightly more attractive to those biting skeeters, mosquitos. It is advised the best thing one can do is buy a true repellent. Personally, after trying many things; Tigger & BEC have weighed the pros and cons of tick-related diseases such as Lyme disease, one that is often overlooked by the medical world, and now stockpile their household with insect repellents that contain DEET. We know that some of you listening will not agree, and that is OKAY it has just been our family's decision to go after a Deep Woods product that contains preferably 40% Deet. Regardless, this year be sure to NOT be drinking that Gin & Tonic in hopes of warding off the mosquitos, and do plan ahead with some sort of bug repellent! Kent and Shannon Rollins are the force behind teaching the world how to cook like a cowboy. On their YouTube Channel, "Kent Rollins Cowboy Cooking" and their new book, "Comfort Food The Cowboy Way", they share the wisdom, weather and recipes of the American West. This all started somewhere around 1983 when Kent started cooking for an outfitter in a New Mexico elk camp. But really, it started much earlier than that when Kent was a kid and in his later years of being a ranch hand. At some point he traded in the branding iron for the cast iron, and he went to work making sure that cowboys were well fed before and after their long days in the saddle. There are some traditions of the American West that are thought to be gone, that still exist. Cooking for cowboys on the range from a chuck wagon is one of those. In Kent and Shannon's book you get a glimpse of this tradition through the incredible photos that Shannon has taken while they are on ranches cooking. And in Kent's words, he captures the impact of the weather and how the right meal can ease the burden of facing the harshness of Mother Nature from the saddle all day.
