But we start by offering our condolences to the family of Tipperary's Dillon Quirke following his tragic passing last Friday. We chat news including Roscommon and Mayo's under 16 All-Irelands, Tyrone's last gasp win over Wicklow in the Nancy Murray Cup, a memorable day in Croke Park, what must camogie do to build on the feel good factor of All-Ireland final day and beat that 30,000 target. Also, we've GAA fixtures clashing with the camogie finals, Paudie Murray's comments on the Sunday Game and Davy Fitzgerald leaving the Rebelette set-up. We chat to the main stars after all the three All-Ireland wins. And we start with the senior final as Kilkenny won their first O'Duffy Cup since 2020. Cork's tactics at the start before "running" back into the game, Kilkenny's big scores when needed including Sophie Dwyer's goals, Cork getting in a winning position and then nearly saving it with Aisling Thompson's late strike. The intermediate final was a game of two halves. Galway made it count in the first half though we wonder did they need a sweeper? That being said, Cork will be kicking themselves for chances not taken after the break. The Premier Junior Final was the Dervla Cosgrove show (three goals in 84 seconds - four in total) though there were other heroes in Antrim's stunning victory. What happened to Armagh and can they recover? Finally, it's that time of the year where Darren and Killian pick their Super 6. Who will be their players of the year and how many did they agree with, and how many were different. And what do you think? Did they leave a main player out? == SPORTSDAZ CAMOGIE returns in the third week of September 2022 Four episodes of THE FAIR GREEN, featuring camogie legends past and present, will air over the next four weeks. Five-in-a-row, three-in-a-row, same but different. It's all about the Dubs this mizzly Monday morning as they gathered up the men's and women's All-Irelands over the weekend, making their own bits of history align the way. Sean Moran and Keith Duggan join us to talk about Saturday night's replay in Croke Park and all that flowed from it. Dublin's most impressive final victory came after one of the best first halves of football anyone can remember. And though the futures of Jim Gavin and Stephen Cluxton may be up in the air, there's no sense that Dublin's job is finished. Joanne O'Riordan is on the line to talk about the rain-ruined women's final, which Dublin came through in the end to beat Galway. They have changed in front of our very eyes over the years, from the team that threw away All-Ireland after All-Ireland at the start of the decade to comfortably the best team around now. Turns out it's almost certainly down to Joanne trolling Sinead Goldrick in 2014. And chiming in from downtown Tokyo, Gavin Cummiskey is on the line with news of Robbie Henshaw and Joey Carberry. More thrillingly, he brings tales of his unease in the face of basic Japanese good manners. All in your Monday Added Time, with Malachy Clerkin and Pat Nugent. The Dubs did it. History was made and Jim Gavin achieved what the games' greats, Mick O'Dwyer and Brian Cody, couldn't do. The promised land of the 5-in-a-row was reached. For the final Throw-In of the season, Will Slattery and Michael Verney were joined by the Irish Independent's Donnachadh Boyle as well as Tomás Ó'Sé to reflect on the game and the Dubs' wider place in history. Plus, Cork legend, Bríd Stack, was also on the show to look back on the ladies final decider. "People talk about All Irelands will come for this Kerry team," says Ó'Sé. "But by who and how? The players have to make it happen, it won't just come." Eoin Murchan gets the Throw-In's final Rising Star award for the Championship with his incredible goal and stand-out performance and just shows how Gavin has been able to consistently renew and change the Dublin team across their five-in-a-row. "I retired in 2013 and thought this feeling wouldn't be back, but it is," Tomás Ó'Sé tells the panel. "It's just a feeling of being flat and depressed, it's hard to describe." It was also a double for Dublin GAA with the Ladies team winning their own three-in-a-row with victory over Galway. Despite a record crowd of 55,000+, it wasn't a spectacle to be enjoyed. Bríd Stack joined the lads with her analysis and believes that the narrow, direct running game on show didn't showcase the best of what Galway and Dublin are about. Does the end justify the means? Three-in-a-row will probably say it does. For more from the Throw-In, visit the show page at: www.independent.ie/podcasts/the-throw-in/ The Throw-In is in association with Bord Gáis Energy.

2017 Footballer of the Year Andy Moran has announced his retirement from inter-county football. In a wide-ranging interview for ‘The Players Chair' with Richie Sadlier on the Second Captains World Service, the man with more appearances for Mayo than any other player has said that having discussed it with James Horan this weekend, he's made his decision to retire, and has told his team-mates that he will not return for another season. Moran won a National League title earlier this year, Mayo's first national title in 18 years. In between those two league wins the county had reached 10 national finals, three league and seven All-Irelands, including the 2016 replay. Andy was in the Mayo panel for them all, and only serious injury prevented him playing in all 10 – a cruciate injury that forced him to miss the 2012 All-Ireland, when he was the team captain. Over the course of a 16-year career, he became one of the totemic figures on a Mayo team that was the compelling story of the GAA world in this decade. He also spoke to Richie about becoming a father, losing his own Dad, Mayo's goldfish bowl, and the second-half collapse against Dublin in this year's All-Ireland semi-final. The interview will be released on the second Captains World Service tomorrow (Tuesday) morning, at 7am. Colin thought about what he wanted to do with his life and took his passion for brewing coffee and opened up a whole new world to him. He's even written a jaysusin' book on running coffee shops, has taken part in the World Barista Championships a number of times and has even been on Six One News. I didn't want to bring it up in the interview but unlike me, he's probably never won a bronze 60m hurdle medal in the All-Irelands so I guess you can't have it all. This is the last episode of The 80% for the Christmas break and I'll be back in the New Year with even more fantastic, all-singing, all-dancing, wi-fi enabled guests plus hopefully more live shows! Thanks to all of you who have listened and supported the podcast this year (and always). You're a great bunch and the most discerning sets of ears in the universe ; ) I hope you get a break over Christmas (I'll be working for some of it so my sympathies to those of you who do too) but I am looking forward to transforming into a major sloth for a few days. If this is a crappy time of year for you, don't worry. It will all be over soon and trust me, all will be well. The road to the World Cup starts in, eh, Chicago this Saturday as Ireland take on Italy at the start of the November series. We get stuck into the month ahead with John O'Sullivan and Gavin Cummiskey, pondering, among other things, the depth of the Ireland squad and the marginally less-than-certain future of Joe Schmidt. Later, Neil Cotter joins us in studio to talk about his new book Dublin: The Chaos Years. It details the, in hindsight, frankly weird period between the 1995 and 2011 All-Irelands when the Dubs were our version of the England football team, hyped up to the last and sure to exit the championship the first time they ran into a decent team. Or, as the rest of us like to call it, the good old days. Throw in a bit of love for Paul Mannion and that's your Tuesday Added Time podcast with Malachy Clerkin and Gavin Cummiskey.

On this week's episode of the Throw-In, Will Slattery looks back on the All-Ireland ladies football final with Dublin star Noelle Healy. Dublin secured back-to-back titles after finally getting over the line against Cork, after losing three consecutive deciders to the Rebelettes in 2014, 2015 and 2016. However, on this occasion Dublin were able to beat their biggest rivals, and Healy admits that the prospect of finally beating Cork was spoken about often in the pre-game build-up. Healy reflects on the tactical tweaks that Dublin brought to their game in order to come out on top, as well as the impact made by manager Mick Bohan, who has won All-Irelands in his first two years in charge. Healy also reflects on the leap forward made in ladies football, with over 50,000 supporters attending yesterday's game at Croke Park, as well as the areas where she would like to see an improvement in the future.
