Happy Woo Wednesdays! Catalina is a badass boss babe! The funny thing is that Catalina used to hate photo-booths. She thought they were hideous and she wasn't about to put a wig on her head as a prop, ewe. When she was introduced to Brandon Wong's (episode 8) Photobooth Supply Company at WPPI she was amazed at how stunning the photo-booth looked. She bought her 1st booth with her parents emergency credit card, named her company MDRN Photobooth Co. and hit the ground running turning his biz into a 7 figure business in less than 6 years. She charges a lot more than average for her photo-booth packages but clients pay her prices because she stands out from the rest of her competition. She teaches us the secret sauce to standing out in an overly saturated market. Catalina is the founder of MDRN Photobooth Co., Canada's leading photobooth company. About Brandon Wong: Born with an entrepreneurial spirit, Brandon began his first business in college with his future wife, Katrina Santos. They chose the creative industry of wedding photography, and it took off... literally. The jetsetters found themselves photographing nuptials in Australia, Mexico, Singapore, Canada, and all over the US. Shortly after graduating college, their business had surpassed six figures in profit. Finding it difficult to scale a service-based business, Brandon and Katrina decided to invest in an automated photographer, a photobooth. This machine captured memories and generated income at a higher margin. The couple soon discovered that this product could be an incredible asset for other photographers all over the world. So, the pair spent their entire life savings to attend WPPI, the world's largest wedding photography convention as a vendor selling their first invention: The Legacy Booth. The wildly successful show gave birth to Photobooth Supply Co, and Brandon immediately used the earnings to purchase a wedding ring for Katrina. In this episode, Jamie, Heather, and Brandon discuss:Photos booths for every event.Logistics: generate demand and generate leads.Diversify your photography and your audience. Quick, easy, cheap way to build your income.ey Takeaways:Lead generation from photo delivery to personal devices.Quick, touchless set up with fun filters to spice up your party.Merging the in person event with the virtual event by creating a photo album that includes each audience.Utilize trade shows to generate interest and increase sales."We don't just sell a photo booth, we sell a business in a box.” —  Brandon WongConnect with Brandon Wong:Website: https://photoboothsupplyco.com/?aic=R73LKH3&utm_campaign=referralcandy_28151_1531141929&utm_source=referral&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_term=R73LKH3    Connect with The Union Podcast:Website: https://theunionpodcast.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/unionpodcast/?hl=enShow: https://theunionpodcast.com/our-podcast/ Connect with Jamie:YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdAcY6YGgF-RgGYXTsOENbAWebsite: https://jwcoordination.com/Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jwcoordination/?hl=enFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/JWCoordination/ Connect with Heather:Website: https://theweddinghacker.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/weddinghackerInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/weddinghackerexpoPinterest: https://www.pinterest.com/theweddinghacker/ Show notes by Podcastologist: Kristen BraunAudio production by Turnkey Podcast Productions. #Victoria #BCHL #NCAA #AHL #ECHL #VHL This episode was a very special one as we welcomed one of nicest guys in pro hockey! Brandon Wong has a great life in the game of hockey and he shared his story with us. Brandon worked very hard as a young player and improved yearly and ended up playing more than 400 games of professional hockey over 9 seasons in 8 different countries around the world. As a young guy he went to the Canucks rookie camp and he played with Jordie Benn, Michael Grabner and many others and they shot pucks on Cory Schneider. He played in the Detroit Red Wings, New York Rangers and Ottawa Senators organizations. He has played with Wade Redden, Cam Talbot, Thomas Tatar, Justin Abdelkader, Matt Zuccarello, Brad May, Dale Wiese, Jacob Kindle to just name a few. He was coached by Mike Keenan, played in the John Tortorella system in New York. Played under Jim Nill the GM of the Dallas Stars, Neil Smith former GM of New York Rangers when they beat the Canucks in 1994 and won the Stanley Cup. He also played for Jim Schoenfeld who played in the NHL for Buffalo, Detroit and Boston and was an NHL head coach with Buffalo, New Jersey, Washington and Phoenix. His life story is enjoyable to listen to and find out about the many steps, twists and turns he took on his adventurous journey. He played locally here in BC growing up and started to become increasingly skilled. We discussed those early years and lots of the players and people he encountered as he embarked on a junior career in the VIJHL and then BCHL. His success led to a full ride four year scholarship at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut where he ended up with a business management degree. He was twice a finalist for the Hobey Baker award as the best player in the nation in University hockey. He called those four years "the best time of my life "which he said was surprising looking back. He wanted to play in the NHL so much that he thought that was where he was going to have the time of his life. He played in the American Hockey League and East Coast Hockey League as he worked on finishing university. After three full seasons there he took his talents to Europe and played in Sweden and had a great year there. He took an opportunity to finish the year in Denmark and made that move. Another opportunity in the US came calling and he suited up for another three seasons for four different teams there. He went back to Europe and this time played in Germany and had a great year. The KHL made an offer to him that he seized and played there for his final seasons. He looked very fondly on that experience and really enjoyed the free travel all over Russia and China. He is now running a hockey program in Victoria, BC Canada where he grew up. He is coaching, mentoring and trying to help pave the way for young kids to follow the same incredible journey that he went on. Good luck to Brandon and to his kids that he is helping fulfill their dreams of becoming pro hockey players and having it enrich their lives! Enjoy, Take Care, Love yah, Bye for now.

With the help of marketing and strong brand recognition, Brandon and his team at Photobooth Supply Co. are redefining what photobooths can do and how they can do it. You'll hear Brandon's come-up story from wedding photographer to CEO, gain some valuable insight on starting a business, and learn how Brandon and the Photobooth Supply Co. are changing the game when it comes to photobooths. Support the show (http://www.strixmedia.com)

Welcome back to Finding Freedom. In this episode, I speak to former marine turned lead generation specialist Brandon Wong of Faucet Marketing.Brandon got out of the marines to find that he didn't want to follow the same rules as everyone else. So he decided to take a different approach and started investing and selling realty. After a bad day with a plumber, Brandon figured it wasn't for him and decided to go a different route. Now Brandon still uses his background as a realtor but his job is to generate leads instead of selling them and in the process, help make them more successful. We started talking and I soon found out, we weren't being recorded, so we enter this conversation after a little technical difficulties but we were able to come back full circle. Here's my conversation with Brandon Wong of Faucet Marketing.

The invasion resumes! In this episode, bridging season 1 and 2, we hear from a group of fans about their first loves in science fiction and fantasy. Our guests include the owners of Vancouver's White Dwarf science fiction bookstore, Jill Sanagan and Walter Sinclair; Vancouver film critic Thor Diakow; and fans-about-town Geordie Howe and Brandon Wong. Some of the interviews were conducted around Greater Vancouver (accounting for the non-stop construction noise in the background), while others were held in the lair of bloginhood, located in an abandoned coal mine deep beneath the Cumberland village centre park on Vancouver Island. Be sure to tune in over the coming weeks for more episodes from our new season of Invaders From Planet 3!   Visit iTunes to subscribe to Invaders From Planet 3 and download episodes, and be sure to rate the show while you're there!   Let the invasion begin!
