On 18th March 2024, Afghanistan's remote and southeastern Paktika province found itself subject to aerial bombardment. The airstrikes, carried out in the early hours of the morning, were conducted by Pakistani military planes from across the Durand Line. A statement soon released by Islamabad confirmed the airstrikes, claiming these were in response to a recent a deadly TTP attack in Mir Ali, South Waziristan, that had killed scored of Pakistani troops. The target of the airstrikes was reported to be Abdullah Shah: a commander in the TTP's Hafiz Gul Bahadur faction, rumoured to be hiding in Afghanistan. The airstrikes triggered a barrage of artillery fire from the Afghanistan side in response, whilst locals in Paktika Birmal said that the airstrikes had only killed civilians. Videos soon circulated on social media purportedly showing Abdullah Shah alive and in South Waziristan. In this episode, Sangar Paykhar hosts Ali Mustafa to discuss what the unexpected flare-up between the two neighbours means for their complex and difficult relationship, and what the attack reveals about the fragility of Pakistan's own domestic politics in the aftermath of a controversial election marred by allegations of fraud and rigging. Ali Mustafa is a Pakistani-Canadian journalist and a graduate from Columbia University's School of Journalism. He has produced content for Canadian Broadcasting' Corporation, Dawn News Network and CNBC as a producer, video-journalist and news-anchor, and later worked at TRT World as a correspondent in which he covered the Afghan peace process and the end of the US occupation in 2021. The Randy Taylor Show This will be your show- and a way to begin to change what's wrong- a home for your calls, opinions and solutions.   Randy Taylor has been an icon on GTA radio airwaves and television for over 25 years. His message is simple – give people a voice and they will get involved and find the solutions to help make this country better. His background is anything but typical, having grown up in poverty, violence and parental alcoholism and was homeless and alone at age 14. His working life has resembled something like Forrest Gump. As a teen he began in manual labour, then moved into sales, owned two companies (catering and swimming pools) began his broadcasting career at age 28 and made it to the very top of Canadian Broadcasting. He has driven a racecar, written 3 books, ran for federal politics in 2000 and is a father to five. Randy is also an expert in behavioural neuroscience and founded Taylormadeleadership 21 years ago, coaching, training and speaking to many of the top corporations in Canada. His interest in politics and our country began at a very young age. In a recent interview, he said, “I was very young. My earliest memory of politics was of President Kennedy when he said at his inauguration, “Ask not what your country can do for you but what you can do for your country”. I felt moved and was triggered very young to believe great leaders can inspire an entire nation to rise up. His words inspired an entire nation to know they were a part of it. I've never forgotten those words. To this day I still believe we can all rise up and elect the right person to change the trajectory of our country for the better and allow us to one day say, “Do you see that? We made it better”. Randy now brings his engaging show to Sauga960 AM starting September 11th – weekdays from 9-10 am. "Just the way we elect governments one vote at a time we can change this country the same way"

THE THESIS: The Climate Police are real and the endgame is about constricting the food supply to the “food” The party patents and produces. They have done this before. The Covid Response Hoax was a behavioral kills chute to drive people into the control of The Party: no early treatment, no meaningful information, just scare tactics and all roads lead to the mRNA injections and “vaccines” passports.   THE SCRIPTURE & SCRIPTURAL RESOURCES:  There is no shortage, there is abundance. The shortages come from evil people pursuing greed. Exodus 16 - Manna and Quail THE NEWS & COMMENT: Great news for the Great Barrier Reef! Meanwhile, Home Depot is running a Twitter ad bragging about its ESG creds - the comments are hilarious.  Meanwhile, in Colorado . . . The government locked the thermostat in the houses people thought they owned. They claim people signed up for an emergency energy reduction program . . . I bet that was in the small print.  Glenn Beck: “If you want to see what ‘climate enforcement' looks like, take a look at what Canada is building: A massive facility in the middle of Canada's agricultural heartland that will house everything from an armory and interrogation rooms to Biolabs and "controlled quiet rooms." But, worry not - the Environment and Climate Change Ministry is anxious to set the record straight: Environment Canada says online reports of 'climate police' are false … by the way, that's a link to the Canadian Broadcasting, think NPR-Canada.  Plus, Canada's version of The party would never harm their citizens . . . From the CBC: “Medically assisted deaths could save millions in health care spending: Report” The Covid response hoax was the Climate Catastrophe Hoax, but with the timeline sped-up, the money easter to make and the killing of people done more quickly.  The WEF has pushed lockdowns for climate. Will they be as deadly as the medically useless, politically motivated, wealth-shiting Covid lockdowns? From a preprint new study by John Johnson from Harvard  “We find that the regulatory imposition and enforcement of statewide shelter-in-place or stay-at-home orders conclusively correlates with larger health-status-corrected, per capita, all-cause mortality by state. This result is inconsistent with the hypothesis that lockdowns saved lives.” While a precise estimation of the excess mortality due to lockdowns is beyond the scope of this paper, we can make a rough estimate based on Figure 6. The three most populous states(California, Texas, Florida) have above-baseline COVID-period increases of approximately 1 per 10,000. On the basis of one calendar year (52 weeks), and for a population equal to that of the entire USA, this would correspond to approximately 110,000 deaths, which could be attributed directly to the impacts of ordering lockdowns and which would not have occurred if lockdowns had not been implemented. This value is consistent with the lockdown excess mortality estimate of 97K/year by Mulligan & Arnot (2022) Remember, CCP Tony pretends he never ordered lockdowns, which is a lie. The new Covid-Czar is just as horrific  [AUDIO] - Joe Biden's covid response coordinator Ashish Jha: “The goal in my mind is not to go back to normal, the goal is to build a very different new normal that has equity much more at the heart of it." A “new normal”, Jha? Like this? [AUDIO] - FBN's @EdwardLawrence: "The attorney generals [sic] from Missouri and Louisiana say there's a vast censorship enterprise across a multitude of federal agencies." KJP: "Yeah, I'm just not going to comment at this time." Hey, look - this is getting censored in American media. I wonder why . . .  More frightening news about fertility and the mRNA shots, this time from Singapore; Births are plunging EXACTLY on schedule, nine months after mass Covid vaccinations The incredibly rapid uptake of vaccines among young Singaporean adults offers a natural experiment in the effect of mRNA shots on fertility. (Roughly 98 percent of all the jabs Singapore gave were mRNA from Pfizer or Moderna. Chinese vaccines used traditional inactivated virus technology made up the rest.) Like other East Asian countries, Singapore is suffering severe baby bust. The average woman in Singapore has fewer than 1.2 children, barely half the birth rate needed to avert a long-term decline in population. As low as the birth rate was, though, it had remained stable for a decade. Even Covid did not meaningfully change the number of births - 39,259 in 2019, 38,590 in 2020, and 38,672 in 2021. In the first two months of 2022, Singapore received welcome news. Births actually rose about 7.5 percent. Then came March. Again, Singapore began mass mRNA vaccinations of women (and men) of childbearing age in June 2021; March 2022 is exactly nine months later. In March, the increase in births abruptly reversed. Between March and June 2022 - the most recent month for which figures are available - Singapore has recorded about 1,000 fewer live births compared to 2021, a decline of 8.5 percent. The drop has been consistent each month. -- that's a 16% drop!  Oh, hey . . . this is being suppressed in America. I wonder why . . .   New ivermectin study shows 92% lower chance of COVID death [AUDIO] - From the makers of Plandemic, a brief film on Ivermectin . . . In the early 1980s, the University of Alberta funded a series of experimental literary radio programs, which were broadcast across the province on the CKUA community radio network. At the time, CKUA station had just been resurrected through a deal with ACCESS and was eager for educational programming. Enter host and producer Jars Balan – then a masters student in the English department with limited radio experience. For five years, Balan produced three radio series, Voiceprint, Celebrations, and Paper Tygers, which explored the intersection of language, literature, and culture, and he interviewed some of the biggest names in the Canadian literary scene, including Margaret Atwood, Maria Campbell, Robert Kroetsch, Robertson Davies, and many others. This episode is framed as a “celebration” of those heady days of college radio in the early 80s. In it, clips from Jars's radio programs, recovered from the University of Alberta Archives, supplement interviews with Balan and audio engineer Terri Wynnyk. Special tribute will be given to the recently departed Western Canadian poets Doug Barbour and Phyllis Webb through the inclusion of their in-studio performances recorded for Balan's own Celebrations series. By looking back on the pioneering days of campus radio, this episode sheds light on the current moment in scholarly podcasting and how the genre is being resurrected and reimagined by a new generation of “academics on air.”Special thanks to Arianne Smith-Piquette from CKUA and Marissa Fraser from UAlberta's Archives and Special Collections, and to SpokenWeb Alberta researcher Zachary Morrison, who worked behind the scenes on this episode.SpokenWeb is a monthly podcast produced by the SpokenWeb team as part of distributing the audio collected from (and created using) Canadian Literary archival recordings found at universities across Canada. For the first time since 1991, the federal government is updating the country’s Broadcasting Act. Little did they know the firestorm that would arise against Bill C-10.  Heritage Minister Steven Guilbeault has been the one feeling the heat, online and elsewhere over his Bill, which attempts to bring some regulation to the Internet and support for Canadian content. Social media companies like YouTube, Google and Netflix contribute nothing to Canadian content, unlike traditional broadcasters. Or at least that’s what the government is saying. Bill C-10 intends to bring them under regulation and have them support Canadian creativity. The argument has devolved into a dispute whether it would limit or monitor your social media feeds.  The cry of “censorship “ has rang out across the country as people worry about curbs to their freedom of expression. It has also become a political football as the Conservatives cite C-10 as Orwellian.  __________________________________________________________ Our Unpublished.vote question asks:  Question: Do you think Bill C-10 should be passed as is, or be amended? Answer choices: Passed / Amended / Unsure You can log on and cast your ballot at Unpublished.vote right now.  __________________________________________________________  Today on the Unpublished Café podcast we take a look at the legislation and try and clear up some misconceptions.  Joining us is Kate Taylor, Visual Arts critic with the Globe and Mail; Daniel Bernhard, Executive Director of Friends of Canadian Broadcasting; and Michael Geist, Canada Research Chair in Internet and E-Commerce Law at the University of Ottawa.

Daniel Bernhard, from Friends of Canadian Broadcasting, joins us as we talk about an epic battle down under. The Australian government has taken on the role of David in an epic struggle with the Goliaths of Big Tech, Facebook and Google. Australia demanded that Facebook and Google pay news organisations for use of their content. While Google finally decided to make a deal, Facebook chose to play dirty by blocking Australian news —this even included some government health and emergency pages. The world has criticized Facebook for removing legitimate news and information during the pandemic crisis. Interestingly, Facebook has since reached an agreement with the Australian government—so what does this all mean?Did Facebook further hurt its already tainted reputation?  What kind of impact will Australia's new legislation actually have? How do Canadian and American media companies feel about this deal?

Ottawa – The National Campus and Community Radio Association/l’Association nationale des radios étudiantes et communautaires (“NCRA/ANREC”) has thrown its support behind We Choose, a campaign sponsored by the watchdog group FRIENDS of Canadian Broadcasting. Canadians support and understand the need for vibrant Canadian media and worry about the scourge of misinformation delivered by social media. FRIENDS’ We Choose campaign is putting that support on the political map as the federal election approaches. Erin Flynn, CHUO Station manager (left), Daniel Bernhard, FRIENDS’ Executive Director (centre), National Campus and Community Radio Association Exec. Dir. Barry Rooke (right). “Our political leaders need to know that voters strongly support public service broadcasting, especially local services, and understand the indispensable role of local voices in our democracy. FRIENDS recognizes that our member stations deliver a vital public service. That’s why we are supporting this essential campaign,” says NCRA/ANREC Executive Director Barry Rooke. “We will be encouraging our members and supporters to participate in FRIENDS’ campaign in any way they can,” says Rooke. FRIENDS is distributing We Choose Canada, We Choose CBC and We Choose Canadian Journalism lawn signs in 22 battleground ridings to demonstrate the full extent to which voters will support policies – and politicians – that strengthen public service broadcasters and all Canadian media. Volunteers in these ridings are taking the campaign to community events and are also briefing candidates one on one. “We are extremely pleased that the NCRA has thrown its support behind this campaign,” says FRIENDS Executive Director Daniel Bernhard. “The NCRA represents a very important group of public service broadcasters who help to keep our democracy alive and our communities connected in increasingly difficult conditions. Canada needs this campaign to succeed, and with the NCRA on board, our prospects for success have markedly improved.” Canadian journalism is gravely endangered. During the past ten years, thousands of journalists have been laid off. 250 media outlets have closed, many in small- and medium-sized communities with few alternative sources of news and information. Meanwhile, CBC/Radio-Canada remains one of the most poorly funded public broadcasters in the developed world. “Our democracy needs more journalists and local media,” says Daniel Bernhard, Executive Director of FRIENDS. “It’s time for Ottawa to support our media and end the special treatment that gives foreign media giants like Facebook and Google an unfair advantage over our own media.” The federal government has acknowledged the journalism crisis. But Ottawa’s bailout package is grossly inadequate compared to the magnitude of the problem. And it does nothing to deal with the root source of the problem: the flight of advertising revenue to foreign digital publishers which Canadian tax policy actively encourages. This major oversight has been noted by the journalism organizations asked by the federal government to help design the bailout program. FRIENDS of Canadian Broadcasting is a non-partisan watchdog group supported by 364,000 Canadians that works to keep Canadian story-telling and journalism strong on air and online. The National Campus and Community Radio Association/L'Association nationale des radios étudiantes et communautaires (“NCRA/ANREC”) is a not-for-profit national association working to recognize, support, and encourage volunteer-based, non-profit, public-access campus, community and native radio broadcasters in Canada. Our goals are to ensure stability and support for individual stations, and to promote the long-term growth and effectiveness of the sector. More than 100 campus and community radio stations across the country belong to the association. -30- For information: Jim Thompsonjim@friends.ca 613-447-9592 NCRA/ANREC Contact: Barry Rooke barry@ncra.ca 613-321-1440
