Petra Higby is the CEO and co/sister founded Caviar Co. Petra was born and raised in Lubbock, Texas and her father is from Holland, and mother is from Texas. Immediately after college graduation, Petra moved out to Carmel, CA to take an internship with Coastal Luxury Management, assisting with putting on L.A. Food & Wine, and Pebble Beach Food & Wine events. This opened up my eyes to the culinary industry and the passion to work in hospitality. After this internship, she moved to San Francisco and got a job working for a local caviar company. While working for the first caviar company, Petra was lucky enough to be involved in multiple aspects of the business, ranging from marketing to sales. After sparking an interest in aquaculture and sustainable sturgeon farming, she went to work for a caviar farm for two years, focusing on marketing. Despite loving working for the farm, I was aching to work with a more diverse range and variety of sturgeon species. In 2015, Petra and her sister founded The Caviar Company in San Francisco, CA. A purveyor of fine caviar opening your palate to one of the finest delicacies in the world. The Caviar Co. mission is to provide unsurpassed caviar collections with quality, integrity, and sustainability.Really enjoyed our conversation on location at their San Francisco Union Street store. We dive into Petra's background and how she started her own company , caviar education and history, different types, what kind to get, along with special collaborations and events. The Caviar Co.https://thecaviarco.comSupport the show

It's so fun when we get to have guests back on the show that we love, but it's especially fun when we get to catch up after we haven't talked to them for awhile! This guest joined us in the very first year of our show in the For the Love of Laughter series, and she was fire then, and she's fire now, 5 years later. We're talking about the amazingly talented and hilarious Anjelah Johnson-Reyes, one of our favorite comedians in the whole wide world! You know her from her awesome Nail Salon comedy sketch, which launched her career, or as her character from MadTV, Bon Qui Qui, and from her amazing comedy specials. When Anjelah was with us last time, she shared that she and her husband had chosen to pursue their careers to the fullest and had made the very personal decision to not have kids. But it's funny what can change in five years, and Anjelah is now the proud mom of 3 month old Rosie Harlow Reyes. She shares what led to the decision to have a baby, what she's learned in this season - which she also candidly shares on her YouTube channel via a series of videos called Postpartum Confessions. Whether she's on stage doing comedy, acting on TV and in movies, or hosting podcasts with her husband Manny, Anjelah gives a great perspective on how life can take us where we least expect to go, and how we can laugh about it a little along the way. * * * Thank you to our sponsors! I had the absolute pleasure of speaking with comedian and actress Anjelah Johnson-Reyes about her new stand-up special "Say I won't" which premiered on Sunday May 14th and is currently streaming for free on YouTube! Anjelah recently wrapped up her successful comedy tour in theatres across North America. In Los Angeles, she sold out The Wiltern four times with over 8,000 tickets sold. In Texas she sold over 25,000 tickets across Houston, Austin, Dallas, Lubbock, San Antonio, and El Paso. As part of her special tapings, she sold out the historic Ryman Auditorium twice with over 4,000 tickets sold. This year the comedian will co-star opposite Eddie Murphy in the Amazon Prime holiday film, Candy Cane Lane, and in Amy Schumer's Life & Beth's season two on Hulu. Her book, "Who Do I Think I Am: Stories of Chola Wishes & Caviar Dreams," recently came out in paperback. Anjelah's anecdotes of growing up caught between her Mexican heritage and American culture, her rise to success in Hollywood which all started when she was a Raiderette cheerleader, and so much more resonated with readers. Those same relatable stories connect her in a meaningful way to her fans and has driven her social media engagement through the roof (she has nearly one million followers on Instagram, over one million followers on Facebook, and over three million on TikTok). You can see it now on HBO Max, & Amazon Prime. She is making stops in Hawaii and Vancouver on her One Last Time tour — she won't say whether it's truly her last — tweeting (or “twoting,” as she calls it) to her more than half a million followers,On a Saturday Night LIVE's spoof "The Dionne Warwick Show", with  NEW Compilations of Music. It includes collaborations with Kenny Lattimore & Musiq SoulChild along with new versions of her classics & some original classics. She's also touring again Worldwide!! On November 26, 2021, Warwick released the single "Nothing's Impossible" a duet featuring Chance the Rapper. Two charities are being supported by the duet: SocialWorks, a Chicago-based nonprofit that Chance founded to empower the youth through the arts, education and civic engagement, and Hunger: Not Impossible, a text-based service connecting kids and their families in need with prepaid, nutritious, to-go meals from local restaurants.Dionne was also named Smithsonian Ambassador of Music!!Additionally, Warwick  began a highly anticipated concert residency in Las Vegas on April 4, 2019Scintillating, soothing and sensual best describe the familiar and legendary voice of five-time GRAMMY® Award winning music legend, DIONNE WARWICK, who has become a cornerstone of American pop music and culture. Warwick's career, which currently celebrates over 50 years, has established her as an international music icon and concert act. Over that time, she has earned 75 charted hit songs and sold over 100 million records.Marie Dionne Warwick, an American singer, actress, and television show host who became a United Nations Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization and a United States Ambassador of Health. She began singing professionally in 1961 after being discovered by a young songwriting team, Burt Bacharach and Hal David. She had her first hit in 1962 with “Don't Make Me Over.” Less than a decade later, she had released more than 18 consecutive Top 100 singles, including her classic Bacharach/David recordings, “Walk on By,” “Anyone Who Had a Heart,” “Message to Michael,” "Promises Promises,” “A House is Not a Home,” “Alfie,” “Say a Little Prayer,” “This Girl's in Love With You,” “I'll Never Fall in Love Again,” “Reach Out For Me,” and the theme from “Valley of the Dolls. ”Together, Warwick and her songwriting team of Burt Bacharach & Hal David, accumulated more than 30 hit singles, and close to 20 best-selling albums, during their first decade together.Warwick received her first GRAMMY® Award in 1968 for her mega-hit, “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?” and a second GRAMMY® in 1970 for the best-selling album, “I'll Never Fall in Love Again.” She became the first African-American solo female artist of her generation to win the prestigious award for Best Contemporary Female Vocalist Performance. This award was only presented to one other legend, Miss Ella Fitzgerald.Other African-American female recording artists certainly earned their share of crossover pop and R&B hits during the 1960′s, however, Warwick preceded the mainstream success of her musical peers by becoming the first such artist to rack up a dozen consecutive Top 100 hit singles from 1963-1966.Warwick's performance at the Olympia Theater in Paris, during a 1963 concert starring the legendary Marlene Dietrich, skyrocketed her to international stardom. As Warwick established herself as a major force in American contemporary music, she gained popularity among European audiences as well. In 1968, she became the first solo African-American artist among her peers to sing before the Queen of England at a Royal Command Performance. Since then, Warwick has performed before numerous kings, queens, presidents and heads of state.Warwick's recordings of songs such as “A House is not a Home,” “Alfie,” ”Valley of the Dolls,” and “The April Fools,” made her a pioneer as one of the first female artists to popularize classic movie themes.Warwick began singing during her childhood years in East Orange, New Jersey, initially in church. Occasionally, she sang as a soloist and fill-in voice for the renowned Drinkard Singers, a group comprised of her mother Lee, along with her aunts, including Aunt Cissy, Whitney Houston's mom, and her uncles. During her teens, Warwick and her sister Dee Dee started their own gospel group, The Gospelaires.Warwick attended The Hartt College of Music in Hartford, Connecticut, and during that time, began making trips to New York to do regular session work. She sang behind many of the biggest recording stars of the 1960′s including Dinah Washington, Sam Taylor, Brook Benton, Chuck Jackson, and Solomon Burke, among many others. It was at this time that a young composer named Burt Bacharach heard her sing during a session for The Drifters and asked her to sing on demos of some new songs he was writing with his new lyricist Hal David. In 1962, one such demo was presented to Scepter Records, which launched a hit-filled 12 -year association with the label.Known as the artist who “bridged the gap,” Warwick's soulful blend of pop, gospel and R&B music transcended race, culture, and musical boundaries. In 1970, Warwick received her second GRAMMY® Award for the best-selling album, “I'll Never Fall In Love Again,” and began her second decade of hits with Warner Bros. Records. She recorded half a dozen albums, with top producers such as Thom Bell, Holland-Dozier-Holland, Jerry Ragavoy, Steve Barri, and Michael Omartian. In 1974, she hit the top of the charts with “Then Came You,” a million-selling duet with The Spinners. She then teamed up with Isaac Hayes for a highly successful world tour, “A Man and a Woman.”In 1976, Warwick signed with Arista Records, beginning a third decade of hit-making. Arista Records label-mate Barry Manilow produced her first Platinum-selling album, “Dionne,” which included back-to-back hits “I'll Never Love This Way Again,” and “Déjà vu.” Both recordings earned GRAMMY® Awards, making Warwick the first female artist to win the Best Female Pop and Best Female R&B Performance Awards.Warwick's 1982 album, “Heartbreaker,” co-produced by Barry Gibb and the Bee Gees, became an international chart-topper. In 1985, she reunited with composer Burt Bacharach and longtime friends Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder to record the landmark song “That's What Friends Are For,” which became a number one hit record around the world and the first recording dedicated to raising awareness and major funds (over $3 Million) for the AIDS cause in support of AMFAR, which Warwick continues to support.Throughout the 1980′s and 1990′s, Warwick collaborated with many of her musical peers, including Johnny Mathis, Smokey Robinson, Luther Vandross, Jeffrey Osborne, Kashif and Stevie Wonder. Warwick was also host of the hit television music show, “Solid Gold.” In addition, she recorded several theme songs, including “Champagne Wishes & Caviar Dreams,” for the popular television series “Lifestyles of the Rich & Famous,” and “The Love Boat,” for the hit series from Aaron Spelling. In November, 2006 Warwick recorded an album of duets, “My Friends & Me,” for Concord Records, a critically acclaimed Gospel album, “Why We Sing,” for Rhino/Warner Records, and a new jazz album, ”Only Trust Your Heart,” a collection of standards, celebrating the music of legendary composer Sammy Cahn for Sony Red/MPCA Records. Additionally, in September 2008, Warwick added “author” to her list of credits with two best-selling children's books, “Say A Little Prayer,” and “Little Man,” and her first best-selling autobiography, “My Life As I See It” for Simon & Schuster.Always one to give back, Warwick has supported and campaigned for many causes and charities close to her heart, including AIDS, The Starlight Foundation, children's hospitals, world hunger, disaster relief and music education for which she has been recognized and honored and has raised millions of dollars. In 1987, she was appointed the first United States Ambassador of Health by President Ronald Reagan and in 2002, served as Global Ambassador for Health and Ambassador for the United Nations' Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO), and she continues to serve as Ambassador today. In recognition of her accomplishments and support of education, a New Jersey school was named in her honor, the Dionne Warwick Institute for Economics and Entrepreneurship. Warwick was also a key participating artist in the all-star charity single, “We Are the World,” and in 1984, performed at “Live Aid.”Celebrating 50 years in entertainment, and the 25th Anniversary of “That's What Friends Are For,” Warwick hosted and headlined an all-star benefit concert for World Hunger Day in London. In addition, she was honored by AMFAR in a special reunion performance of “That's What Friends are For,” alongside Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder at AMFAR's Anniversary Gala in New York City. Warwick also received the prestigious 2011 Steve Chase Humanitarian Arts & Activism Award by the Desert Aids Project and was recognized for her stellar career by Clive Davis at his legendary Pre-GRAMMY® Party in Los Angeles. Adding to her list of landmark honors, Warwick was a 2013 recipient of the coveted Ellis Island Medal of Honor in New York and was inducted into the 2013 New Jersey Hall of Fame.On March 26, 2012, Warwick was inducted into the GRAMMY® Museum in Los Angeles, where a special 50th Anniversary exhibit was unveiled and a historic program and performance was held in the Clive Davis Theater. Additionally, a panel discussion with Clive Davis and Burt Bacharach was hosted by GRAMMY® Museum Executive Director, Bob Santelli.Commemorating her 50th Anniversary, Warwick released a much-anticipated studio album in 2013, entitled “NOW.” Produced by the legendary Phil Ramone, the anniversary album was nominated for a 2014 GRAMMY® Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. “NOW” featured special never-before-released material written by her longtime friends and musical collaborators, Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Most recently, Warwick released a much anticipated star-studded duets album titled “Feels So Good,” featuring collaborations with some of today's greatest artists including Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ne-Yo, Gladys Knight, Cee Lo Green, Cyndi Lauper and many more. “Feels So Good” was released through Bright Music Records, Caroline and Capitol.Warwick's pride and joy are her two sons, singer/recording artist David Elliott and award-winning music producer Damon Elliott, and her family. ~ DionneWarwickonLine.com© 2023 Building Abundant Success!!2023 All Rights ReservedJoin Me on ~ iHeart Radio @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBASAudacy:  https://tinyurl.com/BASAud

~ DionneWarwickonLine.com© 2022 Building Abundant Success!!2022 All Rights ReservedJoin Me on ~ iHeart Radio @ https://tinyurl.com/iHeartBASSpot Me on Spotify: https://tinyurl.com/yxuy23baAmazon ~ https://tinyurl.com/AmzBAS

Margaret Josephs steps Behind The Rope. Margaret is here to chat about her new book, “Caviar Dreams, Tuna Fish Budget: How to Survive in Business and Life”. Not so fast Marge, we love you and all, but first we gotta chat about all that was RHONJ Season 11 as we head into the reunion later this week. We chat with Margaret about the Evan “rumor” heard ‘round the world, Teresa and Jackie, the origins of that rumor, and will we get answers at the reunion as to who started this rumor? In other RHONJ news, Margaret weights in on Joe and Melissa - their marriage, how worried is she, or should we be, about their future, and the truth about those “divorce rumors” which seem to be circulating in the press, in part, by Melissa herself. We ask Margaret, "just what is it about Jennifer that annoys you so much (where to begin???), her current Twitter feud with her, and just where does one need to draw the line. Margaret opens up about the men in Teresa’s life, ex-husband Joe Giudice - who is still as much a part of the show as he was in Season One - as well as Luis Ruelas - has she met him, what does she think, has Tre changed as a result of meeting him, is Tre moving too fast, and is she worried based on the recent “press” of his alleged “past”. Of course, we have to address the elephant, or lack thereof, in the room, Danielle Staub and how different is this season without her. We pay homage to the past - The Manzos, Kathy Wakile, Jacqueline Laurita and so on and look ahead to the reunion - what issues is she coming in hot about and does the reunion solve or cause more issues for the RHONJ ladies. Speaking of “Caviar Dreams”, Margaret chats about how the book came about, the writing process and the decision to include topics such as her wild childhood with Marge Sr. as a mom and “sleeping” with her boss. What’s better than an entrepreneurial success story?... two entrepreneurial success stories! BFFs Dani and Jess both started their own wildly successful companies whilst students and working other jobs. Dani launched Inked by Dani, a temporary tattoo company, from her Senior year dorm room. Her hand drawn creations quickly amassed a celeb following and became a mainstay at the hippest retailers. Jess launched her fine jewelry line, Bondeye Jewelry on Goop after reaching out to Gwyneth Paltrow directly. Bondeye was born out of inspiration from her time in Australia and the fact that Jess felt there to be a lack of fine jewelry available that spoke to her kooky style and personality. Now they have come together for a collaboration that they manifested into existence! They combined their talents to bring Dani’s hand drawn designs into fine jewelry pieces, each which comes with a matching tattoo. These two young women are ones to watch; infectious energy, a hustle factor like no other and the knowledge that women supporting women is the way to live your Caviar Dreams!

Pretty Mess meets #Girlboss in this part memoir, part entrepreneurial manifesto from The Real Housewives of New Jersey's "Powerhouse in Pigtails." Margaret Josephs is a hustler. She's a tough cookie. She speaks her mind. She never leaves the house without lipstick on. She's also a devoted wife, mother, daughter, businesswoman, lifestyle expert, and fan-favorite star of the reality TV series The Real Housewives of New Jersey. Sounds pretty glamorous, right? Well, things are never exactly as they seem. Before she arrived where she is today, "The Marge" was born to young immigrant parents. Raised by a single party-girl mother who left her physically abusive father when she was one and a half, she was taught that it was more important to look good than to feel good. No structure. No rules. No blueprint for future success or stability. But like most people who struggle through atypical childhoods, destructive relationships, and career challenges, she forced herself to wake up every morning and put one high heel in front of the other, even if she didn't know where she was going. Margaret took the cards she was dealt and eventually turned them into a winning hand, and she wants to arm fans with the ability to do the same. In Caviar Dreams, Tuna Fish Budget, she'll talk about how to launch a lifestyle brand, how to work with family members, and how to be an uncompromising woman in a man's world. She also spills stories from her personal life about the son Real Housewives viewers don't know exists, the time Joan Rivers gave her the best advice she ever got, the rendezvous she had with a famous rock star, and the affair with her contractor that ended her marriage but gave her the happily ever after. Caviar Dreams, Tuna Fish Budget takes readers along Margaret's wild, bumpy journey to entrepreneurial success and reality TV fame, written in her trademark no-nonsense, tongue-in-cheek voice with the perfect combination of grit and glitz.

Remember fidget spinners? Joe doesn’t. (2:18) This week in the news: We talk about the Amazon fires and their relationship to soybean farming and tariffs. Then, in celebration of David Koch’s death, we introduce the David Koch Memorial Asset Liquidation Index, a rating scale we made up for the billionaires we cover. We decide, on a scale of 1 – 10, how urgent it is that the billionaire’s assets are immediately liquidated and the proceeds distributed among their victims. It goes without saying that all billionaire fortunes should be liquidated and redistributed, but we want to liquidate some more quickly than others. David Koch is the namesake of the rating scale because he was unquestionably a perfect 10. (12:40) Bharat Desai and Neerja Sethi: 2.5/10 Desai and Sethi are a married couple who started a technology services company that basically outsources various business needs to overseas workers. They sold the company a few years ago and have retired to Fisher Island, FL. Fisher Island is a tiny island right next to Miami Beach, and it is currently the wealthiest zip code in the US. It is only .3 sq. mi., and has a population under 500. A lot of rich people buy condos there and establish the place as their primary residence because Florida doesn’t have state income tax. This trend has seen a huge boost since the 2017 Republican tax bill capped property tax deductions at $10,000. We end up talking about Pizzagate and “hypothetical” food-based criminal code languages. We highly suggest checking out Opulence Magazine’s (a magazine about South Florida luxury condos) Fisher Island party videos: https://vimeo.com/162627583 https://vimeo.com/16225305 (35:55) Conrad Prebys: 4/10 Conrad Prebys was, apparently, a messy bitch who loved drama. He was estranged from his son, then reunited with him, and then wrote him out of his will. He made his money in the construction business in San Diego, and later in life made a bunch of big philanthropic donations to build buildings with his name on them. Many were for performing arts centers, and others were for buildings on university campuses. Joe pops off about how stupid it is that debt-laden universities keep building new, expensive buildings that accrue more debt because they think nicer buildings will recruit more students. Unsurprisingly, there’s not much data to support that claim. We come back around to the Koch brothers, their donations to universities and the inherent problems with those kinds of donations, and we finish up with a dramatic reading of an article defending David Koch’s legacy that drives Chad over the edge. Additionally, Warwick will begin a highly anticipated concert residency in Las Vegas on April 4, 2019 Scintillating, soothing and sensual best describe the familiar and legendary voice of five-time GRAMMY® Award winning music legend, DIONNE WARWICK, who has become a cornerstone of American pop music and culture. Warwick’s career, which currently celebrates over 50 years, has established her as an international music icon and concert act. Over that time, she has earned 75 charted hit songs and sold over 100 million records. Marie Dionne Warwick, an American singer, actress, and television show host who became a United Nations Global Ambassador for the Food and Agriculture Organization and a United States Ambassador of Health. She began singing professionally in 1961 after being discovered by a young songwriting team, Burt Bacharach and Hal David. She had her first hit in 1962 with “Don’t Make Me Over.” Less than a decade later, she had released more than 18 consecutive Top 100 singles, including her classic Bacharach/David recordings, “Walk on By,” “Anyone Who Had a Heart,” “Message to Michael,” "Promises Promises,” “A House is Not a Home,” “Alfie,” “Say a Little Prayer,” “This Girl’s in Love With You,” “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again,” “Reach Out For Me,” and the theme from “Valley of the Dolls. ”Together, Warwick and her songwriting team of Burt Bacharach & Hal David, accumulated more than 30 hit singles, and close to 20 best-selling albums, during their first decade together. Warwick received her first GRAMMY® Award in 1968 for her mega-hit, “Do You Know the Way to San Jose?” and a second GRAMMY® in 1970 for the best-selling album, “I’ll Never Fall in Love Again.” She became the first African-American solo female artist of her generation to win the prestigious award for Best Contemporary Female Vocalist Performance. This award was only presented to one other legend, Miss Ella Fitzgerald. Other African-American female recording artists certainly earned their share of crossover pop and R&B hits during the 1960′s, however, Warwick preceded the mainstream success of her musical peers by becoming the first such artist to rack up a dozen consecutive Top 100 hit singles from 1963-1966. Warwick’s performance at the Olympia Theater in Paris, during a 1963 concert starring the legendary Marlene Dietrich, skyrocketed her to international stardom. As Warwick established herself as a major force in American contemporary music, she gained popularity among European audiences as well. In 1968, she became the first solo African-American artist among her peers to sing before the Queen of England at a Royal Command Performance. Since then, Warwick has performed before numerous kings, queens, presidents and heads of state. Warwick’s recordings of songs such as “A House is not a Home,” “Alfie,” ”Valley of the Dolls,” and “The April Fools,” made her a pioneer as one of the first female artists to popularize classic movie themes. Warwick began singing during her childhood years in East Orange, New Jersey, initially in church. Occasionally, she sang as a soloist and fill-in voice for the renowned Drinkard Singers, a group comprised of her mother Lee, along with her aunts, including Aunt Cissy, Whitney Houston’s mom, and her uncles. During her teens, Warwick and her sister Dee Dee started their own gospel group, The Gospelaires. Warwick attended The Hartt College of Music in Hartford, Connecticut, and during that time, began making trips to New York to do regular session work. In 1962, one such demo was presented to Scepter Records, which launched a hit-filled 12 -year association with the label. Known as the artist who “bridged the gap,” Warwick’s soulful blend of pop, gospel and R&B music transcended race, culture, and musical boundaries. In 1970, Warwick received her second GRAMMY® Award for the best-selling album, “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again,” and began her second decade of hits with Warner Bros. She then teamed up with Isaac Hayes for a highly successful world tour, “A Man and a Woman.” In 1976, Warwick signed with Arista Records, beginning a third decade of hit-making. Arista Records label-mate Barry Manilow produced her first Platinum-selling album, “Dionne,” which included back-to-back hits “I’ll Never Love This Way Again,” and “Déjà vu.” Both recordings earned GRAMMY® Awards, making Warwick the first female artist to win the Best Female Pop and Best Female R&B Performance Awards. Warwick’s 1982 album, “Heartbreaker,” co-produced by Barry Gibb and the Bee Gees, became an international chart-topper. In 1985, she reunited with composer Burt Bacharach and longtime friends Gladys Knight, Elton John and Stevie Wonder to record the landmark song “That’s What Friends Are For,” which became a number one hit record around the world and the first recording dedicated to raising awareness and major funds (over $3 Million) for the AIDS cause in support of AMFAR, which Warwick continues to support. Throughout the 1980′s and 1990′s, Warwick collaborated with many of her musical peers, including Johnny Mathis, Smokey Robinson, Luther Vandross, Jeffrey Osborne, Kashif and Stevie Wonder. Additionally, in September 2008, Warwick added “author” to her list of credits with two best-selling children’s books, “Say A Little Prayer,” and “Little Man,” and her first best-selling autobiography, “My Life As I See It” for Simon & Schuster. Always one to give back, Warwick has supported and campaigned for many causes and charities close to her heart, including AIDS, The Starlight Foundation, children’s hospitals, world hunger, disaster relief and music education for which she has been recognized and honored and has raised millions of dollars. In 1987, she was appointed the first United States Ambassador of Health by President Ronald Reagan and in 2002, served as Global Ambassador for Health and Ambassador for the United Nations’ Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO), and she continues to serve as Ambassador today. In recognition of her accomplishments and support of education, a New Jersey school was named in her honor, the Dionne Warwick Institute for Economics and Entrepreneurship. Warwick was also a key participating artist in the all-star charity single, “We Are the World,” and in 1984, performed at “Live Aid.” Celebrating 50 years in entertainment, and the 25th Anniversary of “That’s What Friends Are For,” Warwick hosted and headlined an all-star benefit concert for World Hunger Day in London. In addition, she was honored by AMFAR in a special reunion performance of “That’s What Friends are For,” alongside Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder at AMFAR’s Anniversary Gala in New York City. Warwick also received the prestigious 2011 Steve Chase Humanitarian Arts & Activism Award by the Desert Aids Project and was recognized for her stellar career by Clive Davis at his legendary Pre-GRAMMY® Party in Los Angeles. Adding to her list of landmark honors, Warwick was a 2013 recipient of the coveted Ellis Island Medal of Honor in New York and was inducted into the 2013 New Jersey Hall of Fame. On March 26, 2012, Warwick was inducted into the GRAMMY® Museum in Los Angeles, where a special 50th Anniversary exhibit was unveiled and a historic program and performance was held in the Clive Davis Theater. Additionally, a panel discussion with Clive Davis and Burt Bacharach was hosted by GRAMMY® Museum Executive Director, Bob Santelli. Commemorating her 50th Anniversary, Warwick released a much-anticipated studio album in 2013, entitled “NOW.” Produced by the legendary Phil Ramone, the anniversary album was nominated for a 2014 GRAMMY® Award for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. “NOW” featured special never-before-released material written by her longtime friends and musical collaborators, Burt Bacharach and Hal David. Most recently, Warwick released a much anticipated star-studded duets album titled “Feels So Good,” featuring collaborations with some of today’s greatest artists including Alicia Keys, Jamie Foxx, Billy Ray Cyrus, Ne-Yo, Gladys Knight, Cee Lo Green, Cyndi Lauper and many more. “Feels So Good” was released through Bright Music Records, Caroline and Capitol. Warwick’s pride and joy are her two sons, singer/recording artist David Elliott and award-winning music producer Damon Elliott, and her family. ~ DionneWarwickonLine.com © 2019 Building Abundant Success!! 2019 All Rights Reserved Join Me on Facebook @ Facebook.com/BuildingAbundantSuccess

Hi and welcome to Episode 8 of the View 112 Podcast. Between those of you who listen to the podcast on line at View112.com or those of you who read the show notes, I appreciate the support! Today is Saturday April 1st! We are officially done with 1 quarter of 2017. The topic for today's podcast is 2017 Q1 Review. This year, I took a different approach to my New Year's Resolutions and planning. I did set goals for the year, but I also mapped out a quarterly plan. I changed my approach because I noticed at the end of 2016, there were some goals I set for myself that I didn't accomplish or had not even thought about doing, mostly because I didn't have a plan. I spent the last quarter of the year trying to see if I could hit the target on some of the goals I set way back in the beginning of the year. I didn't feel good trying to play catch up so I decided to make a change. For the most part, setting quarterly goals has been a hit. I set high level goals like: write more, keep in shape, complete school, improve finances, and take care of my health. I mapped out Quarter 1 with a list of to-dos and ideas. January: Register for school, complete whole 30, book all medical appointments (eye, dentist, physical, gyn, therapist), file divorce paperwork, complete 1 blog post per week for 112Books.com, and 112 Book Drive?February: Prep for big move at work, stay strong in class work with discussion boards, yoga/beach body/run/bike (wellness challenge at work), complete 1 blog post per week, consider home buying options and lower car payment, build professional network, consider Paleo.March: Keep focused with school work, prep for lenten season, game plan summer semester, 1-2 blog posts per week. Running plan/bike plan/yoga, decide if moving (lease is up), sharpen writing skills (maybe a class), and Women's History Month (consider advocacy and literacy activities)Some highlights to note: 1. I did not really picture View 112 (blog or podcast) being a thing so this has been quite the experience. Through it all I have posted 2 times a week, for which I am very proud. This and my school work has helped sharpen my writing skills a bit. Still, I do need to work on more professional development in this area. 2. I did improve my financial outlook by slightly lowering my car payment, getting out of a bad loan, and getting a new car in the process. I also negotiated and renewed my lease for one more year, 3. I have maintained my physical fitness with spinning yoga, and started a new running plan a couple of weeks ago, and 4. I am wrapping up 2 classes toward my degree: Human Resource Management, and Entrepreneur Venture Planning. In the past, I have often registered for classes and then mid semester when things get crazy at work, I drop the classes. Not this time. Ya girl has been, not just hanging in there, but thriving. Trending for As in both classes. Obviously there are some things that didn't get done. I will incorporate them into my Q2 Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams for Spring: 1. I didn't take care of all of my medical appointments. I did go to the eye doctor and the dentist in March. I still need to get my annual physical and GYN exam. Which leads me to 2. My eating habits are kind of a problem. Sloppy. Still working out fairly regularly, but my diet is a mess. Whole 30 was an epic fail in January. I didn't make it past my birthday. 3. I would not say I've built my professional network though I am pleased with some of the advances I've made professionally. I need to join a writing group, conference, MeetUp or something in this space as a freelancer. You know, just be around other people who do this. Plus View 112 is totally different than 112 Books and I need to upgrade my plans and goals to match the expectations I have for this new platform. At work, I'll be celebrating 5 years (2 in my current role) in May and haven't expanded my network to collaborate or work with anyone new in at least a year. 4. About that divorce paperwork...yeah I need to get to it. Looking back like this helps me see my progress but also identify what I need to do in Q2. At this pace I will accomplish a lot more in 2017 than I did in 2016. So how about you? Where are you with your 2017 resolutions, goals, plans? Would you benefit from a quarterly strategy and review? Here's what it looked like when I mapped it out in late December. I'm working on that Q2/Q3 update now: First Draft of 2017 Quarterly Plan...
