This week we begin Season 9 of the podcast and this season we are diving into the world of cults. From the well-known to the lesser-known.Today we're going to be looking at Heaven's Gate, which is probably one of the least well-known cults around. They were founded by Marshall Applewhite in the 1970s, and they were one of the first groups to make use of the internet as a way to recruit new members.They were also known for their extreme belief in alien abduction and life on other planets.
